Itd be an honor to work barfront or service bar with you! You explain everything with no filler information. All pertinent! In proper order for simple understanding. Direct, simple, polite. Like Bartending in general.
The thing is pouring can also lead to under serving the drink so it'll average out.
Dude, you're the best.
I like your videos very much.
It's like a PhD in Alcoholics.
Thank you for making these videos.
im starting my bartending training tonight and binge watching all of your videos! thank you so much! hopefully ill look like less of a derp now :D
Like a walk in the park...honestly the hardest part will be realizing it's actually pretty simple... just like hangin' out making drinks for friends! Have fun!
Do you work in new York?
That soda gun is the coolest thing ever!
Gonna watch your videos and "Lie" my way into a bar job. Fuck going to school for it.
So helpful, THANK YOU!!!! This is the stuf that's so basic, I was trouble even finding a video on it!
I'm glad you're getting value, that's why I'm here.
I start bartending school July 23rd and I've been watching alot of your videos to get a headstart. And have learn alot
Right on, have fun! Keep us posted about how it goes!
Just finished my first week ever tending bar. And this video helped out so much thanks!
Totally helpful & straight to the point!
Great video, appreciate it! well done.
If I'm bartending for 800 years I need to evaluate my life choices. Dope videos thanks for posting.

Thanks bud!!! I applied at a pub in town. Fingers crossed!!
excellent delivery dude... no bullshit
thanks so much, you're a great teacher.. very clear and concise.
Yep, that is the perspective where the current round of videos being shot are taken. Stay tuned!
I learn so much from your videos!! :) thank you
BartendingPro thank you so much for doing these videos. You don't even understand how much of a lifesaver you are. I am 23 years old. I grew up in bars as a kid and my family owned restaurants. With that being said, I got my fill of bars so I actually don't drink or spend times in bars now that I am of age. I have been working as a bank teller for a big name bank busting my ass for crap pay with endless promises of a promotion. We are going on 2 years so I quit and tried to remember which jobs I loved the most. Food & Beverage. I have had a summer job bartending the last 2 years but that was literally Jack and Coke and super simple stuff like that. So anyways, with my very limited experience of making drinks, I got a bartending job. I have noticed bartending is an exclusive group and you need to prove yourself before you accepted. I was given minimal training and then thrown straight in on a saturday night. I got by the first night but the next saturday I was 100% alone of my half of a 55 ft bar. It was a shit show. It was only my 4th shift but now its either make it or break it. Thanks to you I feel like I have shot and I can prove myself! Thanks a ton!
800 years. LOL. That's Yoda range. Pour customers drinks gladly I will.
very good job sir, very informative and well explained
Jason it's been a while but I had to re-watch your vids for some refresher! I'm no longer in Cali i'm down in Florida now! Thanks ever so much Dude! I so appreciate your vids to this day! Congrats (I know it's been since September but still congrats!) and enjoyed the vid from your pal stopping by about a month ago to talk to a REAL bartender (Like your not! )
Actually forgot about the week long training! ok Cheers for now!
Thanks! That was alot of help
Great info, been watching a lot of your videos, thanks. You should offer In person classes, to make extra money on the side, it’d probably be fun for you also.
Thank you you have truly saved me $500 forever grateful for your videos
Thank you!!
this is an amazing guide and youtube page for bartending im fixing to start my first bartending job after bartending school sunday so im studying and freshing up on the knowledge ty for this guide
Thanks man, congrats on the gig!
excellent.
Cool. I didn't know you had a store, I thought it was all online bartender training. I will check it out.
I realize I don't really mention a jigger outright in this video, however I do have it others and it is important for people to know about them...maybe I'll make a quick video about them soon. But to your point about over pouring, it depends on the establishment. I've worked (and currently work) at a place where the owner (IMO) is SMART enough to let us pour drinks *good*...this alone keeps people coming back. Yeah you're PC is a little higher, but increase in sales exponentially makes up for it
I am in the process of opening a bar in downtown Toledo. I am having a real problem knowing where to put coolers, glassware etc. i have learned from your videos, and I thank you for that. But still confessed to the set up of my equipment. any suggestions?
George
Hey man whats up, im pretty much of a newbie in all this bartending stuff, i would like to know where i can contact you, cos im really learning a lot in your videos, keep up with the good work!!
I'm looking too buy a shaker too use at home. There are so many different styles which would you suggest?
Standard aluminum, basic mixing tin/shaker tin combo. Check my blog, the bartendingblueprint(dot)com...in the navigation there is a link to our bar store, anything in there will work fine!
u rule man!!!!
Omg this is the best work place ever I work in a bar and it’s nothing in order
what size mixing tin should i purchase for my home bar?
i know most bars have the glass up high, but what if your on the short side and cant reach them well. I dont even reach 5 foot but really want to start learning bar tending
do you have any tips for memorizing recipes???
I'm looking too purchase a shaker too use at home. There are so many different styles which is confusing. What type would you recommend?
Can you recommend any good pouring spouts? I bought two for home use from a local liquor store, but they were such horrible quality that they wouldn't stick completely in a regular 750 ml bottle, they kept popping out half way, they released the alcohol very slowly so pour counts were useless, and on one the plastic part separated from the metal spout! I'm thinking of buying from the internet this time, but I don't want this to happen again.
What size juice bottles are bartenders using? 1 qt or 2 qt?
Standard. Go to the full site, bartendingblueprint(dot)com and click on the "Bartending Supplies" link in the top navigation bar. Anything you'll need...
Not usually a big deal...just ask one of your taller coworkers. But definitely be ready to get hassled about it all the time, all in good fun of course ;)
I think u're confusing technical jargon (1st part you mentioned), with co-worker lingo (2nd part). I don't know the exact rules or laws about breaking a bottle to prevent pouring liquor back into empty bottles, I do know it's illegal to pour or combine bottles (even the same exact brand; called "marrying", and yes most bars do that with the same brand bottles anyway) in most states. Breakage IN the ice is breaking a glass into it & needing to "burn" or melt and replace all the contaminated ice.
Soda gun "A real calming tool"
+bravebinary bullet² (bravebinarybullet) I think he said "common tool."
Hello. I am creating a Cocktail mixing game for mobile phones or tablets. I was wondering if we could talk sometime, since I am in my research phase in order to make a fun and intuitive, yet close to reality game.
Absolutely, contact me through the bartendingblueprint (dot) com site!
I'm getting to be pretty anal about bartending. My question is, what is breakage? I found two definitions, one that is based on the US law of bartenders having to break empty bottles as to not pour cheaper liquor into the bottle and the other is breaking any glassware which could contaminate the ice and having to switch out the ice. An end to this debate would really come in handy. Thanks a bunch for all your hard work.
I have been bartending for 10 years in europe, i have never seen those salt/sugar rim things. The lime juice in a sponge seems kind of disgusting, how often do you change it? Were i live we just take fresh lemon and rub it on the rim of the glass, so the salt/sugar doesnt go in to the drink. You should always do the rims on the outside of the glass
Yeah, definitely an American thing in Mexican restaurants, people go crazy for their salt here. Changed twice daily, and fresh lime juice ensures nothing nasty in there. Best practice is throw out the sponge altogether to be honest. But you're 100% correct, "proper" drink building would never have salt inside the rim/into the drink whatsoever. This was also waaaaaay back in early days when I didn't know much about this industry. And only after stepping away from the chaotic extreme high volume establishments after all these years am I learning to respect the deep origins, recipes and craft side of this job. Thanks for sharing!
You're awesome
Thank you!!
BartendingPro Are you going to make new videos?
Jeremy Cross Yes...I have been away because of big changes happening in life (about to get married, bought my first condo, started back in school to finish my business degree) but still behind the bar and have some new stuff coming soon!
But the bottom line @SerbianCobra, until you have a job, none of this matters. Focus your attention and efforts on securing employment, THEN you can trip on the minuet details.
Question: Some bartenders make drinks infront of customers and some make drinks were the customers cant see, like under the bar or behind it, why is this?
I go to a bartender school but CZcams school is good to
