Important note to CZcams and to viewers:
Please note that this channel reviews original and homage watches. Homage watches are perfectly legal and most watches on peoples' wrists are an homage of another watch.
To be clear I do not handle or review fake watches here. I never have and never will! It is a scourge on the hobby I love.
All music/ sound effects are legitimate and licensed properly via Epidemic Sound.
Be great to see the Yelang tritium in for review if possible John......looks to be an interesting watch. Be good to see the finishing etc. Cheers.
.......Coming soon ;)
Fab, definitely be watching that John. Much appreciated. Enjoying your content.
...that's all I can ask ;)
that nomos homage is really nice, especially the blue one.
It's exceptionally well made for such a price :)
Credit card...... brace for impact...😂
Sorry buddy 🤗
@@johnswatchjointwhat an excellent selection here. I've only seen 1 of those watches before. Top job John.
🤣😱
Cheers Mark ‼️
Hi guys can anyone tell me an easy ir rough way how to work out the import fees to mainland UK. I've been on a couple of websites with import duty calculators but I'm unsure if they're correct.
Thanks in advance.
Great Selection John cant wait for the Reviews
Hi buddy I haven't ordered all of them. Just a select two or three....big sale coming up:)
Nice list of watches ! That quartz GMT looks interesting. I just ordered the newest version of the NH34 Corgeut GMT with the fixed steel bezel this afternoon. Got a great price with coupons and coins ! Apparently it even comes in a real box now, not the polystyrene package! The Seestern is very nice too. Appreciate the suggestions !
Cheers Brian. Thanks for watching :)
Very nice. I’m looking forward to all the reviews, but I’m really curious about the Addiesdive mm300 Homage. I want to say Zee (the Watcher) reviewed one of these, and it fit him pretty good and his wrist is 6.5”. Thanks as always.
I haven't ordered all. Just a select few as we are getting close to the big sale. Cheers Albert.
Is the sale around 28 March?
I believe it's the 29th but I will keep everyone informed so make sure you subscribe 🙂
Please get the tritium one in. I've been thinking of using one as a bedside clock.
Fine vid John! On the tri-compax chronograph I think you mentioned VK 63 twice. If I’m not mistaken, only the VK 67 has a 12 hour totalizer rather than the ubiquitous (& moronic imho) 24 hour sub dial. Even the much ballyhooed Seiko Speed Timer tries to get you with the is it daytime dial…….. “we are spelunkers” but noooooo. ……so, fine review but that’s OK with me…….just a deal killer with that particular movement. Cheers!
Sorry your comment was in the sin bin for some reason. You are indeed correct they have listed as VK63 in error and I have parroted that. Glad that someone is always there to correct me. It happens.
I’m a big fan of yours John. “Sin Bin” indeed. I am antifa so I suppose my unbridled comments on the poor state of world politics (especially here in Texas, USA ) …..have brought me to this “sinful” state……..😂😜🤪🤣 😵💫……Lol
Thanks for a good cross section of offerings, some I like, some I'm not so taken by, but I enjoy the content.
Thanks buddy. I try to bring something for everyone ..it doesn't always work haha 😆
Excellent selection of watches and I've really become a fan of Addiesdive. I recently ordered their Hamilton khaki field bondage and I can't wait for that one to show up in the mail in the next couple of days. I'll be looking forward to your upcoming reviews.
Hi James and thanks...the Addiesdive you referred to, I ordered a couple of weeks ago and it arrived this morning. The first impressions are good but I won't say anything until I put it through its paces in my full review ;)
@@johnswatchjoint I can hardly wait for that review! I have a feeling, with my past experience with Addiesdive, I'm going to regret buying the original Hamilton for almost $500 when this one with it's better spec sheet is a third of the price. I bought the one with the metal bracelet since I have a huge box of 20mm straps. I'm looking forward to your review as much as I'm looking forward to receiving the watch in the mail.
Best regards!
I know the feeling. I bought the teal deal a couple of years back and returned it. It just didn't do it for me. The long lugs were awkward.
Woohoo!!!
I like up to 45mm watches but no larger and that's pretty big itself.
I only ended buying 2 watches in the sale.
Trying my best not to buy too many at the moment.
It's tough!
I'm interested to see that Proxima 1963! But not with a unicorn logo. A 1963 with a unicorn logo?!? What were they thinking?🤯
Unfortunately Proxima explained that the Asian market insist on the Unicorn Logo. The Red star version is on its way :)
Some great choices there 👍 I will be interested to see which ones you have ordered.
Thanks Duncan. :)
Great video, nice to see some different watches. What is the M Code a homage to? I have seen it somewhere before but cannot plave it.
To be honest I can't pin it down. It's not something I am aware of but I'm not a chronograph expert sorry 😐
Really like the Proxima. I wanted the 38mm version for a while, but it always had 18mm lug width, which I don't like. This ticks nearly all the boxes, except for the price. About 40 quid too much compared to all the others
I suppose it's the price to be paid for the beautifully finished case. They have one of the best cases on AliExpress.
Nice selection, would like to see the Yelang and see if the more budget end tritium is any good, and the mysterious code, been thinking about that one myself. Cheers.
Noted sir 😉
Very nice finds, I don't know how you do it, I practically live on AliExpress doing searches for watches and I never came across these.
It takes a bit of digging but I love doing it! ☺️
I have that addiesdive in blue. The lume is insane. Its a chunky watch but sits great. A little high on the wrist but wears well with a proper strap. The finishing in between the lugs isn’t great for some reason on mine assuming you keep the original bracelet on.
Thanks for the heads up 🙂
It would be nice to see a side by side of that Hruodland and the Watchdive Wd 1967. They seem to be two brothers of similar mothers.
Good selection John. Not over keen on the quartz varieties, except the Mysterious Code. The retro shark master looks really interesting. My attention has been diverted of late from Alie Express to Bulova, never had one but the Marine Star 98A282 really has my finger hovering over the select button. Have you had any experience with Bulova?
Not personally but my wife wears a Bulova quartz. No issues.
very much like the diversification of brands in this review....there are a lot of brands like mysterious code and proxima doing really nice stuff that don't get reviewed as much as they should. .....I remember those playground battles between the Warlord and Bullet factions.....I confess I was a Warlordian but my best mate was a Bulletista ...then where was the great comic crash and they merged...but by that time I had defected to 2000AD ....ah happy memories of a more innocent time.
I was also a defector. Long live Tharg! 😆
@@johnswatchjoint Indeed all hail Tharg! there was rumours of a strontium dog movie. and I always wondered if it would follow the path of Stallone Dredd 😖or Urban Dredd ...maybe its better not to know
Some things are better left.... ;)
Bunch of cool watches on the list here. I'm saving my aliexpress purchase for the March sale, I think. I've been trying to buy the phoibos, but my bank is rejecting because they are China based 😢
I got my eyes on that seestern gmt (s434, I think)
Hey buddy. Long time no speak :)
The Seestern S446 is what I think you mean. It's a beautiful watch and I was happy but sad at the same time to give it away! Maybe wait to see if they do a V2 with an improved clasp with better adjustment ;)
@johnswatchjoint Hey sir! Good to hear from you!
I hope you are well :)
I've been working a bunch as we have some projects going on at work and at home (which are hopefully finished)
Yes, I think that's the one I meant, and I had concerns about the clasp as well. I've heard a rumor that a v2 is in the works, and I'm hoping they launch this for the March sale.
P.s
Again, thank you for taking the time out (you know), as that meant a lot to me.
Cheers, mate, and take care of yourself. Oh, and congrats on the increase in sub count.
@@johnswatchjoint I hope my message went through as it's not showing sometimes.
There is no VAT in the United States. I have 8 inch wrists so a big watch guy.
I’d like to see a review of the tritium, thanks
....Coming soon ;)
I like the Nomos homage Seestern (and they are a good quality brand) .. but not a fan of the color choices.
I think they deliberately stayed away from the original colour as it was too close to the bone ;)
@@johnswatchjoint... probably right ... but it hasn't stopped them in the past? 🤔
So we have Nomos and Breitling joining the chat 😂
I like your channel. Many are watch snobs. From what I see, you're not
I appreciate that!. I like all sorts of watches at all price points..I can still enjoy a £25 Casio as much as a £2200 Longines 🤗
I want to buy the Feaux-Mos and say its for my wife. If she doesn't like it, I know someone who will!
Good man 😊
