- Farming is hard enough on a normal day... but add on this flu bug, and it makes Sandi a bit grumpy and slower than she'd like.
We were able to knock off a few more jobs even working at half mast.
We lice treated two groups ewes, treated my ram (for the last time, hopefully!) and noticed my little lamb had gone backwards again.

My grams is 94 with moderate dementia. She grew up on a sheep farm. Your videos help to open her up about her memories of when she was a child. I've heard these stories over & over. GRAMS SMILES & GOES TO HER HAPPY PLACE... It takes her anxiety away for a bit... Sandi, YOU CAN'T IMAGINE HOW MUCH THAT MEANS TO ME ❤❤❤ FEEL BETTER SOON
Reminiscence is actually validated as therapy! Wonderful that your grams finds joy in Sandi's vlogs. Sending blessings on you both 💕💕
Truth and prayers! ❤️🙏🏻
What a blessing for your family.
Priceless story of your grandmother‼️
Sending good energy for all of you!!!
Sandi does more work on her “sick day” than I do in a week. Feel better❤
You are beautiful and we all love and appreciate you ❤
💯% ❤❤❤
Agree❤❤❤❤❤❤
I could have watched you for hours, the sheep ,at work, shopping , just every thing a totally different way of life than us and I love it but it's so hard to do I love this channel tfs.❤❤
@@paulineweir4804me too I love Sandy's vlogs.🙏💖🙋♀️
Sandi has a 😃 that lights up room!
Cinni is hilarious. The first time she’s trying so hard to get out and the lambs keep getting in the way. I can hear her: “Oh no! I’ve been caught again. Get out of the way! Hurry. I’ve got to get outta here before Sandi has to come in here and help me. Quick!”
Every time Cinnamon is in the creep area I just die laughing. Then I hear your voice telling her how to get out again. Pure joy!
After carefully watching for many years, I have come to the conclusion that Cinnamon is actually a cat. Ooh she looks like a sheep, but in there is the soul of a cat.
🤣🤣😂😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣😂😂😂😂🤣!!
😂😂
I'm thinking that those in the U.K. would call Cinnamon "Cheeky"!!!
So like a fox. Cat software in sheep hardware.
Cinnamon makes me laugh, look forward seeing her antics
She's practicing the sheep version of Limbo!
Just without the music! 😂😂😂
Dearest Sandi, You and your family had a pretty busy/traumatic year. I am not the least bit surprised no one took the time to clean the one area of the house that you spend very little time in. It just doesn't matter. I'm constantly amazed at how much you get done, even on your "sick" days. Much love and respect to you and your fam.
So glad you’re feeling better. I love how Willow still likes to be by your side and Cinnamon definitely enjoys giving you the run around.
That's very thoughtful of you to not infect Carissa! You are an inspiration !!
That’s the thing about farming, you don’t get to call in sick. Sending you my sympathies and best wishes for a quick recovery.
I've watched Sandi for about 4 years. Since shortly after she started her channel anyways. And I have to give her MAJOR props to how much the quality of her videos have changed and increased. While my favorite part of this channel, and what made me fall in love with it, other than Sandi's beautiful smile and soul, were the sheep I'm REALLY loving seeing the human side of her life. When I started watching it was only the sheep and then we slowly got more of the field work added in. Fast forward to now we have drone footage, unboxings, family stuff with Jess health journey and Jack's house stuff. It almost feels like a full circle journey and I'm SO here for it! I actually feel privileged to have watched this channel for so long to witness this journey...
I totally agree!
Ditto
Cinnamon sneakin’ into the lambs creep area is one of my favourite things !
Farmers life never stops when your sick, can't call in for a PTO day. Us city folks have it so easy!
Well wishes to you Sandi
😊
I dont know what you do but those of us who work hourly still have to go to work while sick, I only get 2 personal days(one the first half of the year and one the second half), no sick days and, only 7 points to take off without pay before I lose my job, I donno about you but I get sick/have doctors appointments/have other things I have to do so have to call off more than 9 days a year.... So more often than not even if im sick for a week I only take off a day or two at most. While Im not discounting how hard farming is, and yes you cannot not do it but hourly work also have its down sides and I wouldn't call myself lucky to have to work 8 and a half hours while sick because I do not have the points to call off and can't afford to lose my job.
@@wolftaskeyou are where you are in life because of the choices YOU made.
I’ve never had a PTO day lol
Cushy jobs maybe but the rest of the world goes to work sick
I’ve gone to work throwing up n continued
Only when I’m high fever will I not push myself as I’ll get better quicker with rest
Same for moms, I never had help when sick or pregnant (I throw up for mos when pg) and I hsled my 5.
City or country doesn’t matter. Ppl work sick.
@@jrowlove7328 you don't know that.
Whenever I’m home for a week or so I can’t stand my mess so I go through my clothing or my storage and whatever I haven’t worn in a year (and doesn’t fit) or I no longer use, I donate to my local donation bins.
Never fails that when the farmer is sick then a few critters get sick. Life on a farm is 24/7. Geel better soon, all of you!
Cinnamon is so funny! She may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but she makes up for it by being a comedian!
I'm so glad you are feeling better. Neither time, tide, or flu will wait for a farmer!
BTW, that plum-colour really suits you! ❤❤❤❤
Think it's hilarious that Cinnamon is in with the little ones everyday 😂 ❤️🥰❤️
My husband gets a kick at me watching you! His father was a sheep herder in New Mexico and Colorado. He didn’t know him very well…they lost him when he was 10. He looked over and asked me what I was watching…..he cried….thanks ❤ he must have needed it cause the last time he cried was at our wedding ❤️. PS. Please don’t tell him I told you 😮
Yes, I know how it is, Sandi. I call in because I'm too sick to go to work to sit at a desk for 8 hours, yet go out to the barns and do the animals, lifting bales, buckets, and feed bags for one and a half hours, but then back to bed. The animals must be done no matter what. Good for you to be so concerned about other people catching your sickness.
🤠 Howdy from Tennessee.. Hope your feeling better soon. Running a farm, n not feeling good. One of the hardest times.. Get well soon.. Thank you for still honoring us with a video
I'm in Tennessee too😊
Sandy-with flu=cleaning her entire basement. Me-with a cold=panicking over making out a will...You ROCK Farmer Sandy! ❤
Cinnamon doing her version of the limbo!!🤣😂That creep feed must be really special!💕💕
Omg don’t be embarrassed! Farming is a busy business caring for animals. You are amazing. You’re giving me the inspiration to clean out mud room 🥴
Thanks for the video despite feeling sick!! Get Well Soon 💐
It’s hard to see you sick Sandi, you’re always so bubbly and make others feel better. Sending love and prayers for a speedy recovery sweet girl 🥰
So much admiration for you and all farmers who can't call in sick. I grew up on a small dairy farm, so I know how it goes. Thank you for all you do.
Never forget Parkinson's Law, things expand to fill the space available.
I need a reverse Parkinson's Law as I move to progressively smaller spaces!
Farming in any way you don't really get sick days 😢 you my dear are a very hard working committed Shephardress ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You love and support you Sandi
While you were saying you were feeling rough at the beginning of the video and I thought to myself..."I should look so good when sick." Your skin is glowing, your eyes were sparkling, quite the beautiful woman. Also, while you were dealing with the down lamb, it was wonderful to see the rest of the heard get their "nosey" on. Love it. Stay warm!
Sandi! You make my day whenever you post. ❤
You got quite a bit done. You cleaned and sorted the basement, post office trip (great boots, I'm going to check those out), met up with your sister, did the boys race run, trimmed feet, and tended the wee lamb. I love the overhead shot of the feet trimming. Willow is so sweet and then there is Cinnamon. Glad that you are feeling better. Take care of yourself. 🥰💜
I can't imagine having to work when you are sick. I have been down for a week now. My head doesn't feel like it's attached to my body. I don't feel like I am progressing. Hope you have a speedy recovery, its depressing!!!
I’m so glad(most) of our infections can’t get passed to our animals 🤎🤎🤎
Really enjoyed the drone shots of the hoof trimming, it makes me smile to see your lambs and I can feel the warm energy that you show the sheep when you interact with them!
i hope you feel better soon!! 💙🐑💙
Sandi gets more done in a week with the flu than I do in a year perfectly healthy 😂
😅😂 I have learned the hard way that Bins are like old wire coat hangers open the closet...Hundreds of hangers, need to actually hang a coat... Nope no hangers, buy more. Same with bins/totes ... Lots of bins, lots of space... Need to organize or store some things ... No bins, no space, need to buy more. 😊Weird alien life forms.
We farmers never quit illness we just work thru it Get well soon. Your sheep are so cute some more so than others ❤❤
OK, now I'm thinking about cleaning the cellar 😆 That hoof trimmer should be called the " sheep rotisserie 😅
the horror Sandi that the basement is not always tidy - my internal access garage is alway perfect - I may or may not have taken a ute load of boxes out of it last week as they seem to go in there and multiply - brave lady for showing the not so perfect parts part of life
Just goes to show how strong you are when you can push ahead even with the flu.
Thank you for including the basement mudroom clearout. Some things just aren't a high priority until once per year, they are. Well done😉👍
Willow is sooo precious! She has to stop by & give you nuzzles/snuggles.
So much love she has for her Shepherdess.❤😊❤❤
Cinnamon has cracked the code to being the happiest sheep 😂😂
Watching you work so hard, and never complain, makes me get up and get moving. Thank you Sandi ❤❤
Loved the overhead view of the hoof trimming ❤ Your editing and music choices are always on point 😊
Hi Sandi maybe a good dose of Double UD 40 on your hoof trimming cage will really loosen it up lm sure it will.Looks very stiff.Oh l do hope your feeling better, don't like to see you unwell ❤
The track on the "sheep spinner" has needed lubrication for AGES! I worry every time Sandi wrestles with it.
Hi Sandi, there is nothing worst than feeling under the weather and knowing there is no one to help with your chores. You are a lucky duck getting new Redback boots that are made here in Australia. I have a brown pair the same without the steal toes, which makes them so much lighter and more comfortable to wear. I see your work life balance is back on an even keal and the sheep barn is running so smoothly lately. Take care, your friend Chris from Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺.
My whole family got extrem bad case of flu in 1 day. Ur So strong. We all lay in bed and there are u . Working. Ur a absolut amasing Person ❤
😂 Cinnamon is consistent. And persistent. Good to hear your feeling better. Can't wait for updates on that ewe who seemed a bit off. Always good to see so many pretty floofs
Sandi, hope you have recovered rom the flu virus. You sure worked right through your sickness. You are a trooper!❤
Being sick is the worst going to feed and having to vomit ugh. Stay well girl u got this!!!
The drone shots are great, really add to the visuals. Thank you for the video 😊
I'm so sorry you got this stupid flu. I am currently battling pneumonia myself. Lots of Zicam, orange juice, and chicken noodles soup!! Prayers for a speedy recovery! ❤
I hope you start to feel better soon hope you have a speedy recovery
Pneumonia here too.😒
Feel better soon Sandy 🙏❤️🙏
My skin always hurts when I have a fever too, and it’s not fun. I cannot believe (well, yes I can) how hard you work when you are sick. Congratulations on the clean basement. I’m so happy you got some rest and some new boots! 💖🐑🕯️🥾
Love changes of angles with the drone. Shows off your beautiful barn and your work wonderfully.
Hope you feel better asap Sandi ❤
When I had my farm, my barns were spotless. My house, not soo much. Lol
Sandi...I hear you about the Flu, this week was hit with it also....I think this is going to be a two week flu ......lots of chicken noodle soup and rest when you can...my heart is going out to you 🤒🥣🐔🍜
Hi dear Sandi. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers 🙏🏻. Feel better soon my dear. Love you!❤
Love❤ your vlogs!! You are a wonderful person and I can tell you REALLY care about the health and welfare of the sheep
I love seeing the lambs getting the zoomies.
Take care of yourself Sandi! We love you!
DayQuil helps during the day without making me sleepy . It may work for you too. Amazon has powdered Pedialyte to help stay hydrated. It worked for me when I had COVID. I hope you feel better soon . You are an amazing, awesome woman.
Right there with you when it comes to house cleaning😝
I can't tell you how much I admire your strength.
Idea! Sandi could wear a stainless steel mesh glove on her left hand to protect against slashes with those very dirty trimmer blades. Scary! 💕💕
Thank you Sandi ❤
Hint of the day. While it is a great way to see your sister, she should not be tethered to your location and we find it best to have options. Especially if she lives 2 hours away. Sickness, weather.. lots of reasons to have a plan B. We do all bookkeeping remotely. We use a Scansnap scanner at every client location, configure it where everything scanned automatically goes to a cloud folder or we also use Hubdoc to triage and sort docs. They open the mail, scribble notes if needed and drop it in the scanner. We get copies of everything. We even get notes “Hey Sara!” Everything ends up scanned and stored for easy access. We can do everything remotely. Being in America, printing checks is an issue. We either use a bill paying system or set it up where the client can pop in and print checks at their location, sign, stuff and mail. Happy to share ideas. Love your page!
That is one of those "PRICELESS" services... I bet your clients LOVE YOU!!!
So instead of checks, pay to a debit card?
@@YeshuaKingMessiah A debit card has no recourse, not like a credit card where you can dispute a charge. Not all vendors take cards. But more and more will take ACH.
@Sandi Brock Hi Sandi! I hope you are completely healed and feeling back to normal!! At 22:42 in the video, just over your shoulder there is a sheep with the dark face that was visibly breathing very heavy and I thought I'd bring it to your attention cuz she may need help. (Or you might know about it already). I hope she's alright.
I LOVE your channel and click on a video as soon as I see it come up cuz I love your sheep and dogs and family too. 💜❤❌⭕
Oooo. Yeah, she does appear to be breathing rough. 😢
@@dyanrupan8037 I hope Sandi sees my comment!
I am so happy you are both feeling better. Thank you for sharing your life as a sheep farmer. I love watching all your videos.
We have / had three dogs and it’s very hard to do any traveling with three of them. We HAD to put Little Dog down the first part of February, and while I miss her VERY much it’s going to make trips down to Virginia to visit my daughter much easier. Little Dog will be forever in my heart but not having to change her diapers and giving her food she could actually eat ( she didn’t have any teeth left ) makes my life just a bit easier. She will have a special place in my garden this spring ❤️❄️🫠💚🙃
Feel better and stay well. Family and I are fighting it too.
I Love You So take care of yourself Sandi, stop trying to burn the secret middle part of the candle!😂🧡💜🧡
So sorry you're sick. Absolutely sorry you have to work through it! You are the Queen!
No sick time in farming. I agree with you, I miss Willow's bangs, I know it's wool, it will grow back. I love the overhead shots of hoof trimming, a new perspective.❤❤
On the positive side.......at least you got sick before your trip!
Watching you brings back memories of my grandmother. You remember the kids story of Mary had a Little Lamb ? I swear to you it’s the truth. lol. They lived I. The Sandhills of northern Nebraska , grandpa had his pigs grandma got to have her sheep. In scanning of their photo albums. I came across a picture of Grand Ma Mary holding one of her baby lambs circa 1945 or 1948. I will have find it and share. You are a wonderful lady and wonderful family best of wish’s for you and the sheep ❤
So glad you’re feeling better! I hate being sick. Your boot room looks really good now. You’re very handy with the power tools!😁. Hope your upcoming busy week isn’t too chaotic. Good luck!
LOL! I used to watch paint dry!! I used to paint parking lot lines, cross walk lines and stop bar lines plus the STOP and handicap parking. On a nice hot day, the paint would be dry pretty fast!
Sitting here watching your video in urgent care with my 7-year-old waiting to be discharged. He has a double ear infection, strep throat and broncitius. Hope you feel better soon. Being sick in the worst
🙏prayers for your son's speedy recovery. Sandi IS therapeutic, even when she's sick herself💕💕
Prayers for your little one to feel better and for you to not catch anything
@@Woodlily617Thank you. I am hoping that I don't catch anything either. The poor guy is on mid-winter break from school. Hope he gets feeling better soon and can enjoy some of his vacation
Hope recovery is quick and no one else in the family gets sick. The weather is crazy, first horribly cold then very warm.
Prayers for your son for a full and speedy recovery ❤🙏
Mark made that gorgeous coat rack for your wee hideaway in the woods. Maybe he'll be inspired by your clean-up to do something for the basement?? 💕💕
Sandi, I'm so happy you are feeling better. You can tell your ewes are getting closer to spring lambing. They are getting their chunky baby bellies.
Sorry your struggling with whatever your dealing with. Praying you start to feel better very soon. 🙏💞
Hoping you are feeling better already💕Lot’s of fluids Sandi💕
Feel better soon. The flu is going around everywhere. I am trying to stay off the pathway of sick and enjoying your videos. Farmers don't get sick days off, much like parents.
Here I am to support you in your time of need. Dear Sandi…the flu and you don’t stop. Thqqqqqqqqqqqq 😊😊
Get well soon sandi xx
Love the drone/aerial barn photography❤ Thank you for your post.
Be careful about the wiring in the basement because it is hanging down low enough to rest on the open door. Would not be a bad idea to use insolation instillation wires to keep them up in the floor boards.
I feel like Cinnamon is testing you. She is definitely a future Golden Girl getting away with that like she is. 😂
Get well soon. Feel bad for you . I hate colds. ❤
Get Well Sandi....
There are so many different viruses going around!!! No fun!!
Love Your new Boots!!!
You work so hard, take it easy!! Saying a prayer 🙏
You are very pale!! I hope you feel better soon!!
Thanks for the video. Must have been a pia with the flu. You rock!
Take care of yourself, there is only one you. Love your show and what your gig means to you. Keep up the good work and entertain us every chance you get.
LOL, Cinnamon is an adorable, hot mess. And Willow is just ADORABLE 💕🐑💕🐑💕
I find it amazing that Piper, a hunting breed dog. Has learned sheep herding behaviors.
You had me at the Taylor title. 😂
You need a clothes rod mounted on that wall with hangers then boots can set below or a free standing closet rack. We added one to our work room in the barn so all workers had a place to put gear, really tidied things up. Love watching your daily routine brings a smile and a few minutes to relax.
