I wanted to share that sometimes this loss happens also even when someone is still alive- and its never talked about and should be..i grew up severely neglected and abused from day 1 onwards by a single mother whom has DID and is very narcissistic and a gaslighter. Life was about surviving, never living. Since i had my kids ive been diagnosed with autism( which i could have done with support with as a child) and complex ptsd and dissociative seizures due to my trauma. 7 years ago i felt the need to separate my life from that of my mother in order to begin to mentally heal..tried contact last year but alas mother is too narcissistic so last month i made the incredibly hard decision to completely break all further contact with her forever. I need my strength as i raise and homeschool my two autistic children. Somehow knowing she is still alive keeps the severe pain and loss alive..there's no 'closure ' as usual loss has. Its so sore it hurts in my chest. But im sharing cause no one talks about this scenario..and yet it happens to many ..How to navigate having to let go? Im still struggling to accept it. Any tips or experiences you have please make a video..it may benefit many. Take care you are doing sooo well.😀

My son is 16, he’s been suffering from anxiety and depression for over a year now after he suffered bullying in high school. He won’t go to therapy and in the current climate it’s difficult to get any support so I’m helping him myself with self help books I’ve read on anxiety in the past as I too have an anxiety disorder, He’s decided against college because of the children he wants to avoid now he’s finished high school, so we’re supporting his decision and keeping him positive. Once covid is over he said he wants to get an apprenticeship, and I really do hope he achieves that. He’s lost all his friends as they turned to drugs and turned on my son for not wanting to do them. He’s made friends online gaming during covid and he’s so much happier but he’s still not going out much. He will take a morning walk now and again. I’m trying not to push him and just go at his pace.

Watching this and I’m already crying. My heart goes out to you and your family. Sending my love, thoughts, hugs and prayers. I just want to give you the massive hug. I lost my Nan last year so this October will be the first year since her passing. I remember my mum telling me the news on the phone and I was food shopping when I got the call. It was like my heart sunk, I was numb. Not a day goes by where I don’t miss her. I understand about pain and grief. Yeah, you should take it easy. Keep strong. I remember with my mental health, it all started since school when I was constantly being bullied and teased about me and my sexuality which I didn’t know at the time now I know who I am. It helps being told that I shouldn’t change for anyone and just having that encouragement to be myself. Feel like I have had mental health all my life. Mental health should not be sugarcoated any more. We need to have more of these discussions. Sending you all the love and positive vibes in the world ❤️😭

Ah Alex there are just no words to help you or comfort you just know that so many of us are living with this nightmare and just 'get it' 😥. I sufferered the loss of my son to this dreadful illness and theres no recovery but make your Bro about his life and not his death as that's the most precious way of honouring him. When you're in the middle of a suicidal crisis you have no thought to ask for help so I pray people listen to you and recognise when the brain is losing control and at that point, reach out. Love to you and your parents who grieve their child and watch the pain in the eyes of their others. It's unbearable ❤❤❤

I'm so sorry for your loss. Just 19 years old. Such a devastating loss. It's awful to contemplate for those of us who never knew him, so it's unimaginable how you and your family feel. The awful thing is that when people do this thing, they make it so difficult for family and friends to guess that it's coming, they give you no chance to help them or stop them but it's not their fault. Not anyone's fault. Just a very sad and difficult thing to deal with.

Really sorry to hear of your loss. I wish I'd had been given this advise 3 years ago when I lost my brother to mental health also. It affected me in ways I never thought possible. I didn't do myself any favours as I just kept pushing through and didn't take any time out for myself. Id already suffered a huge loss just 6 months prior to my brothers passing when my step-father passed away. Its just the most unimaginable thing to happen when mental health is involved. Your want to make a big change and create a better understanding of this subject is super commendable. Sending you my deepest condolences for you and your familly 💙

I lost my brother 11 years ago, he was 23. None of us saw it coming, he didn't have any mental issues that we were awere of. I still think of him almost every day but the first year was the hardest, I actually felt heart ache everytime I thought of him, the kind of pain I had never felt before. Because I'm a dr myself, I had a lot of self blame, how didn't I see it, why didn't I do anything etc. I finally realisee sometimes it's just not possible to help someone who doesn't want to be helped. All the best to your family!

I’m sorry for your loss ❤️
Maybe as a podcast episode or something you could speak more about Llyr and his life. Maybe about what he was like and what he enjoyed. His friends, school, hobbies. And on maybe what it’s been like for you and your family following his death and what those first few days/weeks were like. Of course this is personal to your family so no pressure. Yet so often we here these declarations about ‘focus on mental health’ which is good, but very rarely hear about how it can truly affect anyone even if you can’t see it, and what life is like for those around you if something tragic happens.
The CZcams ‘camandfam’ did a very very eye opening video discussing her husbands suicide recently. Very eye opening but I’m sure helpful to those going through it or dealing with troubling thoughts.
