In an interview he recently did he said he felt like his voice got stronger. I went back to listen to “Trust” on the “Animosity” album that was released in 2001, and I’d have to agree…but I’m still blown away by that fact since I thought his vocals were unbelievable back then.

I think Truth Killer is going to be one for the ages. So far the singles have been some of the most well written, best produced songs they've ever done. So excited for a whole album of this

Damn, the songwriting is off the charts on this one. Classic Sevendust. Melodic, strong chorus, heavy groovy chunky riffing. I love this song.

Always been there for me… helped me through the death of my first born son at 6 to cancer, helped me through the end of my marriage, helped through tragic moments like mom in a crippling car accident, helped through the loss of my father, & continues to help through the trials of dealing with my second born son’s autism & my bouts w severe anxiety & depression disorder…. I cry as I write this w unending gratitude 🙏🏼

The pre chorus is the part that excited me most. Thats my fav sevendust right there. Heavy, riffy with melody

mine was at the VA Beach amphitheater as well for Luau 3. I remember Lajon doing a flip, falling off the stage and getting right back up to perform like not a damn thing happened.

Same here bud. My favorite memory of them is at the Boathouse in the Summer of 2001 on their Animosity Tour with Drowning Pool, Stereomud and Powerman 5000. Me and my buddies smoked weed with Lajon in the parking lot right infront of Norfolk Cops. He even gave us Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies his mom made for the band. I miss the Boathouse so much. I work across the river and see that empty lot every single day and it makes me sad.
@@jondubeau1469 yea man. boathouse was THE concert venue before it was destroyed. I remember seeing 311 there and got to hang out with Andrew WK when i saw them open for flogging molly.

Nobody writes catchier chorus's than Sevendust and nobody has such a quality vocalist like LJ to pull it off properly. Not to mention the 3 other guys in the band that they trade-off to vocally to perfection. One-of-a-kind band, totally unique sound, nobody sounds like them even though some try. A band so good they can literally change your mood on a dime.
Such an overused statement but truly the most underappreciated, talented, and underrated band of the past 25 years. Never stop, Sevendust.

It's kinda weird. I've been listening to Sevendust since 1997. But I just keep going back to this song Holy Water. Been having it on repeat since yesterday. This song is so good.
It has that Sevendust ballad'y vibe to it, but those two pre-choruses are so groovy. Home-era groovy riffs right there. So, yeah. This song is pretty good. It's up there.
Sevendust and Alter Bridge are the two bands responsible for keeping rock alive and well.
hopefully you went out and saw them on the tour they are on together, it was a great show by both bands

OMG man I really love this one too!! Sevendust never disappoints!! I swear every time I hear a new song from this band I literally get chills and goosebumps...not only cause of how good their music is but cause of how much I adore this band and how much their music has meant to me throughout my 36 years of existence. I have several favorite bands....but there is a special place in my heart shared by Sevendust and Chevelle and I will never get tired of praising these guys for all that they do!! Really digging this song and all of the others...this new album is shaping up to be another epic one. I can't wait!! And once again LJ my dude!! Nobody has a voice like you brother 🖤🤘

The last couple of singles were good but this song is great sevendust has stayed together for so long they no exactly how to do go about there talent.

I don't remember the year, but it was in the 90's. I stumbled on a block party by accident, and these guys were playing. I actually met them during a break. They were selling cd's and I think it was there first one.

Based on these singles so far this has already surpassed "Blood & Stone"(Imo one of the best 7D records)...I'm getting more of a "Black Out the Sun/Kill The Flaw" vibes on this track in particular...

YES! So proud of my dudes for this one! It finally feels like they’re revisiting the vibes they had on SEASONS (their most UNDERRATED record imo), and expanding upon that energy in a modern way. I love the focus on melody while still retaining that razor sharp edge to the song’s foundation. I’m hoping from the few tracks I’ve heard that the album sticks with that style and Truth Killer is essentially Seasons Part 2. 🖤
