A thief, a foster and a LAMB PRETZEL?? ...winter lambing just got interesting. | Vlog 739

- Winter lambing is off and running now with a much busier day today! We had a little of everything...
We have our fair share of stealer mamas again, but I was able to work around them.
Once stealer mama started labouring however... she stopped. And when I investigated, I found what I refer to as a 'lamb pretzel' meaning the front end of one lamb, and the back end of another trying to get out at the same time!!
We took advantage of a mama having a single, as her neighbour had triplets... so I grabbed a lamb and was able to successfully FOSTER her!!

Sandi has effects on me I never expected. I am an emergency vet and was helping a chihuahua deliver a stuck puppy. When it came out alive, my techs were suprised to hear me say "hello, welcome" to the puppy. It just seemed the thing to say. But we all know that it comes from Sandi imprinting on me how she welcomes her lambs into the world. I've been watching regularly for a while now, since the roof disaster.
Sandy is the best. I've been watching since subscriber #100k or around abouts, then?
If following Sandi gets you in a good mood to welcome puppies, then that is alright. ❤️🐕🐑♥️
LOVE how LOVING YOU ARE to all furry and non furry family, it’s So Inspiring & Enjoyable watching your channel, a real antidote for what is happening in the world and such a learning experience for a real city girl like myself…THANK YOU!!! ❤from Montreal
@@kiahpeace9090yes, I remember 100K. Just look at her numbers now! Well deserved.
I love the "are you alive? You are alive" like from Frankenstein ❤
Anyone else love when she cuddles the babies after they born and show us up close. It's like that new born baby smell. Just cannot get enough❤
I agree Terri!! Oh my goodness! Just love it!!!😍🥰
new born baby smell! OMG! I never got enough of it with my 5 kids. Now I rely on my new born grandkids 😊😊😍
It's like a drug...mum of 4😍💗
Did anyone notice all the spectator mamas to be, watching Sandy help deliver the baby?❤️🐑
Yes, so cute!
I had to laugh -- they were a riot!
Nosy neighbors 😂
I did too. It makes me chuckle
All the ewes want the two babies! 😂
I really admire the respect you and Carissa show each other as colleagues. You give her days off without needed explanations, you trust her and know she’s a hard worker. That’s such an amazing bond to have.
Totally agree- treating ppl with respect usually means they respect you back. I had a job where I was on call and had to go in at 2:30am and didn’t leave until 4:30am - our work day started at 7am, and when I arrived at 7:20 my clock watcher of a boss made a snide comment, I said i got called out and he reply was something like ‘yeah right’ I was p*ssed. So the next time I was on call and had to go in at 1:30am I called my boss ( this is when people still had landlines) to let him know I had been called and and might be a bit late in that day. His phone rang quite a few times before his wife answered and then she had to wake him up to take the call 🤣😂😄 that stopped the snide comments
💕 I just wanted to ThAnK yOu for *ALL* you do, going above and beyond while sharing with us. You sure as heck put a smile on my face and make my chemo days, like today, a little more tolerable. I cannot express the amount of thanks, positive vibes, and much love being sent your way!! Don’t know if you’ll ever see this but wanted to share! 💕
Sending you good vibes from Washington, USA as you deal with chemo. Been there and know the journey. Blessings on you today.
I wish you good health and good days! I hope you have a fast recovery and feel better as soon as possible 🫶
I watched when I was having chemo too! Luckily mine is done now… good luck with yours… I am a 14 year survivor…
All the best . Sending hugs from Christchurch New Zealand 🇳🇿.
Sending you well wishes , blessings and prayers from Maine ❤
Sandi, you are such a hard worker. I am not surprised you had a headache. Delivering lambs, doing chores, filming, editing. and a thousand other things you do just being you. You are an amazing person. You deserve all the love from a million followers, in addition to your family and friends. We love you!!!
Adopted a cat a little over a month ago…he’s never shown interest in your videos until this lambing started. He sits and watches though your entire video :) glad I have someone to watch these with now, I’ve been watching for a little under 5 years now. Love to follow your journey ♥️

My cat liked Nurse Jackie & The Crown.
Law & Order SVU got the butt
@@stephaniehowe0973Maybe your cat didn't like the "du duh" music of Law & Order. 😀🐱❤
My kitty, Ida Mae, dearly loved watching the lambing videos with me. She would come running from the other end of the house when she heard a lamb. Sadly, she passed just after vlogmas 2021. I miss her so much when I watch now.

Love the way your voice changes when addressing your laboring ewes and newborn lambs. Sounds like pure love to me! ❤️🐑
The clips at the end of day when babies are snuggled in and all is quiet and the tree is twinkling…it makes my heart warm and cozy.
Seriously and sincerely, thank you for the joy you bring your viewers. When you are tired, frustrated, or just ready to give it all up, remember you are important to us and oh so appreciated. Bless you and your family and Carissa and of course the animals too! 🐑 🐶
There is nothing more peaceful than contented lambs and happy moms!
The gifts from Pachamama were gorgeous and show how much of an impact you really do have, even if you don't think you do!
❤❤❤❤
Yes !! That sweater is absolutely beautiful!!
That was CLEVER! I have never seen you find the true mom like that! Secure the babies, bring all the sheep in for a walk-around. The true mom did not leave them when you began herding them all back out. ❤
I thought the same thing Grandma Lori! I'm fairly new to the channel (second lambing) so I thought it was something she did all the time! That was just awesome to watch, how the true mom stayed with her babies!! 💛💛
@@hummingbirdinSoCaltrust me, go back and watch all the videos from the beginning, you won’t regret it.
It's not always that easy, especially with 1st time Moms. There have been times I have had to corner several with the actual Mom in the crowd and slowly eliminate until the Mom was the only one left. That is why Sandi was holding a gate. Just in case a few stayed behind.
Congratulations to Lucy for starting to get her waist back!!! I know the struggle. Some of these lambs have a deer/fawn like look to their adorable faces!
So difficult. Im working on my corgi!
We have goats and the deer herd here on our land usually lamb in the goat field, not far from their barn. Our soon to be 15 year old nannie goat stays with and lays with the fawns when the does go in search of food and water. My husband always makes sure the does have plenty to eat, but they still refuse to drink from the goat’s water. So they travel about 15 minutes away to the nearby river to drink. It’s so cute to watch Mimi with the fawns. ❤
I have to say...I've never looked forward to an advent calendar more than this one, Sandy!! It's just so cute and unique!! So much fun to watch you create each little piece!! I just LOVE IT!!!! ❤😊❤
The red barn is too cute❤.
They are so adorable! I'd hang them on a miniature tree! Understand they are a lot of work to produce but hope they will be available next year! I've never done an advent calendar before, this would be a wonderful one for my 1st!!!
I would do one too!! I was not able to get one from this sale this year. I love Sandi and her sheep. ❤️
What a generous company to send you all their beautiful hats, sweaters and products!
Weren't they awesome? I would love to have any one of those products....
@@bobbydazzler6990they are smart cookies for sure! All best to them and I hope they notice a bump in sales due to 'the Sandi Effect’! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wow! So amazing!! Thank you for sharing your daily life with us! I am a critical care nurse in California and know NOTHING about farm life or sheep! I have to admit I am absolutely amazed by everything that you do and everything that is involved in daily life on a farm! Happy Holidays to you all! ❤
I've been an RN for 30 years now and actually worked in L&D at one point. Sandi is the best coach I've ever seen!

@@mandalyn8006 that is the absolute truth!! 🤩❤
The ear warmers would be perfect for Jess while her hair is growing back to keep her ears warm this winter.❤
I love the lambing season! And when my dog hears the sheep, she comes running into watch with me😂😂
My Jessie-cat sits and watches with me. It is funny how she stares so hard at my phone.
All 4 of my dogs jump on the couch with me at the first sound of a sheep or lamb. Maybe it's something instinctive with dogs and cats? It's strange that it seems so many of our pets like to watch also.
The sheer LOUDNESS of those tiny newborns' bleats always startles me! We're hard-wired to respond to infants' crying, human or lamb!! 💕💕
These videos are single-handedly going to get me through finals week
Best of luck on all your finals - and future studies as well!🐑❤️
Fingers crossed that you ace those finals!!
Good luck
Good luck! You can do it 😊
There’s nothing more precious than the birthing of your sheep. I grew up on a farm and remember going out to count the cows and if one was missing, off we went to find her in the pasture ❤ It was a wonderful life, now that I’m older I appreciate that time ❤
I knitted some dog sweaters for a friend's store which never opened because of Covid. So yesterday, Monday, 12/4, I decided to send you the ones I thought would fit your lamb sweeties. I think there are 4 of them. I hope they fit.
What a thoughtful donation to the new babies!
I absolutely love how you speak to all of the ewes giving birth & you never get frustrated with them or maybe you do sometimes but we never see it , I’m so glad the golden girls are doing well, I really like this time of year when we have lots of babies, thank you Sandi 😊❤❤
I love it so much when they accept a foster baby! It warms my heart ❤🐑
When the ‘village’ arrives to help the mother, they are so funny. I can almost hear the ‘banter’ of the ‘village gals’ to the birthing mother. The ‘stealing’ is fun to watch.
I think they are all taking notes for their own deliveries🤣🤣🤣🐑❤️
‘Ya know, Rachel, Molly here spent a bunch of time with Billy so we gotta see if she’s having a Billy Jr’
I sometimes image thought bubbles above their heads.
Ahhh Sandi...I have been waiting for Riza's box from Pachamama to get to you. She told me she was grateful for the plug and it has helped her small family business so much. She was so generous, and yes, her products are just exquisite and such beautiful quality! I'm not affiliated with them, just a fan of her products. She sent me a little thank you too, totally unnecessary, but so appreciated! By the way, Riza has subscribed to your channel and is following you and loves you and your family and the sheep as much as the rest of us! She is in for such a treat, just in time for lambing! Hooray!
Can you give the info to I think Riza or is Pachamama where I can go and buy some of her stuff.😊😊
@@donnakeeton4967 Sandi put it in the description for the video. (CZcams can be stupid about people posting links, thanks to spammers.)
That is so cool! The things Pashamama makes are so beautiful, I am sad that I live in a hot climate and can only wear them a few times a year! Still, I adore them!
Sandi, you are the best sheep midwife in Canada! Maybe a tiny advent tree for all that you’ve made out of the calendar. We love you and your mama’s!
Sandi, I hope you realize how unique and special you are. I read thru the previous comments, and it seems we all feel the same way. You actually love your sheep and especially their lambs. "Hello, welcome" is going to be my new greeting, lol. Lots of love from Pearl River Louisiana. 🐑😊
Hi Sandi,
I've been a very very silent watcher over the past and Just wanted to say thank you so much for doing videos for us.
I'm watching the Video as I currently am travelin' across the country, I very much enjoy watching your videos of the sheeps and other farming stuff.
I have been so curious for YEARS how sheep farming works and I am so thankful to have some Insights into it!
Your Vids helped me thought very hard times that I have to say a few words to that.
From the bottom of my heart:
Thank you. Keep doing what you do.
I really appreciate you, Mark, Jessica and all the others - even in the darkest times.
🐑🐑🐑🐑 Keep sheepin' on

I just smile so big when you are so genuinely excited to see a new lamb born. I can’t help but be so excited with you. 🥰
That first lambing that you assisted with is the cleanest lambing I have ever seen.
My favorite times of the year is watching Sandi during lambing season, the way the new moms and lambs bond and just watching and hearing Sandi welcome all the new little lambs is so sweet.❤
‘One minute, I’m enjoying life as a single ewe in my tinder group. The next, a lamb is popping out behind me!’
Isn't the Advent Calendar just pure genius? Beautiful merch idea. Appeals to so many dufferent audiences. Sandi, did you plan each little dauly craft yourself? I love the fact that you seem so pleasantly surprised at what you find in each window each day. I' a crafter myself and can't wait to see what each "day" creates. Brilliant. Do this again next year, please! Still watching from Texas.
I'm sad I didn't get to have one. Already sold out when I went to order one.
I believe the ladies at Mariposa designed the advent crafts and the matching videos.
Ahhh...the miracle of lambing! It's even more special at Christmas time. Those little faces are so adorable! Thanks Sandi for sharing this with us. 🐑🐑🐑
I absolutely love watching Sandy. I grew up on a well run dairy farm. Watching someone as festedious as my father was is relaxing, enjoyable and memory inspiring. Watching many farmers give me anxiety. I just relax and enjoy these videos without the work. Being disabled in my old age makes it impossible for me to carry on ..i wish my father were here to watch because i know he would be impressed and just maybe a little sorry he didnt back me when i started a goat farm. Sandy is a great sheep farmer as well as a great story teller/vlogger.
I never tire of watching these little babies come into the world -
Sandi, I can't thank you enough for sharing this special time with us. Once upon a time I was an animal farm girl and I miss it so much, all aspects of it (except maybe hay rash at haying time.) I just love being a little part of your farm and family life when I watch each episode. Disabilities, age creeping up and the passing of my husband and our fur kids, are most of the void but you and what you share are a huge part of what fills it. You all are beautiful, not just the critters but the peeps as well. Marriest of Christmases and health (praises for Jess's) and prosperity in the new year. 🎄 🎉
Well said! I can’t get enough of her videos because as a youngster, I too lived on a farm in Illinois and I have many special happy memories from that time. Watching Sandi’s videos brings back great memories that make my heart sing, which then brings huge smiles to my face
@@maryfrancessullivan1170 I hear ya. I think there's a lot of us following Sandi because she's just that kind of person. She throws open the door to us and just makes us feel welcome. I so very much want to cuddle her sheep. I couldn't get close to mine as a kid. You could be a distant cousin, my maternal great grandma was a Sullivan!
Happy St. Patrick's to us! God bless
I love that you're starting to see the effect you can have on fellow small businesses! I purchased a Christmas present or two from Pachamama, and I doubt I was the only one! I can't wait until I visit a website and they have a note 'Due to Sandi Brock saying we're awesome, we're madly trying to keep up on the new orders!'
I love how the little tail is just going as the lambs drink their mamas milk. So adorable. What a great way to spend a day. Your a wise women Sandi, although I am sure there are days when…..
Love the new intro with Carissa and the puppy...so good!!!
Ii just love how you put your heart and soul into all you do. I really love that you don't treat your animals like a fa tory farm where nothing matters but the profits. Thank you for making my day.
Little peanut is so cute!!!
As always, just AMAZING! Sandi, you are a hero, the lil lambs are cute as a button. But YOU MA'AM are simply a force bigger than you know. Can't say enough, how YOU impact so many lives thru your compassion, and positive energy with every 4 legged and 2 legged being you come into contact with. Simply makes my entire day when I get to see you. Thank you again, all of you, for letting us into your world. ❤❤
Love your new sheep wardrobe! What beautiful patterns and workmanship. Peanut has stolen my heart, she is so stinking cute.
There you go Sandi, the busiest day for now, and all by yourself. The lambs are more aggressive towards Piper, protecting their babies.
Love from Mike. ❤
And to all a good night!🐑🎄. Such a special video today. Thank you so much for always taking us along with lambing. The love and enthusiasm is there for us too! The bundle of wool goodies is amazing. Beautiful treat for sure!
Piper needs to listen when you tell her OUT. You may just have to leave her behind during lambing so they aren't stressed. She loves to herd and she is so cute, but parents must.... Your lambing is so fun to watch. I love how you love them all and personally,, I think you helping them is good. There's nothing more tragic than a baby completing the whole gestation and then dying during birth. Love the gifts from Pachamama
So great that the one Momma adooted the third lamb. I was so happy to see that. I love all the items you were sent. How fun. I just love seeing these babies being born and their adorable faces. Thank you Sandi for sharing your sheep and farm life with us. I learn more about what you have to do with fsrming. As someone said you squeezed 46 hours into a 24 hour day.
I think the lambs wagging their tails while nursing is sooooo precious!!!
Received the "Flock of Sheep" beanie hat from Pachamama! LOVE it! Glad you received goodies! 👏👍✨❤
I LOVE vlogmas & getting a Sandi-fix more than twice a week! Newborn lambs at Christmas really put me in the celebratory mood! 💕💕
I've had a terrible few months. my roommate asked me how i was doing because of my depression, anxiety, and seasonal disorders, in addition to a bunch of stuff happening. and i said "its gonna be okay. its almost time for Lambs." and any time i started to get really stressed..... "its okay. Lambs are coming." and let me tell you, now that lambs are here... the seretonin is real.
Not realizing that it would be shipped from the UK (I am in the US), I ordered based on your recommendation and have gotten the warmest cap I have ever had. As an old lady, warmth is important to me, as my metabolic rate has decreased as my years have advanced. I must say, I LOVE it! And I just ordered the red one (my favorite color) so I can swap from time to time. Thanks, Sandi, for letting us know about this company, their charity and work in Nepal, and their products, and for all you do for your family (both in RL and video), and your sheep.
Sandi, you bring so much sunshine to a dreary world, I say thank you dearly for your channel. God bless you and your family. ❤
Maraposa outdid themselves this year with the Advent calendar. It is such a joy watching you explore and create each day!
There are so many contrasts between how Sandi operates and the more traditional methods of Cammy and Lizzie operate in Ayreshire. There's room in our hearts for both. It's so fascinating to watch and compare the day-to-day handling of flocks and marvel how different, yet similar, they are at getting results. You can argue all day about which is best, but the bottom line is there are as many ways of farming as there are farmers. Get the best from what Mother Naure offers and what you're physically capable of doing with resources available.
What you do keeps me connected to my aggie roots, and heartens me that it can be done ethically and responsibly.
The Christmas intro is adorable! Never good when both lambs want to come at the same time but the other Mums were ready as the L&D nurses! 🐑😂
My cat went into labor on Cyber Monday and her last baby was breech. I helped her deliver it and it survived!!
Congratulations!
The baby lambs are so cute and you're interactions with the ewes are so kind and helpful. Your vlogs always brighten my day. I know the Advent calendars were just a trial one -- somehow, someway I hope you can make a lot more for next year -- I'd even be willing to purchase in advance. beautiful packaging and cute ornaments -- it would be a terrific craft project for the days before Christmas. I can't knit but it looks like I might be able to do the felting -- not as fast as the videos! Thank you Sandi for your honesty and candor.
LOVE how much LOVE you have for your furry and non furry family!! Your channel is SO INSPIRING & UPLIFTING, especially in these troubled times and plus, being a real city girl, I have learned So much about sheep & farming, lots of RESPECT, THANK YOU! ❤from Montreal
Just beautiful lambs, Sandi! So far, so good. I want to grab each lamb and snuggle for days! 🤗 Thank God it's been a smoother lambing than some. Plus, not having to set up the nanny yet, is remarkable! Being able to foster the two triplet lambs, successfully really helped out. This will bring down your costs tremendously and I hope it stays that way!
About the Pachmama (I really hope I spelled that right) gifts, incredible and beautiful things! Every one of them is a fine quality that you will get a lot of use out of (and naps, too)! 😂 I think the hand warmers are made with the 'finger' parts so that there are not 40 different finger lengths needed to fit everyone. It's like having a fingerless glove, which I'm sure you'll love as the temps keep getting colder. Thank you for sharing this company and products, with the coupon code!
I can't wait to start getting some stats for this season. Even though there are negative outcomes already, I bet you will be as shocked as I think I will be.😮🧐 Looking at it logically, I bet the average is still at least 2 lambs/ewe minimum. It is my guess anyway.
Sandi, as a nurse that has done labor and delivery, you would be an awesome coach for anyone. You get right in there, without frustration and stress, to get a much calmer process with fantastic outcomes. The ewes are not trying to move away when you give up; they seem more attentive to each lamb; and, they calmly stand as the milking machine without impatience kicking in. These are only a few things I noticed so far. These ewe qualities do not wear in your nerves, either. You are calmer, gentler, and have more time to spend with each ewe and lamb. Furthermore, it is great to see the smile of enjoyment on your face! Congratulations my friend 🎉
As always, thank you so much for sharing a slice of your life with us! We're all here rooting you on. Blessings from Alabama ❤️
P.S. Pachmama is the correct name.
Love your channel. You work so hard. It just amazes me thar youtube is so picky about showing the birthing process. They allow naked ladies , foul language etc. That stuff is way more offensive than natural birth of these gorgeous babies. Thanks for all you do. Merry Christmas.
Sandi your my favorite, my happy place. I remember when there were only 26k followers…now you have 1.07m !! You’re so deserving of every accolade that comes your way. I’m gonna be honest…my favorite time is lambing. THank you for sharing your life and journeys. 💗🐑💗
Looks like you have figured out how to keep CZcams happy and still show us the births… Yay, Sandi. 🥳😍
Your lambing videos make me so happy! Love those little fuzzy faces! You are an awesome shepherdess!
I just love watching the new babies with their mom.
Thank you for sharing, Sandi! I know it's a lot of work, but you enrich and educate so many people's lives. HUGS!

Love, love, love the new hats and sweater. They couldn't have gone to a more deserving person!🐑
Oh Sandi, that first set of lambs you showed has one that looks like a baby deer. Watch all yours and Jessica's videos. Most time I do not comment on the videos, but am aware of the feeling that I experience from your videos. Thank you and your daughter.
The music, the lights, the calm - December lambing is the best of the Christmas season for me.
Sandi, it's so nice to see you doing what you think is best for your animals without worrying what the city dwellers think you should do. 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
Oh the poor ewe with the pretzel lambs! It is so cute to see the other ewes gather around to see what is going on. Those items from Pachamam were wonderful!
You've got to adore little Peanut. She's so cute!😍
And the last minutes of the video with just lullaby music and little babies..... thank you so much for that! It brought tears to my eyes. ❤
I hope we get to see the Christmas lamb hat soon. It looked so beautiful when you pulled it out of the bag that I can't wait to see you wear it.
Pachamama items with the sheep are soooo cute. How fantastic that they sent you gifts. 😻🥳
Beautiful haul from Pachymama. I got the hat version of your ear warmer after you gave us their name last time. They do have beautiful items. Love your Vlogmas and the little lambies!
Sandi, Good morning! I think that ewe nodded yes when you asked permission to check her.
You are so deserving of those gifts. You bring a smile and sometimes hardache to everyone who sees your video..so thank you from the bottom of my heart. Seeing peanut next to it's neighbor really shows how late little she is. 😊
Sandi, we love your channel! ❤ Thanks for another great vlog.
I love at 4:07 ish how the one ewe in behind looks over and watches Sandy help deliver the little one! So cute!!
Sandi, I love all your videos but especially the lambing ones. That tiny lamb with the brown-tipped ears is adorable. Glad you were able to foster a triplet with the mom that only had one.
Glad you are on a roll with the arrival of lamb's.
Smart move about Pipper, just to young to grasp boundaries that large.
Love the wool items sent to you. I use hand warmers while writing or working in a cold area. It's shocking how reasonable the sale items are converted.
People in Scotland claim wool value is nothing since often it's just bedding or insulation.
Stay warm in this weird weather ❄️
Sheep owners around the world get almost nothing from the shearing, plus they have to pay for the shearing. Sandi has touched on this too.
It's been a weird winter so far. We're in Winnipeg and it's been relatively warm for us here, not a lot of snow yet and lots of worry over not enough precip for the upcoming growing season. Hope you are getting enough for next season.
Awww the sounds those newborns make is sooo sweet. You’re doing a great job Sandy🥰
The chuckling sounds when the ewes clean off their lambs is very relaxing! 🐑🐑
You should get a little Christmas tree for your counter or table and put all the advent things on it! Peanut is so adorable! Thank you for brightening my day.
I don't know why but I love when you say Single Pringle 😊😊! I've enjoyed following you threw out the years. I've learned so much from you. Not just about lambing! I'm a lifetime member of The Brock Flock For Life ❤😊!!!
19:03 😂 did anyone else see the strength of the kicks inside the mama? Those are some strong babies in there. 😮😅😊
Reminded me of how I felt carrying my son. He was a super busy in utero baby, and somehow had perfect soccer kicks invariable aimed at my bladder🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely a beautiful video!! I loved watching the babies being born and when you lend them a hand or two lol. The lambs are just the sweetest things. I admire you and what you do Sandi. You are the best!!! 💜💜💜
I'm so glad everything is going well now with the lambing. I know it's still early but it's nice since Carissa had the day off, you didn't have to go crazy. I absolutely adore the cry of new born lambs, watching their little tales wag, and bonding with mum. The outro with the footage and the music was beautiful. Happy lambing Sandi ❤️🐑🇨🇦
‘Twas a fun post! It must be said, I can’t imagine anyone nor anything not wanting to be welcomed into this world by you Sandi! We can see, hear and feel the excitement as you bring or just welcome a new life to this world! You certainly are a great example of someone in their right profession at the right time!❤️❤️❤️
I love your advent calendar. I don’t usually like them because they are usually stale candy. But a crafty calendar like yours….👏👏👏👏👏
