    I get confused with moisture in the flowers. Did you have to change out the paper within those 2 weeks of drying time?

    • @lindonw8808
      @lindonw8808 Před 2 lety +17

      I use regular paper so the moisture is absorbed through the pages. my problem is to preserve the color of the flower. maybe that's why she uses parchment paper I guess, I'll give it a try.

    One of my houseplants looks like it's about to bloom and I want to save the flowers because this species doesn't bloom often. Is it okay to leave the flowers on the stem to preserve the entire flower spike? it's not that thick of a stem but the leaves on it are very fleshy since it's a succulent so I'm wondering if there will be too much water.

    I have the similar frame in a hexagon. I noticed there is tiny opening and I want to completely seal my frame so no air gets in to ruin my red carnation. Any tips? Err gorilla glue the frames? I pressed my flowers for a week now, it's flattened but the petals still look "fresh". Maybe 2 more weeks. I also read some people spray their pressed flowers before framing it??

    • @mylillilu
      @mylillilu Před rokem +1

      Oh yeah. Maybe look up putting a thin layer of varnish. Probably the spray. Or lightly painting varnish on top. Makes the colors pop too. But Google it first. I've never experienced varnish on flowers. I just know it's a good way to preserve colors & drawings on artwork.

    does anyone know how to prevent this from happening?

    • @ericc2198
      @ericc2198 Před 2 lety +3

      Hey! What do you press your flowers on? If you press them in a book then maybe you just didn’t have enough weight. If it was a thin book then possibly there weren’t enough pages to absorb all the moisture!

    • @29928
      @29928 Před 2 lety +3

      @@ericc2198 i did press them in a book :)
      put a basket of books on top of it, pretty heavy if i say so myself
      and they were around the middle of the book, i'd say it was around 200 pages and a decently sized book, there was moisture on many pages after the flowers when i opened it :D
