Father Pucci - Made in Heaven "Annoying" That sounds like a personal problem. Anyway we know Freeza's stronger but Buu was built up to be on the team before the tournament started, and he was picked to be on the team before the arc even started! I'm like don't fuckin waste storytelling time on having Buu in there if you're just gonna take him out again because he fell asleep again, for like the 3rd or 4th time. It's like this huge, unnecessary tease.
Apparently toriyama wanted frieza to be in the tournament of power from the start, and not buu.
Also, having an infinite stamina character that can also heal everybody would have been troublesome for the story.
Goku was supposed to be out of energy for half the fights he was in. If buu was there, he could have restored him every time.
^Well I think Toriyama wanting that was dumb. But anyway, Goku already kept regaining his stamina left and right without Buu, so it really doesn't matter if Buu would have been the cause or not. Besides, Buu wouldn't even have to play the role of stamina restorer, since other characters on the team are already able to do that by giving their ki to each other. And I'm pretty sure that Buu doesn't have infinite stamina (unlike 17 and 18), but even if he did, 1) he's not invincible and can still be eliminated, and 2) if that's such a problem for the story (which it really shouldn't be), then maybe they shouldn't build things up to having him on the team to start with! That's just a waste of time.
It's fun listening to Cell now because last year I met his voice actor Dameon Clarke. Really awesome guy and the inspiration for Cell's voice came from Superman 2.

"bUt fIgHtErZ iS nOnCaNoN" The truth is, having Buu sleep gives the writers a convenient excuse to not have him fight. Your guess is as good as mine as to why they don't want Buu to fight. Despite his abilities, Super has established that he's not exactly the strongest fighter so...idk.
Steak Breakfast I think it was mentioned in a interview that the reason they didn't want Buu to fight was because he could just turn everyone into candy, and that would give Universe 7 a "unfair" advantage.
I wouldn't mind a 3d dragonball series like this

The reason why Goku never really takes his enemies seriously is because mainly 90 percent of the time the villain is using to many eloquent phrases and for to many complex threats for him to comprehend as a real threat. For instance after hearing a long acidic speech from Frieza 15 minutes later...Goku: Are we gonna fight?
