Same here. saw them in 2002 in Buffalo when I was 30
i was but a youngin back then but that was around when I discovered them too. Love these guys. ripe ol 42 now. I still remember my greyhound bus ride, long trip to go to Job corps to change my life. Listened to sevendust almost the whole way there. So much nostalgia.

I discovered them in '98 at 24. I will be 50 in a few weeks. This new album makes me feel exactly as I did when I heard them at 24 (minus the aching back and knees)!
LJ and Clint's harmonizing is only getting better. I love how Morgan's screams are mixed to be more ethereal on this track too, like being yelled at by your inner voice. 7D HAS ARRIVED!
I love how Morgan's face pops up for .5 seconds in every video with him snarling and yelling, like the demon in the exorcist movies.

@@wallofrock6725 In some instances, yes. They've obviously evolved their sound over the years and I'd say the longer they go the better they get, but that's not to say they should forget their roots. Regardless evolution is key to a band's longevity for the most part

Every generation has their Rush, Beatles, Metallica, Genesis, and combo of in between. Point that behind these eras and genres, there were a lot of good IN BETWEENS. I love 7Dust, 5 names? Enemy, Trust, Burned Out, Licking Cream, Bender. AMEN.

Sevendust has that Old Man Strength. Still love Lajon's voice, one of the most underrated vocalists in metal and rock.
He isn't underrated at all if you know metal. That's an uneducated take bud.
Vocals/harmonies from both guitarists are great too on the pre-chorus and the ‘I can be anything’ part (based on what I’ve seen live).

Amazing song. That opening riff is heavy as hell, and then the song only gets better from there. The interplay between the lead and backing vocals is incredibly well done.

Sevendust music is not particularly innovative, but every time they release a new album, I can confidently grab it because I know they will deliver. It's like an old, trustworthy friend who never disappoints. It's the sound of our youth. We are proud sons of the 90's!!
my major gripe is working with elvis AGAIN. Im not a huge fan of his guitar tones there VERY bassy. Watch a guitar play thru of this song. Some SICK little guitar licks that just get buried.

It isn't particularly innovative these days, but it was REALLY fresh when they debuted. It's just that a lot of bands have picked up this style since then. But yeah, they ALWAYS deliver.

Its very innovative lol..Not many had a soulful singer mixed with heavy rock..& look at the bands that have come since they have bn heavily inspired by 7D , like Fire From The Gods..they were pretty damn original back in the day. Now the genre is so mixed, they get lost in the shuffle, but we will ALWAYS love 7D!
Been listening to Sevendust since they hit the radio waves. I used to get pumped up for work listening before I hit the hospital, I was a nurse. 😊 These guys have matured beautifully! Still good looking, Lejon being my personal favorite. They haven't lost their magic! I've always admired ppl that can play an instrument, blend different instruments, play in unison, use their voice in such a way that it inspires, gives ppl chills, makes ppl cry & smile. Meanwhile, I'm lucky I can play a radio. Sevendust has a level of talent that has stood the test of time! I'm 62 & plan on still rockin Sevendust when I'm 72 & possibly even 82! Love these guys & may God bless them for the rest of their lives. ❤

Had HUGE BAGS of weed I brought in my shoes, got to party with these TRULY generous n welcoming brothers !! They were kind n humble enough to let me party with them, Vinny the drummer, the coolest, Best concert ever, then took me backstage to meet Dave Mustain ( Megadeth ) coolest fun loving Awesome Band ever, miss that day !! what gets me is only 113k subscribers? These guys have been in my play lists for years, and probably years to come. I saw them for the first time at Planet Rock, in good ole Fayettenam, NC. They blew the doors off that place. I again saw them main stage ozzfest a few years later, still killed it. I got tickets for my best friend to come with, and we were jamming the 97 album release the whole way there. Good times, to think bands like Godsmack and Incubus were side stage acts. They've put in the sweat and tears over the years, they deserve so much more love then they get.
