I’m with you I’m going through the mill too I’m home with surgical wounds that are so painful right now we’re trying to juggle my pain meds to make sure I’m covered better. How lush is that quilt you deserve that! Wish I could send something to brighten your day but I’m bedbound so can’t get out.. but I’d like to as soon as I’m able.. I just wanted you to know I’m here in solidarity and going through chronic Lyme disease and SSC (HPV squamous cell carcinoma) I’m still here still fighting first diagnosis was 2006! Just had 34th surgery so very tired but I will keep Fighting! Love & Prayers to you & big hugs #SuperDan #Warrior xxxx

Oh Dan, I got one too! I'm so excited for you. I wrapped myself in it when I had my chemo as it had been prayed over by dozens of women from an American church. I felt so comforted and safe when I lay in it. How blessed and loved we are. x

I wonder how many others picked up on it...haven't seen any other posts about it like yours! Please know that I UNDERSTOOD, that I REALIZED EXACTLY what you were saying! I made 2 smaller ones for my mum and they made her very happy. No quilt, but as much positive energy as I can send across the atlantic Ocean :)

Hi Dan, I'm in Cornwall & I sew. When you sew a quilt a lot of work goes into them & an awful lot of love. Wrap it around you & you will feel it, seriously you compare it to any shop bought textiles you have. It will be your own space, it is really very special & I hope you can see that there are a lot of people out here who really do care about you a lot. Live in the moment no matter how you are feeling. Fun fact for you: Down here in ‘Stralia, they call quilts or duvets ‘doonas’. Weird hey!!?! Weirder than that, they call the soft furnishings department (bedding, towels etc.) the Manchester department. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. No science experiment has played out more times and with more deadly results than chemotherapy. even if you fall into the 5% that survive 5 years (it used to be based on 10 year survival but they werent improving the stats at all so they changed it to 5 years so they could claim they were winning) you will have chemo brain and be a shadow of your former self. cancer is a disease of ignorance, science (otto warburg) found a cure and was awarded a nobel prize long ago. so fucking disgusted with western greed

Praying for you man! I can't explain how much seeing you getting sicker has made me feel. It's surreal inspiration to see someone going through so much struggle and still make positive light of the situation. Watching your videos has humbled me.

Support from a community is critical. I remember when my dad was ill with cancer it was just me and my mom helping him and friends and relatives coming by and chipping in meant a lot. That was pre-social media, so today you have many more people checking in on you and willing to pitch in (if close enough to do so). Take care and I look forward to your next video (and take your time - when you feel up to it).
