So I have been absorbed by music my entire life for as long as I can remember. There have been very few times when I'm left speechless. Donny and Lalah Hathaway, Whitney Houston, Anita Baker, Luther Vandross, etc......
However, with this young lady, she now comes to my mind like those greats I aforementioned. Tori's thoughtful writing, musicianship, vocal abilities, and transparency are second to none in this generation. This gem of an artist is becoming a legend right before our eyes, and I'm all here for it!!! Sing on little songbird.

I love you too my fellow Hmong fan. I can really relate to "Kid i use to know." It hits hard knowing the fact that time can't be rewinded. I can't get back what I lost after founding out i was adopted. My sense of self.. is lost. All that's left is a void of chaos.
Lance hi friend. Adoption in the Hmong community is sort looked down upon isn’t it? I am curious...were you adopted by another Hmong fam or a non-Hmong fam?
@@lachouapor It really is frowned upon in a way but also it's a topic not really talked about openly which i believe results in a lack of education on how the best way to proceed with an adoption. I was adopted by another Hmong family, my adopted father is my biological father's younger brother. I grew up as an only child; but just found out i was number 9 out of 11 siblings.
Growing up people in my family always treated me differently. Whether small or big i've always knew something was wrong and i couldn't really figure out what exactly it was. It was just a deep sense of not fitting in with my family. I've always wanted to know the answers the why i felt this way. Knowing I was adopted would have helped me face these feelings but now.. i just dont how to get any closure to fill that void.
To learn about my true identity when i'm nearing my mid twenties has torn me down to my core. Everything i thought i knew about myself.. was a lie. My entire childhood, teenage and young adult life was me living a fake identity. All that time is something i can never get back. I just feel; lost, disconnected and so angry at everyone involved who lied to me and kept my stolen identity a secret. This is not loving and protecting an adopted child by hiding who they are. This is beyond that when you lie to them for decades. It's trauma and manipulation. By lying to an adopted person; you're controlling how they feel and telling them who they can and cant love, who they can or cant know. I'm a human being.. not a robot.

I just love Tori Kelly. She's definitely the best vocalist out there. Those low notes were really clean and I loved her singing in her lower range❤ I just love her songs. Lots of story and emotion and meaning behind every song she writes and sings❤

I loved the way Tori conveyed each song to her childhood and what she went through in her in life and in her family!! I can relate to Your Words cause I lost my uncle in March of this year and I cry because I miss him so much but I cherish the memories and times I had with him here on earth.
