Even though Ilmango doesn't focus that much on decorating, the sheer amount of Redstone magic usually looks a lot cooler than most builder players make
Came to the comments to say something basically the same! Lol
Form from function
@@Federico-1 it doesn't just look cool, it *is* cool and everything has a purpose
I have a theory of mine that beauty follows from functionality. Or usefulness. Or whatever that property is. Like physical theory is beautiful if it is most useful. But sometimes cause and effect gets confused and people say that beauty defines usefulness of a theory. That is sad for me because those people lost their hope of understanding reality.
@@user-fl5wl9zf2d this only applies to things with intended functional purpose no? what about a lone flower in a blizzard?
It's astonishing how far you've come with the insane limitations of the start. Having to wait more than 20 episodes just for cobblestone and now having fully automatic farms is insane.
Ilmanga, I think the amount of episodes you have been producing has been amazing. Also, this is definitely one of the best series on youtube right now. Also, this was a really interesting episode!
ah yes, ilmangA
@@Malk3 duuuudee you don't understand he is talking to his wife, she is the best Minecraft player (it's funny because manga in Spanish means sleeve so it sounds weird)

@@5wet_ jajaja la manga enferma
Ilmanga? I would definitely read that
Btw, there is a vanilla feature to check if there are 3 Bees in a hive, it only works on the first one. It´s the "Total Beelocation" achievement, which you also got on the first
I'm pretty sure something shows up in the f3 menu when at least one bee is in a hive, but I'm not sure if it shows if there are more than one.
ilmango: "I don't want to overdo it"
also ilmango: "totally overdoes it already!"
haha cool farm, I'm wondering if you'll release some schematics for this?
yeah i think he should put a schematic of any farm on this series, even though they are kinda weird we might want to check em out- they cool!
Yo hise 32 modulos en vez de solo 2 .__.
Whenever Ilmango says Bee Nest, I cannot help but just hear something else.
?
XD that’s amazing
I’m disappointed in you Mr. MinerXen

The honeycomb block actually has a special property. It is the only block that is moveable with pistons and is uneffected by any tool in the game so it is possible to make a trap with it very easily.
Glass? Wool?
@@instantnoob wool is mined faster by shears
@@instantnoob Wool is faster to mine with shears. You are right with the glass tho. It also has almost the same proerties but it only takes 0.45 secs to mine it while honeycomb takes 0.9 secs. So you could say both are the only blocks that are moveable and dont require a specific tool but still honeycomb takes longer to mine.
Does it help anyhow, that it is not transparent?
it has a special note block instrument if i remember correctly... in fact let me check ... yes i was right but only in bedrock it plays "Flute" sound which is useful, if you want to build a clay or infested block filter, it's useless in java currently
This series is so great. I am so amazed with what you can make starting with just a dirt platform and a tree!
An Etho video followed by an Ilmango video?! We're being spoiled today!
I just wanted to say this honey farm is awesome! You continue to amaze me with your designs. I really expected just a basic farm. 11/10
Ilmango when he sees honey farms: In response to not getting the complexity I deserve, I’ve decided I will cause problems on purpose
Looks great! The ability to switch between honeycomb and honey with such ease, and not having to fill up a truckload of dispensers with glass bottles also looks really nice. If you can share either the schematic, a world download for the creative world you designed it in, or a tutorial video about how to build it that'd be great!
I accidentally watched one episode while being high... Let's just say the Nether Tree farm legit blew my mind!! I love this series!!
The best way to enjoy mango!
And ilmango as well lol
i love this show, i get lost when the square squirrel starts talking about red powder but im immersed in his magic language
Make sure you do it again and watch his 420k special where he builds dark oak farms to get to 420kph
Ilmango has just gone from strength to strength recently. Loving this series!!! To watch you create such amazing things and see the design and explanation process (although I understand hardly any) is amazing
"Honey, Ilmango uploaded another video"
Thanks for all the awesome content I've had a lot of stuff going on in my personal life lately and your videos have been a welcome distraction and escape. Really loving the series keep up the great work!
Love the process you go through! Thanks for sharing with us!
Casually builds something that would melt my brain 9 times over. “ I don’t want to overdo it”
This has been the best series so far !!
That is a super slick design! Really enjoyed this episode
I never knew that I needed in my life to hear ilmango say "release the bees"🤣
That was a fun build! I kept thinking how are you gonna add in that extra functionality and make it tileable and you just go alright, there we go. Here's this fancy new machine with extra features really well done, reasonably compact, and very clever.
Thank you for the video!
This bee the greatest episode yet! Also, you might not bee a builder, but your world looks great anyway! I can’t bee-lieve how good it is!
this series is getting real good again with the big farms
I cant get enough of this series. ♥♥
I really hope Mojang adds autocrafting in Vanilla. Could be a "Chiseled Crafting Table" in the same fashion as the chiseled bookshelfs.
Keep using this feature and promote it to others so Mojang gets their shit together.
The most important rule in art is the rule of thirds. I’d look it up for some pictures and a proper explanation but* it’s very intuitive. It applies to any architecture. Secondly try to be intentional with where you are drawing the eye. Beyond that just do anything and chalk imperfections up to being your unique style
Hey ilmango, I've noticed you are getting close to 1 mill Sub, I just want to say congrats! I can't wait to see what you do for a 1mill sub special !!
I have an idea for a honey setup you could theoretically use for bottles and shears. This wouldn’t require filled dispensers of bottles, rather a central storage. Using the comparator setup to unlock a hopper running into the dispenser for the shears on top, then run a hopper line over the top to disperse the shears or bottles through the system. The same circuit could unlock a hopper below the dispenser to suck the shears back out once they were dispensed once, at which point they would be recycled in the system. Might be a bit tricky to tile it (I think two block wide tiles), but could work to allow for both honey bottle collection and comb collection.
I actually tried to do the same dual farm, and I'm just blown away how you managed to do it so compact ! I usually find a way to design farms myself, but always end up building yours as they are so much more efficient.
i really liked the deeper explanation of the design process, with which blocks will do what and why update order matters and all that juicy stuff. have you ever thought about giving a minecraft technical design class? like episodes staring from the basics and introducing more and more concepts over time. maybe with some home assignment tasks for the viewers... i love technical minecraft, but i am too busy to learn all of this stuff on my own. and im pretty sure that many ppl would really appreciate this ^^
edit: what i mean is a bit like your redstone basics series, but more structured like a course. professor ilmango explains the world :D
Commence the captions getting very confused when Mango says "Bee Nest"
Ilmango:"I only need 87 stacks of redstone blocks, 400 hoppers...... That shouldnt be too bad."
Me:"Haha. Hopper minecart go brrrrrrr"
Thanks for the interesting video, ilmango.
Люблю твои видео, спасибо что делаешь то что тебе нравится)
I recently designed my honey farm, I think I haven’t seen a same design yet. I let a hopper mine cart carrying a stack of bottles, moving across all the hoppers feeding into the dispenser. In the end it activates all the dispensers twice, method is an observer detecting tripwire hook passes by the mine cart. Then the hopper mine cart drops down, collecting everything and loops back to the beginning, an item filter takes only honey bottles out, each grab send a signal pause, activate a dropper on the bottom, send a glass bottle onto the rails, and the hopper mine cart will pick it up on its next route. I tested it, seems pretty reliable . I guess it’s the most simple one yet as I know…
Ahhh the return of the 🅱️eenis
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS DUDE , LOVE THIS SERIES
I vote for a long tangent on a side quest to automate building materials (as opposed to technical materials.) I think if you do some side quests instead of speed run the “main story,” then we viewers selfishly get more episodes :D
Ijust love that i am watching 2 skyblock worlds that could not be more different, on one hand GeminiTay's happy vibes and building and on the other hand Ilmango strength redstone and "what if i just make it so i do not have lava just to make shit harder for myself"
this is great. I also love Ianx0four's amazingly simple dual farm, which is at least attainable for the likes of me (and also avoids the pain of stocking 9 slots full of glass bottles...)
I didn't know that you can use flowering azalea leaf blocks instead of flowers, nor did I ever think of restricting bees to a one block space. Both super useful tips to making a better bee farm. I always learn something new when watching the videos. Thanks!
this farm looks really nice, can't wait to have dirt next week you can start making little floating gardens if you want!
Mango looks at an elaborate honey farm with an off switch, the ability to switch between comb and bottles, an auto-crafter, and fully automatic storage, and says "I don't want to overdo it." :D :D
Ah the return of the "bee nest" comments
You can just dispense the honey bottle and it drops as an item and gets picked up by the hopper. Similarly, if you dispense an empty bottle while the hive isn't full then it also drops as an item and is picked up by the hopper. You can chain them together in a loop for a dead simple day 1 honey farm, throw it on the nether roof for no day night cycle and the rates are honestly pretty amazing.
my favorite Minecraft series rn by far
I didn’t click on this video expecting Grian’s building level 😂 You do you buddy.
This Design with the switch remeber me on Peacefull Challenge its looks really nice
Your intro is the best, don't ever change it!
You know I've been looking for a nice high performance honey farm so I'm kind of glad you have one in here so I can pull some inspiration. I play Pocket Edition so different Redstone which is annoying.
26:41 "I don't want to overdo it" after making the most complex and over engineered bee farm for a single player server
The bee farm: the simplest farm in minecraft
Ilmango: makes it incredibly complex because he felt like it
Return of the benis blocks.
🥰
Building the honey farm in the Overworld is actually optimal. It would produce items faster in the Nether, but the bees wouldn't be able to get any sleep, which would be very sad and heavily outweigh the increased rates.
😯 I've never seen a design like this 🤔 .. nice 👍🙂
The song playing during the build is called Auxjack - Cross Eyed if anyone is curious.
I'd love to see some decorations on your builds. It's a shame you didn't do it, because it would've been interesting to see how your world changes in time with new blocks appearing in your collection
I know it's childish but "bee nest" gets me every time, I just can't unhear "benis" ^^
Hey i love the series! Heads up though - the auto captions replace 'bees nest' with a word refering to male anatomy at the 5:07ish mark.
The honeycomb could be a semi sticky block, like it only sticks to itself and nothing else
When farming bee nests, I always have light near the saplings so that they can grow at night, and then I simply use the farm at night only, so that I don't have yo worry about bees exiting the nests immediately- I also make a large farm so I don't have to use bonemeal, it's actually pretty fast (assuming you have enough trees), of course it's only really necessary when you need more bees quick.
”I don’t wanna overdo it” -Ilmango 2023
I think I know another skyblock player who could lend you some bees
The redstone machines are far more beautiful than anything that could be built over them.
More i watch these episodes the more i know about minecraft :D
einer meiner Lieblings youtube minecraft serien
24:06 the honey farm is now a machinegun
Would love to see a video about the vanilla version of this farm at some point
This is the earliest I’ve ever been to an episode
Finally NEW EPISODE!!!
I think the bee farm's facade looked good, don't worry. And a limited block palette can suit masonry or brutalist architecture, but I totally understand if you prefer other styles.
What I would pay for a Scar ilmango team up series where ilmango does farms and scar builds.
Slaying the video, moisty mango
So cool, thanks boss
I built a super basic bee farm in the nether spawn chunks on my playthrough, and it's pretty productive already (as in, probably more honey than I will need for a long time). I am tempted to rework the output part of your farm so I can upgrade it, I bet the rates would be crazy. (If all else fails, I suppose I could build it vertically to avoid having to elevate items altogether, though that would look pretty strange.
Amazing
I'd love to see some more decorating. Is there a way a builder like myself could design something for you to use?
Scicraft's mods are so useful.
Looks like ilmango needs a storage unit system lol 😆
Huh, i like the idea of musical redstone systems, should be something fun to do every time you build with redstone.
Best series on yt
The bee tool tip was nice, but you only get the total beelocation achievement after breaking a nest or hive with 3 bees inside. So since you got the achievement you could tell already you had 3 bees in your possession
maybe honeycomb blocks could be like honey blocks with pistons but its a solid block, i think that would add some nice use
Yeah and I like that he make efficient farms
Hey Ilmango, which version of auto-crafting mod do you use?
I can't seem to find one that's 1.19.3 compatible, including the one you previously highlighted, however I thought your current server was 19.3 so I wondered what you were using?
Thanks!
I am finally playing survival Minecraft again, but I haven't encountered a single slime.
So I might have to take some inspiration from here and get honey first. I got Burch samplings and a poppy farm so that might be enough.
dub
I think it would be super cool for you to embrace the spirit of the mod and try to make your park with what you have. I'm sure you'd come up with something really interesting. Could be your one big build project for the series.
Not Honey but I spent an hour turning Gold Swords into Gold in Bedrock because Portal Ticking + Player Kill + a 35% Drop Rate for swords (Diamond Sword with Looting 2) gives that many swords in a fairly short amount of time all because I wanted to Barter with Piglins
"Aight imma watch Ilmango, it's been a while since I did"
>Finish the giant fungus episode
>Come back to channel page
>This video came out 40min ago
*Realizes dude has been on turbo boost ever since he came back from the holidays*
Now, excuse me, I have to watch the video and try to come up with a good joke
Yes I was saying the same stuff this was extra work for something that could be done easily but then again i thought if we had to see a simple farm we wouldn't be watching this video we believe in extreme
i really want to have the same motivation as you to make these redstone builds and then i'd decorate them.
however, it wouldn't be fun to look at your video every two seconds to copy everything block by block (which would take hours upon hours)
im really bad at redstone and technical minecraft too, so i can't make my own. and im good at about everything else, building is my favourite.
it really sucks i cant play this myself, but it's cool that you can, and make it entertaining for someone like me. loved the series since episode one came out.
Du machst guten Content mach weiter so.
I believe you can increase rates slightly by also lining the walls of the farm with flowering azalea
"I don't want to over-do it!" 🤣🤣
5:06 captions on so funny
Honeycomb block actually is special because it does not have an instrument for fast breaking. It is not like this is very useful, but it has some uses in PvP defence builds.
If I subscribe to Ilmango’s Patreon, do I get access to all of his schematics? Or are they available somewhere else, like discord?
Since you have automated tnt, you could use that to remove paths and structures, like the glass bee box.
