I enjoyed your video, I liked the overcast sky lighting. That brought out the rich red color that contrasted with the wheels and the lights. I'm coming up on 4 of the 6 months waiting period.

Excellent review. It's difficult to find a Prius Prime XSE Premium in NYC especially with the color and some options I wanted. I foud one outside of NYC (after several months of looking), and it's currently in the "production stage." I put money down to reserve it and the ETA is the end of March. The wait time for the new Prius is very challenging.

We got our 2024 Prime in late March, after a 21 month wait. Actually ordered a 2022 ! Loving ours. 1,400+m and a third of the dealer tank is still with us. EV Mode for us for the next 10 years.

Hey there, thank you for reviewing this and showing us around! I'm planning to trade in my Tacoma and maybe grab one of these. My concern is around charging from home since I don't have a garage, I'm not sure what that solution would look like. I live in a smaller town (around 30,000 people) so I'm not exactly surrounded by chargers by any means. But my v6 2015 Tacoma gets around 18 mpg if I'm lucky and my daily commute is around 80 miles. So this Prius may save me upwards of $6 per day. Effectively paying itself off entirely within around 25 years.
Btw I did want to point out that the car is not shooting radar at your face. A camera isn't going to pick up radar signals as they're not within a visible band of radiation. Those are IR lights. The same thing we use on cameras to see in the dark. Also the same tech that most cellphones use to confirm your face ID. 😁

Thanks for the note and yeah charging can be tough in those situations but at least using it as just a hybrid will still get you great fuel economy.

      Hi Jeremy,
No need to worry about home charging. The Prime arrives with an onboard charger the runs on 115v. All you need to have at home is an exterior GFI rated outlet. Even if you have to hire an electrician to install such an outlet it will not cost much. If you want, you can also buy a Level 2 charger ($300USD), and use that for cheaper and faster charging.

Thanks for this great video. Is there a difference between the 2023 and 2024 Prime XSE models? Thank you
