WOW Zed!!! First of all, Thanks for the video. That is a very nice and economical haul. Cannot say I have ever seen an 8 watch unboxing. I pretty much like all of them. I am still trying to stay away from AE watches, but these video make it tough. Still saving for my Mido...once I get that, AE will be open again. Cheers mate!!!!!
The Ixdao Engineer is very nice, but no half links. I wish they would make something original. The San Martin looks excellent, so I may keep half an eye open for a good used one

Sorry to say aside from the Thorn models nothing really jumped out at me but I'm definitely looking forward to your full and honest reviews and I guess that bronze one was the most interesting in the haul Be well my friend and Stay Frosty 👍

I also have that exact same colorway Engineer S&S wearing it now .. looks good feels heavy and I agree about the Miyota movement hacking.

Regarding NH35s being used on dateless watches: I have done hundreds of watch builds, 10-15 being NH38 builds and found that getting the stem cut just right on a NH38 is way more difficult than the NH35. (Possibly due to the multiple crown positions?)
I've always assumed thats why they were used in the aliexpress watches save a few.
Besides the point, you've done it and so have I, so as a brand, its something you need to be able to get right.
Nice content with different variants. San Martin 39 mm Titanium Pelagos still rulezz though.
I bought the Specht and Sohne IWC Ingenieur homage, green dial. When I opened the box it looked so beautiful. Pleasant surprise.
But, but, but.... It is flat and relatively long. My wrist is 7 inch, and such a flat case and rigid bracelet make it uncomfortable.
When I resized the bracelet, with the included tool, some pins came out ok, 3 pins did not want to come out or go back in.
There are no arrows on the back of the bracelet that indicate whether the pins have to be pushed out only one way.
I had to use pliers and force. One pin got bent.
The bracelet tends to pull hair and feels either too loose or too tight. With such a flat case I feel it should be worn snugly, but it feels very uncomfortable. I think I am returning it. Missed opportunity. I really like the dial, bezel, desaturated green. But the case should be less elongated. The iwc Ingenieur looks like to there is less dead space between the bezel and the lugs.
I have other watches with a similar angular case, the Seestern 600t and Citizen Tsuyosa. They wear so much more comfortable. The bracelets of those 2 are easy to resize and to wear.
I got the Specht and Sohne for only 63 dollars. The bracelet feels so bad. I wish they offered it with a rubber strap. That would solve the issue. it has non standard lug width, so there are no third party options.
The Specht and Sohne would probably be comfortable on a round 7.5 inch wrist or larger. The bracelet does not adapt well to skinny wrists.
I am looking forward to your review. I may have gotten a lemon and maybe it does not fit well just to some specific wrists.
That bracelet is one of the chief reasons I’m considering the IxDao despite the heftier price tag. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Good video Sir , new to the channel and I think this video is absolutely awesome. I think some of the homage watches are great,the prices are creeping up in line with the quality of the watches, I think it's time to buy a Thorn while they are still great value for the money.
The San Martin are great watches but at the price point I would go with a Seiko 5. Liked and subscribed and watching all your previous videos, massive thumbs up.

You have been busy! That's a good haul, I'm intrigued by Specht & Sohne, on the listings they look a bit too good to be true at the price. I've been considering their Santos homage. That bronze diver is beautiful, but 21mm lugs ☹️

yeah the SM GMT hands are too small, bezel too big. The mixing feels unbalanced on it, thus why I skipped.
My Thorn BB58 homage with pin and collar double screw pins I just took to my watch dealer today to resize - the only watch I have ever taken away to resize ... too much of a pain and stabbed myself 4x trying to do it myself.
The only other issue is the clasp which only had two micro-adjusts.

Hey, Zeb. Yes, Specht & Sohne sent you the wrong PRX homage. I too ordered the light blue/turquoise dial, and it is definitely not dark blue like the one you received. The dial is indeed excellent, but the bracelet on mine is very sharp. The corners on each link is super sharp, and the skin on my finger catches on every link corner. Mine is so bad that I don’t plan to wear or mod it. I had hoped to eventually use a new dial in it, but now, I’m just going to re-use the NH35 in another build. I really wanted to like this watch, especially at the excellent price, but I just can’t do it with the bracelet I received. Oh, well.

There are two new Specht & Sohne watches worth reviewing, since there is no other on Ali like them: the La Grande Corniche (SP0013 at 38mm, 45mm L2L) and VC 2215 Royal Chronometer (SP0017, also 38mm) resembling a Maen.
Both new releases, i have the sp0013 on way but not the 00017

Why would someone buy a PRX copy when the real watch is so cheap? That said it’s a nice copy but for 4-8 hundred bucks the real one is a bargain Swiss watch
