  • Hello CZcams, Flashlight Enthusiast here! Sofirn SC31T is a newer model of a very succesful SC31 Pro with SST40 and over 2.000 lm @ turn on. With simpler UI and tactical button it is intended for less experienced non-enthusiast users, armed forces or just for those who like to have tail switch instead of the side one. Enjoy!

    *I have the SC31Pro and always wanted the same model but with a tactical tail switch, glad they came up with the SC31T.*
    *If only they could have changed the clip for a deeper carry clip it would be a perfect EDC light.*
    *Maybe change the bezel for a steel crenelated bezel since it's supposed to be a tactical version.*

    Hello. This is my first video I watched from you. Very detailed. I would like to ask before purchasing this light, can I use different 18650 batteries in these? I'm totally new to rechargeable batteries but I would like to know if I have to keep the same mah and that sort of thing. I gotta do more reading. Thanks in advance!

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast
      @FlashlightEnthusiast  Před rokem +1

      Hello, welcome to the family! You can use other 18650 batteries as long as they fit and provide enough current. In case of this flashlight I recommend unprotected (so shorter, without additional protection circuit on top), flat top (opposite to button top). Sanyo GA, Samsung 35E or LG MJ1 are good choice here. They all can handle around 10A continuous discharge current. Make sure to source them from trusted shop, as they are lots of fakes on the market (usually can be spotted by lower price, however not always). Enjoy!

    je viens de commander la sc32 avec perle sft40 ! elle est magnifique une vraie petite bombe , je suis impatient de la recevoir maintenant . ma prochaine commande chez sofirn sera pour la sc31pro et la sc31t , et je vais acheter le tube court de la sp40 afin de pouvoir raccourcir la sc31t et la sc31pro , je ne sais pas si c'est un tube court pour 18350 ou 16340 . comme ça je pourrais passer de la sc31pro et la sc31t en version mini pocket pour les deux modèles , j'imagine déjà la sc31pro avec le tube court et l'interrupteur arrière de la sc31t ! c'est ça que j'adore chez sofirn justement , c'est qu'on peut facilement modifier les flaslights .
    D'ailleurs sofirn à créé un tube court pour la wurkkos Fc12 et la fc11 , la fc11 est la même que la sc31pro en terme de taille et dimensions . belle vidéo merci à toi ! ☺️

      Hi, yes, if you set it to Turbo mode, it remembers the last used mode - tail switch only works to turn on/off the flashlight.

  • @collectorman7

    bonjour , excellente vidéo , dit moi , est ce que le tube de la sc31t avec son interrupteur , est ce que le tube de la 31t avec son interrupteur fonctionne sur la tête de la sc31 pro ? j'ai vu que tu as essayé , mais est ce que cela fait fonctionner la tête de la sc31pro avec le corps et l'interrupteur de la sc31t ? Merci d'avance . et un pouce bleu bien mérité :)

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast
      @FlashlightEnthusiast  Před 2 lety +1

      Theoretically yes, but you still need to operate it via side switch, despite having tail switch in on position - so tail switch is useless there, unless you want the lockout via it...

      @FlashlightEnthusiast  Před rokem +1

      SC31T - set thermal limit for 45°C, you can do nothing about it
      SC31 Pro - here you can set it manually as high as 70°C or as low as 30°C, with 1 degree increments

      @@FlashlightEnthusiast - LOL! 🤣 I would simply like a quality high lumen flashlight like my Sofrin SC32 (2k Lumens) that has a focusable lens. I keep buying Amazon junk and giving them away. I get you think that is a novelty toy item, but it does have a use and comes in handy. Just bought a Sofrin Q8 Pro thanks to you BTW, it hasn’t arrived yet. I used to have a good one that died… and would like another. Unfortunately it was about 8 years old and I can’t find it.

      @@FlashlightEnthusiast - My apologies, I think I misunderstood your comment. I focused on the word ‘Novelty’ and assumed you were being sarcastic, nicely saying zoomable flashlights weren’t serious flashlights. I thought it was funny, my bad. Checked out the Z1 and it looks interesting! Thank you! Don’t have any with that battery size, I’ve stuck to 18650’s as I can recharge 4-8 at a time and swap them out as needed. Thanks for the response and so sorry I took your response as sarcasm. 👍🏽🥰

    Thanks for this great review 👍
    I guess there is an important difference between the 2 model which is crucial to my purchase decision
    If the T model interrupt the current then should have no battery self discharge in the long term, I mean you can leave it in the backpack and rest assured to find with same battery level and ready to use
    The pro on the other side wit that electronic side switch might constantly drain little current that I'm the long term deplete the battery so you need periodical check / recharge, which I hate and forget to do
    Can you confirm my thoughts? Thanks 🙏 I put the CZcams like on the video 👍

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast
      @FlashlightEnthusiast  Před 2 lety +2

      Yes, you are right. Electronic switch draws some minor current. It can be easily fixed by unscrewing the tailcap lightly, thus switching off current flow.

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast
      @FlashlightEnthusiast  Před 2 lety +1

      Depends on your preference really. 6500K is more blueish, 5000K should be more like pure white, maybe with slightly greenish tint. Cool white is generally more efficient - so less heat and slightly more bright. But thats it.
