The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series, following The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11, 2011.
The game's main story revolves around the player character and their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. The videogame is set two hundred years after the events of Oblivion, and takes place in the fictional province of Skyrim. Over the course of the game, the player completes quests and develops the character by improving skills. The game continues the open world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.

I always had sympathy and admiration for Orcs. They have been treated terribly despite some of them being decent and not as evil as they are portrayed to be.

And still, they managed to make their mark in Tamriel just as the Nords, Redguards, Imperials And Elves! That's every coward who looks like an Orc. Aka Orcs who become bandits are not true Orcs. Orc culture values honor and courage there's nothing honorable or courageous about robbing innocent traveller's whom can't defend themselves. So not a true Orc running his mouth.
That said me being an Orc I get the " I'll show you what a real Orc can do " line before I best them.
You know if you really think about it aside from their occasional raids the orcs along side the argonians and khajiit have caused the least amount of trouble out of all the races of Tamriel
Well, the Bosmer don't do much either, only rarely have they done stuff on their own, outside of being allied with the Khajit and Altmer

@@shroudthewolf1105 they're meant to be. Personally, Summerset and Greymoor are the expansions that had a lot of potential but didn't live up to it from a story stand point. Summerset didn't really give you the impression of how powerful Altmer were supposed to be.
Imagine a quest in TES6 where you go to an Orc stronghold and help train one of the Orcs to overthrow his father

They are the strongest and most honourable race on Tamriel.
Maybe honor is the wrong word? They are definitely dutiful and stand by their moral code, but I don't know that honor plays too much into it. I'd say the most honorable are the Imperials. They are pragmatic servants of justice, whereas the orcs know only strength.
I'd say they are the strongest only under average circumstances. Technically argonians are the strongest when they get a taste of that super soldier hist sap lol.
@@dorianrobinette9712 The Argonians are the hardest to conquer because of their homeland but with your logic you could also say the Bosmer are the strongest because of the Wild Hunt. IMO the Nords are the strongest
osyrys AKA kasketkid that a fair view. I don't remember much about the whole wild hunt thing so i don't know how powerful it is exactly but I do know that the argonians became insanely powerful due to the hist sap back during the oblivion crisis. Seriously even without the swamps of their homeland they'd never be conquered with that stuff as long as the hist trees kept giving it to them.

Unfortunately they're not as used out as other races. Maybe if they were made a bigger threat to main cities an had larger strongholds they'd be taken more seriously.
Imagine having quests where you as an Orc character can aid other orc tribes taking over settlements, farms and outposts, or just pillaging innocent villages for loot.
I like playing as Orcs too (I'm a about that brute strength lol) first character I ever made for Skyrim was a one eyed orc 👌

After watching this - the orcs and their tribal strongholds make soo much sense now. Think about it -
Imagine a race of warriors who are very infamous and said warriors are daedra worshippers and they breed at exponential rates like goblins. So of course people (out of paranoia, fear, or extreme prejudice. Maybe even all 3) would run them out when there's too many of them gathering all in one spot. This explains why the strongholds of Skyrim are all in 4 different corners of skyrim. "But what about the fact that they breed like rabbits/goblins?" And thats why the chieftain is the only one who gets to marry. So as to keep the numbers in check and not allow overpopulation - which would lead to not only more attention from holds, but also more consumption of limited resources. And the chieftain being the strongest in not only physical might but character and ability to lead is beneficial for the tribes wellbeing in terms of external and internal threats such as war and infighting. And then there's this theory of theirs that the chieftains supreme strength will get passed on to the next generation, so they plan to make up for what they lack in quantity with quality. Then there's this legit *Duty* that if an orc chieftain is old, he must be overthrown immediately. Why? - orcs are focusing on survival, it'd be pretty counter productive if the chieftain isn't fit to lead. Orcs are the best warriors in Tamriel.
It's no theory that is how evolution works... Orcish culture As brutal as it is, it Is perfectly Designed to amplify evolution!!! Making it work faster and more efficiently!!! This explains why the orcs are so strong within the context of the lore!!! (In universe they're stronger than they are in the games) Orcs are strong because they Breeded out there ABILITY to be weak!!! Then when DNA inevitably makes a mistake and a orc is born weak He doesn't survive... When dna makes a mistake and a orc is born stronger Then normal they will quickly become chieftain and that mistake will become standardized Among the stronghold!!! And because orc strongholds Trade women to prevent inbreeding... It will become Standardized among the orcs in general!!!

Honestly that would be so cool. Especially since ES6 takes place in Hammerfell. Maybe there could be a special quest where we finally bring lasting peace between the Orsimer, Redguards, & Bretons. I don't know how they'd do that but it would be long overdue. Orcs deserve a consistent homeland like the other peoples of Tamriel.

On break at work when i got the notification. My day has been made thanks to an elder scrolls video.
The orc noble was my favourite build you’ve made as it was a new take on standard orc builds
Orzon of the high wind stood motionless as the clansman berated him before the others. He took the jibes. He took the scalding. At his opponent's height he stared forward. His opponent became furious. Orzon continued to gaze forward. Eventually, Orzon thrust forward an arm. Extended, a dagger of Orichalcum was placed and he waited. His foe grinned at his hubris and demanded a Halberd of the same material. "A fight? Fool." As his foe waited. The Clan cheif leaned into Orzon's ear, but before he uttered a word, Orzon of the Highwind gave a swift flick and his opponent's head slid off of his body.
That day the New Orsinium was born.
"No longer shall we sit by and suffer the slander and disregard" Orzon addressed the crowd.
"no longer do we fight amongst ourselves." He regarded his opponents corpse.
"Today we take the initiative. Today we become a unified people. Orsinium is not a refuge of place, but in our hearts. TODAY we mark our destiny on Tamriel"
As sea of onlookers at first shocked were now chanting.
Orzon thrust the dagger into his Chamberlines arms.
"Hammerfell. What news?" Orzon demanded.
"You didn't challenge him"
"I did. I called for a dagger. He wasted time. News Hammerfell"
The sound of the crowd seemed to asuade the Chamberline's doubts.
"They haven't responded. Yet."
Orzon had a glint in his eye.
"Then we must change that."

My character backstory
Ugh-Lyn Bautista (homage to dave Bautista, actor for drax. Who inspired me to take up lifting when he was a wrestler and very much shaped my character as a result.)
An orc charged with immortality until his death in battle. Or until he overcomes his greatest challenge. His father, and his grandfather both died trying to lift the curse, but none has defeated the orc favoured in valor.
(think kratos, but an orc)
Ironically his story/character is very similar in oblivion he was ruthless and brutish right up to the end of the main quest when he lost many dear friends, and eventually saved the world.
Skyrim, he’s much more stoic, and wise. Even taking on children, the boy from morthal and the girl from whiterun.
He becomes leader of the companions, slayer of the vampire menace, alduin, and miraak.
Now on to his next journey in TESO6. His family, (aela, kids, lydia, many dear companions) all dead from age. He longs to be with them again. So, he searches to either overcome his greatest challenge, or find himself a good death.
And will happily slaughter many thalmor along the way 😋

Actually the best at destruction magic is high elves because they have the most magic . Berserker rage dosent effect taking or giving magic damage only phycial

Orcs have the best ability in skyrim berserk rage. Double damage and half damage for a short time but all you'll need to quickly destroy opponents. The best race to play on legendary survival mode with best resistances for survival mode.
That double damage applies to sneak builds too. A good smithed dagger + Sneak dagger perk (x15) x2 with assassin gloves x2 with beserk rage = legit 1 shot.
And it stacks with werewolf

I play Orcs in Skyrim since the game came out in 2011. I gotta say I love this video and want to thank FudgeMuppet for making this. I usually play an Orc warrior who strictly follows the Code of Malacath. Never murder, never steal, and I never attack someone who can't handle a fight.

Boethiah and Mephala working together against another god makes me wonder about the relationship dynamics between other gods.
It's similar in my opinion to how they grouped up on jyggalag and created sheogorath to keep him from becoming overwhelmingly powerful even to the point he could dominate other deadric princes. Makes me wonder if 5-6 of them could somehow unite in such a way if they couldn't actually destroy 1 of the other princes

These orcs are like the polish. Stuck with tradition. Proud of their people. And the strength to stand against the bigotry and attacks by other nations. They hold close to family and follow a code of honor to treat each other with respect. Such aspects are just amazing. They also are very faithful to their god Malacath.

Ive been playing d&d and ive noticed one big difference between skyrim and d&d.
Races in skyrim: the only thing you can be is whatever vicious stereotype your race is stamped with
Races in d&d: yeah but they arent all like that though you can do whatever.
Example: orcs in skyrim are like “rrrr”. And orcs in d&d are like “rrrrr i love my mom dont talk about my mom rrrr”
Notsure skyrim pretty much played with that stereotype though, you had a terrible orc bard, an amazing orc chef, a learned orc librarian, a hidden orc mage enemy, it was only really in the strongholds that you saw the stereotype.

Their culture were inspired by Asians, mongols

My orcs name is Faüra Knight. I'm planning on getting 2 dremora thralls, the longhammer, atronach stone. The alteration perks to resist and absorb Magika.
And armor that reduces destruction magic cost by 100 percent so I can do an infinite leader beam attack for the dragons. Only orcs can double damage for that spell too.

Orc culture leaves many questions. 2 big ones. 1; when the son defeats the father, what happens to his blood mother? With animal husbandry we know line breeding can actually make offspring stronger, and this would please Malacath, but direct inbreeding can severely weaken offspring, offending their God. So it is reasonable he would marry is fathers wives but not his mother. 2; wouldn't it be understandable with their way of life, their would be half-orcs? Males strong yet unable to become chief may consider marrying a worthy Nord or Redguard makes sense. I am sure there should be more half-orcs than Bretons. Although, their lifestyle does explain why Orc bandits seem quite weak.
The Chieftain's mother becomes the wise woman, and the chief marries new orc wives from other strongholds to prevent inbreeding.

I don't foresee to many of the other races allowing their women to marry the orcs. The women themselves probably wouldn't be all to happy to be an orcs wife just by the looks but hey I'm sure weirder shit has happened in elder scrolls
In the elder scrolls lore the race of the mother is dominant, so in a situation where a male orc would have a child with a Nord or Redguard woman the child will be either a Nord or Redguard with slight hints of their Orcish ancestry. Kind of like Bretons they look like humans except that some have slight points in their ears, have higher cheekbones and are frail in appearance. I think it kind of sucks but that's just the way it is in the ES lore.

Playing as a orc makes me feel like a saiyan seeing How they are a natural race of warriors and most orcs die in battle because of how much they fight but they can still work together to defeat there foes they have lots of pride and love to fight and even in small weak squads they can defeat the strongest enemies in 60 seconds

I like the orcs they’re not so bad they have a loyalty to their tribes they are a hardy people that can give even the hardiest of nords a run for their money
How does it work when an Orc or a High Elf worships Trinimac? Is their a deity called Trinimac who exists? Or does Malacath just appear as Trinimac in front of those who worship him as Trinimac and appear as Malacath to those who worship him as Malacath?
While the Orsimer may not see it the same way, as a Boethiah worshipper, I see them as siblings. They would probably see me as a treacherous bastard, but there's no denying that their race and I personally have a shared link to Boethiah. And so to would my worship of Boethiah make me a Pariah should others discover it. Besides, the orc culture is one of complete badassery. Boethiah treasures the strong, and their entire culture breeds nothing but strength.
Orc's should get more spotlight in TES 6.

For me, this is the only two occasions where Orcs portrayed in good notions alongside Of Orcs and Men
