  • Hey everyone! Happy Friday. In today's video we do a deep dive into the alkaline diet and present you with some facts. In my personal opinion I do not believe this is a good diet to follow as it excludes meat - an essential food necessary for optimal human health. Hope that you enjoy this video.

Informative video! It's also worth noting that a human's stomach pH is about 1.5. This is consistent with carnivorous animals like dogs and hyenas. This acidity is necessary to break down the bacteria in meat. Omnivores have stomach pH of 2-4, and herbivores have stomach pH of 4+

Smart lady, well done, I also have researched all these acidic alkaline diets, my conclusion matches yours.

If one has a Keto / Ketovore / Paleo lifestyle then you don't have to even think about Ph. Great metabolic health comes from eating human food.

Great video 🙂 However, I think you meant to say that the alkaline diet claims to increase the body's PH level, not lower it. A lower PH is more acidic.

I use beef tallow cream from Fancy Farm. And once a week I scrub my face with a 100% honey scrub - no other ingredients.

That's fine, but ... different foods react differently in our unique bodies ! For some, meat and acid foods do affect one's physiology. I think it can also depend on one's genetic weaknesses. That's why some thrive on vegan diets, some on raw vegan, some on Dr McDougall's starch-based plant diet ! And ... Dr Robert Morse is working hard to heal people who can't deal with acids, maybe due to kidney weakness. So, we can just find what works for each of us !

Any time someone starts paying attention to what they eat instead of just shoving whatever food come along in their mouths, they are probably going to see some improvements. Humans have unique superficial characteristics such as hair color and height but, internally we are all the same species. There is a species appropriate diet.
"Kidney weakness" is a result of eating too many carbs. Dr. Berry has some great videos on this topic if you would like to learn more.
The alkaline diet is complete and utter bunk.

its interesting because whenever the topic of a low carb diet comes up with a friend of mine this is exactly what she says. This argument sounds wrong to me but I never know what to say and in this case I think say nothing is most appropriate

Agree. I’m so over extremism and black & white foodies. I thrive on a Whole Foods diet, personally. A lot of people in these communities are just regurgitating the gurus of these diets, anyway.

@@abby_stewart This is why I like Dr. Berry's concept of a "Proper Human Diet" being a spectrum anywhere from keto to ketovore to carnivore. Everybody can find his/her own place to thrive on that spectrum. I was disagreeing above with someone saying that some people thrive on veganism and starch because we are all so unique. That's just not true. Any diet that needs to be supplemented that heavily, is not natural or healthy, IMO.
