Okie, let me explain the running water a bit... With this design of the stove setting, the inside of the "fire pit" is extremely hot, especially the strength of the fire is boosted by a powered blower, so it's just like a blacksmith furnace. The running water here serve as cooling mechanic, cooking water and cleaning water all at the same time, and if you don't let the water running and keep it cool, the stove can get damaged due to overheating.
Not many people have experience cooking with a jet propulsion engine though
ahhhhh so des ka thanks!
Uncle Roger explains this in the video.
so essentially its the kitchen equivalent of watercooled pcs?
@@pl4zm4dragosfgv12 Yap, sort of... Just imaging that you can also use the the heated up water from the watercooler to make coffee when you are using the computer...
Chef Wang is the most pro Chinese cooking channel on the internet. Quick videos, no bullshit, just cooking and honesty. Even if you don't speak Mandarin the subtitles are good, and even without subtitles sometimes it is easy enough to follow if you recognize the subtitles
Uncle Wang are the real pro
Well he's Chinese... He should know his egg fried rice. It's their pride ☺️. I am proud even if I'm not a Chinese. As a chef, I welcome innovation, but will forever honor the authentic ones.
Lots of ways to use the running water. Main principle is to keep the surface of the cooking top cool, so it doesn't get damaged due to the high heat the stove creates.
The water can be used to top up on soup stock, which some restaurants have and use.
Water also used for cooking, whether to flash steam or boil.
Water for cleaning, woks are easy to clean on the stove, due to them still being quite hot and well oiled before cooking, a splash of cold water helps remove any stuck food items, and makes it easy to clean, and there is a drain on the left of the chef that filters any food items.
Imagine having to pile woks in a sink for cleaning like western pans in a western kitchen. It also means less hands needs for washing up. since everyone is responsible for their own wok.
You can also wet Jamie oliver's dry packed rice ;)
@@grummmly hahahaha
Cold water is always necessary. To clean the wok, to shock blanched food to stop cooking, to add into wok to cool while cooking...etc
Did Peach inadvertently roast Auntie Helen?🤣🤣🤣
Very big fan of chef Wang he makes alot cooking tutorials in a brief No bullshit manner, and is overall down to earth. My favorite is when he tried surströmming (a swedish kind of fermented Cannes herring, that the internet likes to make challanges out of), but instead of taking the piss, Wang took the time to look up how to eat it properly and was overall very respectfull, though after doing it the swedish way he decided it needed chili oil 😅
For finding a word similar to "para-para" of japanese in chinese, you can try this word "粒粒分明".😀
Regarding cooling water: Chef Wang explains it in this video: czcams.com/video/uTSsXQ-9bnQ/video.html
It is to prevent heat damage to the cooking appliances from overheating. 👍 He also does a demo of what will happen to the stove when the water evaporates.
That was a good video.
Peach is so Pretty and her reaction is so Cute❤️
chef wong gong is amazing, i can smell his food through screen
Uncle smile was so wholesome, I rewatch a few time's. That all we want. Make our family and friends smile.
Your English collectively is perfect. As an Englishman myself I understand all your intricacies and humour. I don't think you need subtitles at all x bless you for wonderful content
I think he is using the lower part of the green onion to fry with and the greenest part for garnish/finishing. Also, since one of the reasons for outdoor kitchens is the smell of the aromatics/spicy elements, and Japanese cuisine has fewer of these, it makes sense that fewer outdoor kitchens are found there.
That water keeps the burner from over heating, the gas fire is very powerful.
Also running water kan be used to keep some ingrediënts cool. I tend to make nasi goreng with a cold topping of cucumber quarters and beansprouts and lettuce, which you keep in slow running water so they stay nice and cold.
So you just make nasi goreng and then you add cucumber, beansprouts and lettuce. After that you add some saté sauce and break some krupuk on top of it as a finishing touch garnish. Due to the cold topping its a very refreshing meal to eat on a hot day.
Indo bro?
@@wrenchhanjaya6484 Nope just Dutch. Lots of Indo around me all my life though, but that's not too crazy since Indonesia was part of The Netherlands. 😉
the cooking equipment will break without the running water. it cools the equipment.
I've only just stumbled across your channel and I'm really enjoying your content. Your English is very good, you don't need subtitles. Have subbed. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
In all reality... outdoor kitchens just make sense... you can make a large fire... but the smells are also not contained to a confined space. You can drop stuff and it becomes fertilizer :).... you can even make a mess and not really worry about what visitors think....
She's so cutee when she learns what its for. So happy👌
Lol hilarious as usual. Definitely made me hungry for once!!
Very Cooool earrings 🍑 Upping your fashion game every episode YE EAHH 😋
So good 😁
I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to go to hibachi style in the US several times, and I've got to say, I've never been disappointed. The restaurants may be separate, but each cooks almost exactly the same, which means they aren't making stuff up.
About para-para, in Brasil we say the rice is "soltinho".
You guys are wonderful. So bright and fun. It seems that Uncle Roger is bringing in a lot of new channels using CZcams algorithm. Wishing you all the best.
Cooking session!!
Just hilarious 😂😂 Waiting for your version of fried rice 👌👌
Oh, that already happened! Check out their video section of their CZcams page.
The fact that Peach knows Dragon Ball... Instant sub!

I can't say I blame hime for Nigella Lawson 😍
19:13 that surprise smile haha
I love you Peach!
Nice amount of chilli!
damn, i'm binge watching your videos lol
I think that when you reach 3,000 subs you should take us out to see a little bit of Japan! (depending on the Covid situation of course).
Yes please
6:29 Those are actually leeks and people usually throw away the tough green part. Green onions (or spring onions) really look like tiny onions with long stringy leafs attached to it, like this : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scallion#/media/File:CSA-Red-Spring-Onions.jpg
I discover your channel because of Uncle Roger. Its funny to think that Uncle Roger roasting Jamie Olivers cooking.
I cant cook any delicious dish, but I can eat them. 😍
So pretty!
You should check chef wang video if you want more information about the water. He explains it
Well yeah fresh running water always you know can be diverted anywhere it needs to be used. So fresh cold running water has many uses. It just has to be kept in check so that there's not too much waste.
Para para is part of my vocabulary now :)
I think it's similar with/ or can be called "old way Air Conditioner" in the pass?
Tabasco is not spicy and it has vinegar which is gross. Harissa is spicy, but there are two kinds, the traditional roasted one and the one made from fresh chilies which is a little sweeter.
I have been drinking Tabasco out of the bottle since I was seven or eight years old. I understand where your coming from.
That kind of stove is like a metal smelting furnace
its gas powered with an air fed blower
the water keeps it from literally melting.
Please review Yang Zhou fried rice by chef Wang gang 😉😉
Gordon Ramsay kitchen nightmares. Honestly anything Gordon ramsay, or some of the voiceless foreign gourmet shows that are German or middle eastern, they have no commentary but the strange and unique way that they perform is always very entertaining and I bet you guys would do a great job of broadening the perspective on those shows! Thank you so much! Sugoi!
I subscribed only for Peach. ❤️
Para-para = silk rice. Smooth, separated and creamy.
Hihihihihi
Lol, in Israel or in Hebrew "para-para" means "cow-cow" which used to be an advertisement campaign for milk chocolate in the most popular milk chocolate bars in there. There was a song associated with "para-para" as it's main chorus.
Q & A!!! How did you guys meet? What is your relationship to each other?
I love Peach
Kungfu Hustle is worth reacting to, if you haven't.
You guys should try some reaper Carolina reaper if you guys want to try spicy
水會一直開著是因為火太大了 如果水燒乾了 那個灶台會燒壞的
I highly recommend you to watch chef James Makinson, he is a professional chef who also reacts to Uncle Roger but I think you may be interested in his informative manner and calm personality.
Please, can u do a show where you explain the Japanese TEA ceremony and what each step means or is symbolising please. Pretty pretty please 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Please riview uncle roger get roasted with malaysian pro chef...chef wan..it would be awesomw
You're so pretty...
just like an engine without radiator or coolant, it will overheat easily and be toasted
Para-para in chinese word "粒粒分明"
Reacted to mr olive oil makeing Indo. gado gado , see how he mass up again.
The running water is spring water. That's why they dont close it
Its a typical water source in mountainous areas. They connect water hoses in springs that's why they dont close it
Signed demon slayer art⁉️ so cool
Water is spicier that Tabasco…
it will be easier for chef to wash the wok and add water.
Did anyone tell you look like elder version of emiru from OTK gaming group
Para para = singulation
Pls react on Filipino foods too....
Is she emiru mom? Look similiar to me
You have the Demon Slayer show in the background I like that
Could go meta and react to your first video
Here I was thinking Peach didn't speak English much because she wasn't that confident
para para = 颗粒分明
Are you guys Husband and wife? Or Business partners?
Para para mandarin (da san 打散)
umm....spring onion and green onion...different thing right?
Spring onion = scallion = green onion
Is the beautiful lady single? So attractive 😍
Wow I forced the handful of your videos in the last week or so that she speaks in Japanese but this is the first time I tune in and she starts speaking in English with a perfect North American accent. Just totally threw me off
u wanna seperate each grain of rice? so u are ricist?
you watch dragon ball too?how old are you?
dragon ball was old
he is using pan to scoop on spoon because its a non stick pan. 15:40
It is a wok made by metal, not a non stick pan. He used a bit of oil to heat up the wok, then pour it out, add cold oil in wok, so the wok can be non stick this time.
This girl don't looks like japanese at all! sorry to ask but you half? I mean you half Japanese or Caucasian?
Half Japanese half canadian
Where is Steve from? He looks really creepy
