In this video, Rick Uzubell from Cabaret Design Group, begins the discussion by pointing-out that selecting properly-sized bar equipment is daunting, as there are numerous widths and two standard depths for nearly every piece of equipment. But what are the key sizes a do-it-yourself bar designer should use? Rick reviews the primary design criteria of his sketch, titled “2018 Universal Bar Clearances with ADA”. Furthermore, Rick points out that the speed rail is an essential element to nearly every bar design and that all bar equipment utilizing speed rails should be 19” deep and all other equipment should be 24”. In this manner, consistent bartender aisles can be maintained. Using the above tips and ideas will enable the aspiring do-it-yourself bar designer to layout equipment for nearly any commercial bar or man cave.
