  • "The stream was named after Lajos Batthyány's daughter, Countess Ilona Batthyány, who spent most of her life in the Batthyány-Beniczky castle in Cinkota. The name Caprera was given by the countess as a sign of the respect she felt for Giuseppe Garibaldi. Garibaldi spent the last part of his life on the island of Caprera in Italy, withdrawn from the world.
The stream once provided enough water for two outdoor beach baths. One of the baths, which was fed by the stream, was the private bath of the countess, and the other was a beach bath formed from a lake originally used for horse bathing, watering and fire fighting. "
