the most underrated band.. Their music is so consistently beautiful through the years.
I accidentally found out about them for the first time only a couple of months ago, but now I am literally in love with this group. These guys proved to me that progressive metal can be melodic and catchy too.
Definitely 😁
Mac, he will lead your work with dignity and honour. RIP Mac, your legacy is on.
Threshold = Consistency in Music Excellence
Glynn Morgan is an amazing vocalist! Threshold is an AMAZING band.
How Threshold is not a household name like "Pink Floyd" or "AC/DC" or even "Metallica" will forever be one of Earth's greatest mysteries.
Yes,very sad, excellent band, not much marketing, very distinctive music.
i really dont get why they are not as popular as say dream theater or symphony x. definitely one of the top prog bands of our time
Legends of the shires, the best prog metal album of the last 10 years ... by far !!! fantastic!! THRESHOLD
Yeeeessss!!!, Threshold heard their fans, Damian was a good singer, but something was missed since Andrew passed away. Glynn has returned the power of the Threshold music again!!
This album is definitely in my top 10 of 2017. These guys deserve a lot more love and credit.
I always come back to this song. Threshold is so underrated.
The most overlooked, underestimated band to ever exist. These guys never disappoint!
Just wish UK music fans would notice them they deserve a way bigger fan base.
That must be 50 times I've listened to this already! Humming it all day. What a song guys!!
Threshold never disappoints. If it is Glynn, Damian or the too young lost Mac on the vocals.
As the premiere song "Lost In Translation" this new song rocks the roof of the house!
Can't wait to here the new album in it's complete edition.
Thumbs up guys, once again a masterpiece.
Powerful...Emotional...Rich...Flamboyant...Ecstatic...Contagious...Threshold!
Nicely said !!
The chorus is simply amazing! I love Threshold no matter who is singing!
Infinite,17 years ago and still unique.
I'm late but I saw INFINITE I couldn't resist. Stratovarius is one of my all time favorite bands.
hell yeahh stratovarius
I love the three vocalists who crossed the Threshold, with the return of Glynn Morgan. I believe that this new album will also look great, I can not wait to hear it
But I still love them, Damian, Andrew and Glynn
Oh, it s me or this single is simply awesome?
it's you, it's me, it's all of us! this indeed awesome.
Threshold: kicking ass in prog-metal scene since 1993!!!!!!!!!
As just as Ritchie Blackmore, Threshold never gets wrong in choosing singers :D
Glynn is amazing, and the band is so energetic!
Awesome! :)
Morgan is an absolute force. I love the texture of his voice, just perfect for this music, gig tickets are booked. :)
I love whoever writes the melodies. Threshold always delivers in that department for me.
Mostly Groom and West do the melodies.
Im still blown away by this
Threshold was founded by guitarist Karl Groom in Southern England, Surrey, UK, to be exact, in 1988. They have been inventing Progressive Metal in the UK since then. They never followed the trends, always have had a great strength in their songwriting, and a great collective chemistry. They lost another one of their vocalists in 2011, Andrew 'Mac' MacDermott, who passed away in 2011. So, they welcomed Glenn Morgan back into their band. The Legend of The Shires turned out to be a very great album. 83 minutes long. The second single "Small Dark Lines" is catchy and epic and the album is a labyrintyhe of ultra-progressive metal epics. The Members of Threshold are Guitarist: Karl Groom, Keyboardist: Richard West, Lead Vocalist & Guitarist: Glenn Morgan, Bassist: Steve Anderson, and Drummer: Johanne James. They really rock!! I really enjoyed the song "Small Dark Lines!" Great Taste Juha! Thank you for introducing our listening palates to this rockin' band!
I find it very powerful how that guy just kept on staring at the brushes and paints and after a while he just straight out pours all the paint onto himself. He must have been through some harsh stuff in life
These are the kind of songs that get hooked up in your head for a long period. Amazing tune.
Catchy as f***... as usual! Thank you Threshold for making so much addictive music!
Glynn Morgan is amazing!!! Threshold is the best !!!
Blown away! I never thought they could get back to the heights of the Mac era, but they did! Fantastic !
Finally saw them live here in Athens. What a criminaly underated band. Glynn was amazing!
Well, that's two from two. Loved both the songs I've heard so far, and Glynn sounds incredible once more. Can't wait for the album.
Andy B I'm so glad Glynn is back. Always felt he had unifinished business with Threshold. Sounds awesome here!
Big time, was always hoping he would make a comeback. He was great on Psychadelicatessen. Couldn't believe when he was announced as the new vocalist. Latest album doesn't disappoint.
Such a kick-ass song! Totally loving the new tunes and how the singer delivers
Love this band. Only got into them recently but was shocked by the sheer quality of their discography. They belong up there with Dream Theater, Symphony X etc. Great music, great vocalists, great lyrics, nice mix of poppy/accessible hard rock riffs with flashy prog complexity, the whole package.
too right mate
Nobody can replace Mac... but Glynn fits well Threshold... a nice comeback.
I was so glad he came back. Always felt he had unfinished business.
I love Mac, I really do, but I think personally that both Glynn and Damian are better👀
@@Tom-qj9oi I think Glynn is the best fit for the Threshold sound, followed by Mac then Damian. Don't get me wrong Danian I feel may be technically better than both but don't feel he quite fits as well as the other two do. Saying that, they have all done a great job and it's just about you prefer I guess.
What is a bigger shame though is the band never really got the recognition and limelight it deserves. Have been making consistently great music over the years.
@@t1000v20 I respectfully disagree, when you especially listen to the first album, you really hear that the band fits Damian's vocals. But I agree with the fact that this might be one of the most overlooked bands in metal and prog. They have always made great music, and they are still going strong. I'd even go that far to say that they are better than Dream Theater 👀 (Maybe not technically, but the song writing for sure)
@@Tom-qj9oi I actually think they are better than Dream Theater as well they just have far more quality songs overall whilst DT has good songs showcasing lots of great technique but pound for pound Threshold all day they just got stacks and stacks of good songs going all the way back to now. DT has far too many fillers. No real bad albums for me many stand out tracks in all of them and they are absolutely fantastic live. Will never get over how underrated and underappreciated they are.
why is this UK band never spoken in the same breath as Dream Theatre etc?? such a well hidden secret from the mainstrem media... a tragedy...they are well up there with the cream of prog pop rock metal..... always inject melody into their songs..which DT often lack..... awesome guys.... kickin asses !!
I usually don't mention Threshold in the same breath as Dream Theater out of the respect for the former.
This song let the sun shining on a rainy day. Yes I like it soooooo much. Welcome Glynn!!!
Great song and the best vocalist since Mac's departure and passing!
Well done guys!
Can't stop listen to this song, feels like an energy discharge, feels so good. I missed this side of Threshold hopefully is back in full force.
I hope the classics come back to the lives shows the Mac era needs to come back.
In a moments,Glynn sounds like Mark osegueda from Death angel. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Great singer on this and Psychedelicatessen album!!!
Love this band!!!!!!! One of the best metal bands
Good to see another African in a metal band.
I´m a great Fan of this Band
Just awesome new (old) Singer nails it totally underrated love it
Very sad to see Damian go, but Glynn is doing such a cracking job on the 2 songs I've heard so far. Really looking forward to the new album! :-)
If there's one thing this band will do it is WRITE A FUCKING CHORUS.
They've always had great vocalists but the way they produce the layered vocals for that arena rock effect is first-class no matter who is singing.
The MASTERS of classic rock chorus
An absolute belter of a song.
I discovered them in Barcelona in 1995? they were the warm up band for Enchant and I got in love with their music from the very first moment of that concert.
Love his voice, i love all the singers, but for me Treshold is home again! Love it! :D
The new album is awesome. Thanks, Threshold - best Prog-Metal music release so far this year. Pure power and harmony!
This is such a powerful song it's already one of my favorite songs of all time!!!!!!
best album of the latst ten years !!! please come back at De Kreun Belgium !!!
i'm a damian fanboy and sad that he's gone but i'm not blind to the fact that this is also really kickass. excited for the whole album!
I'm used to the fact that prog metal is usually very pompous and minor, but their guitar completely destroys this misconception.
The power what's THreshold missing .
although I miss Damian Wilson greatly, Glynn has come back firing on all cylinders! this album is going to be a killer
PERFECT replacement! OMG! I love his voice way too much! I'm dreaming away over here.
Fan-fucking-tastic! Ridiculously beautiful melodies, combined with heavy kick-ass guitar tone! Threshold is definitely one of my favourite bands
Awesome stuff...... great to see a UK band to challenge Dream Theatre...........................
Am I the only one that thought the dude was Jason Newsted in the thumbnail?
Chelonia Mydas that's why I clicked the video
Me too
Dude I just saw the video right now and thought the same thing hahaha
Me too)))
Yes
Progressive Metal's best songwriters. I love these guys.
The tone-down changing at the song end it's awesome..
I was not sure about the new vocalist, but this song has won me over
Living with regrets is one of the hardest things in Life, and fighting to overcome them.
LOVE this song. There is such great power, grace, and glory in the true erasing of all sin and regret that they sing of here.
This is fucking amazing, welcome back Glynn!!!!!!!!!!!
the MASTERS of classic rock chorus.
🤟
This album kick ass . What a nice comeback
I love Damian, but Glynn i love too, amazing song, amazing singer!
Retroactivation to the nerve this song is
Fresh and absolutely awesome threshold tune! Great vocals from Glynn!
I was so mad when they kicked Damian Wilson for a second time. He was their best singer. So I didn't even listen to Legend of the shires...but I give it a chance last week. Damn its probably one of the best album ever made in the entire world.
one of thresholds best songs ever, love the lyrics!
A-Fucking-mazing this is what I expected when read about the return of Glynn Morgan knowing what Psychedelicatessen sounded like. Much more powerful as someone already said with the vibes of Andrew era, Has I once said in another video Damian Wilson is superb in a specific registry(mainly with a softer melody that needs a more emotional song like Colophon(one of my favourite songs from damian's era) but lacks the power Glynn and Andrew offer to threshold, that turned difficult for the band to explore some more powerful songs in Damian's time in my idea.
Hope he's right. I really liked March of Progress but for me the album For the Journey sounded too similar and had lack of something different and new. With Glynn returning I was expecting the return in the possible level of what we heard in the 1994 album. Mainly the variation between power and melody we were used with Andrew. So with the songs I heard I'm putting high expectations on the album.
I loved both March and Journey but this is the best single they had in years!
Drevilrodrigues wrote "A-Fucking-mazing this is what I expected when read about the return of Glynn Morgan knowing what Psychedelicatessen sounded like. Much more powerful as someone already said with the vibes of Andrew era"
Agree 100% with that.
For The Journey was a decent album but march of progress is masterful. This new album is very good so far too and I always liked this singer. Threshold always had phenomenal singers which is hard to say for most bands.
For the Journey seemed too me really uninspired, is a good album as Threshold can't do bad albums in my opinion, but compared to March of Progress it was way less attractive to keep hearing and is one of the albums I don't hear much today now, On contrary I still hear and enjoy a lot of March of Progress songs, mainly Rubicon, the Hours and Colophon.
This new album seems pretty solid, from what I already heard, I'm waiting for having the time to buy it in a store I already requested to hear the "Legends of the Shires" again
Seen yesterday in Veruno, Italy. Great concert, master musicians! So much energy, thanks!
The song is longer and even more awesome on the album version!
I just saw them Live in Berlin one of the Best concerts i ve been to the 2 Support Bands were also great Six Days and Damnation Angels or so.
My New Favorite Band.............................Awesome!
Congratulation THRESHOLD and Nuclear. Another amazing song...
Threshold war für mich das Highlight der letzten "70tons of Metal Cruise"! Macht weiter so Jungs. Ihr seit auf dem richtigen Weg. Die Musik ist genial
Brilliant new single, real return to form.
These blokes get heavier and slightly more commercial oriented, so the new "old" voice fits a lot better, I reckon. Keep it up and let's see what's coming out in September. Hope for the good surprise, just as this particular track.
OMG WOOWWW IT'S SUPER AMAZING DAMN AWESOME
THIS SINGLE IS SIMPLY AMAZING
A TRUE MASTERPIECE♥♥♥
THANKS SO VERY MUCH FOR THIS EXCELLENT SHARING LOVE IT
♥♥♥♥♥
Love it - great band and nice one Glyn! Powerful vocals!!
I was half-expecting a return to the extremely dark mood of Psychedelicatessen with Glynn coming back, though I guess most of that was due to Jon's writing. Heading to the record store to preorder my copy today!
Can't stop listening to this song! Love it!
IT'S SIMPLY EASY
THIS IS SICK AMAZING LOVE IT
NO MATTER WHAT THRESHOLD DO EVERYTHING ARE EXCELLENT THE BEST♥♥♥.THANKS FOR THE AWESOME MUSIC AND THE GREAT UPLOAD♥♥
Mamma mia, what a song... The chorus is fantastic!
This is Threshold!!! great Morgan.
Very catchy song for sure. I usually does not like Prog Rock/Metal so much, but Threshold rocks.
This is pheonomenal. Their drummer is so under appreciated. I mean heck they all are. A tight band and excellent songwriters.
This. Threshold are criminally underrated.
