Does anyone else just enjoying watching something get cleaned up, and knowing the animals enjoy it too? I always love cleaning our coops, and areas for our animals, it's so satisfying.

I'm no farmer but I do live in Iowa we have corn ,soybeans, hogs , cows an lamb's very interesting.

I am impressed by these sheep, you spread the straw loosely, put the ewes in the paddock and within one go the straw was spread evenly. They were trained perfectly!

I swear, Sandi, you are just too god damn cute when you smile. Like honestly, I might just get diabetes from watching that smile of yours. You are just so bright and bubbly and I really enjoy seeing this side of you. (Not too say I don't stick around for the ugly parts too) but I really enjoy watching you being happy. You have such a contagious smile when you're talking about something you love.
Sandi, I'm impressed by your backing up skills. Any time I try to drive my car backwards, I end up swerving off to the side. I notice the ewes do a great job of scattering the hay.
I've never gone more than a day without seeing my wife. Enjoy your trip.

Have you ever noticed that the back of the bobcat looks like it is smiling? Makes me laugh. That dog never gets bored, you would think it would run from the noise but loving you is more important, so gotta keep up with Mom. Nice job great feeling for you to get so much done in a day! Blessings
That stuff, use the bedding, must make fantastic compost. After set time to break down and cure. Totally recyclable.

So glad you got your Bobcat back. Have an ol' Bobcat 743 that I love...I mean LOVE! Runs great. Just knowing it is out, ready whenever I need it, gives me a sense of security on the farm. Every woman needs a Bobcat in her purse! What a great vacation! Mark will be glad to see you and you will have so much to share!!! Enjoy!

The sheep seem so happy, I thought it was interesting how they all ran back and forth when let into the pens until the hay was all spread out!!

Hahaha! I learned something. Who knew you didn’t have to shred up that hay for their beds? But when you think about it all those churning little feet are like hay thrashers.....but I wouldn’t have thought of that till I spread hay for 2 hrs.....

So happy for you. We were there Aug-Sept 2013. Would go back in a heartbeat. Just so beautiful with the cattle,sheep,green grass,and mountains. Hard to get use to the angle of the sun. Messes with my sense of direction. Look for the Southern Cross at night

When my mom took over the care for our flock from my grandmother, she has super hyper anxiety when she leaves for a prolong time. Spending a weekend away is grueling for her. So she feels ya. Lol! But we're excited that you are crossing out a bucket list item and talking time to rejuvenate! Obviously many of us are probably missing you already! Enjoy your vacation! 🐑🐑🐑👍👍
I had a small heart attack dang it! I hope you have a wonderful vacation and do double-check you have flight insurance. There are some grumbles going on about a lot of canceled flights due to the virus going around. So excited for you!!
The cruise lines and airlines in the states are giving rebates for cancelled flights and cruises.
Sandi is healthy, she will be fine, just be aware of the surrounding people.
Sandi’s young, she shouldn’t have any problems, and i dont think NZ will have any problems with Covid19. It’ll surprise me if they get up to 250 infected.

Looks like Dog is beginning to figure out a few things. That breed is incredibly smart, so he/she should be an excellent student. After watching you work, Dog could save you a lot of steps and some frustration. I’ve trained hunting dogs, again using natural instincts to accomplish special behaviors.
Have fun! One day I want to go there and Australia. I totally understand what being apart means. My hubby is active duty military and for the better part of the last 4 years has been away. We finally have gotten to the chill part and living like a family again.

My best memory of The North Island was waiting patiently, on the road, for about 10-15 minutes, as sheep crossed the road. Go see Rotorua- feels like you're on Mars! Marlborough vineyards mmmm... Safe and HAPPY TRAVELS Sandi!

I've been waiting for barn clean out day. I was getting anxiety seeing how deep the pack was getting.

@@cathiwim We know. But anxiety is like a phobia in that it isn't something that you can help but feel. The sheep barn is nothing compared to how I feel about cattle barns or feedlot pens. Coming from an equestrian background, the thought of not immediately removing poop and soiled bedding is a tough concept to work around.
CatsRUFOs my sisters have horses so seeing the depth was surprising as they would never let the stalls get that high! Guess sheep can handle it or is it the humans that it really matters to?
@@Elizabeth-rq1vi with the horses I'm used to cleaning the stall down to the dirt or mat and adding fresh bedding to a clean stall each morning then picking all of the poop out again in the afternoon.
