- In this Sims themed video I showcase 13 interesting The Sims 2 details and facts you should know. I can't believe it's been almost 3 months since the last Sims 2 details episode. I'm positive this is by far the longest I've ever gone between two episodes. This channel was pretty much just a Sims 2 detail showcase channel at one point but over the past few months I've been experimenting with different types of content and the results have been amazing. Not only did the views stay more or less the same, but it also seems that you've been enjoying my other content too, which is great and I'm super grateful for all the support. :)

All hail the dear leader.
The last fact reminded me that I once read that if a child catches their parent cheating, they will cry and alert the other parent. I haven't tried it out at all.
One thing I do know is that when a child catches their parents/one of their parents fighting, they will run to another room and throw a tantrum. They may also cry, which will have the fighting parent go and console them after fight.
The zombie aging oddity also applies to vampires.
So here's another oddity. Zombies cannot get pregnant. However, if a pregnant sim dies and gets resurrected as a zombie, the pregnancy will continue and they'll eventually give birth as a zombie. Like always, the child is still a human.
Ah, the crying reminded me of another thing. If your sim paints a picture and sees another sim give a negative reaction to it, they'll go near the painting and cry.

I love that after playing this game for 16 years I still find some things that I don't know and surprise me.

I once had it happen that the parents talked about woohoo and the kid walked in with their plate to join the parents at the dinner table, then the parent pulled a shocked face and switched the subject to something more kid friendly :D

I don't know how you get bad examples of friends coming over. For me they are always suspiciously close. Nina would always bring Dina (to Don's house, ouch), Don wpuld always bring a love interest (to Nina and Dina's house, double ouch) etc.
Maybe it's the case for some premades? My sims from custom neighbourhoods always bring someone random.
In my game I get a mix of close relationships and total strangers. It keeps it interesting!
I love this content the most, you're sao amazing for finding new things it must be hard to find more and more however thankfully The sims 2 is like a mine full of undiscovered details :)
This shows that Sims 2 was way better than Sims 4 even with a lower quality. They made things which would break the Sims 4 if you try it there even the quality is better except the bugs.

I had a sim that had painted a picture of his wife. After she died he would frequently go and check out her portrait and then sigh. Also if other sims went and checked it out and then laughed he'd go over and sigh.
Wtf I've been playing this game on and off for years, and had no idea you could have 3way convos. And some other details. I didn't think I would learn anything new from this video, but I'm actually surprised 😲
I have a couple:
1) If an adult or child is in the same room as a baby, and the baby happens to go in their diaper while the child or adult is there, the child or adult will lecture the baby 😂 I assume teens will do the same thing, but I have not tested this.
2) If a parent who lost their lover or spouse remarries, the children from the remarriage will react negatively towards seeing their parents being romantic with one another. This honestly might be a glitch on my end, but interesting nonetheless.
1) I think that that's a special thing that happens with sims who have 7 or more Neat points! I've had it happen on every playthrough of the Curious household (especially with Pascal & Vidcund's kids) without fail, but not really with any other families with babies I've played

the fact that kids actually respond to cheating in this is nice. in sims 4 i don't even know if the spouse responds to you cheating on them LOL. they're just like. oh well. i remember in sims 3 that you could be accused of cheating. heck, one of my sims even autonomously broke up with someone in sims 3! which i didn't even know they could do until then.
There's a mod that adds the name of the friend to the dialogue when someone ask to bring them over. I also think there's a mod or something to fix the random acquaintance thing, too. My sims always bring people they actually know. Usually other sims of mine.

Because of your videos I downloaded The Sims 2 again. It's incredible how a game from so many years ago probably still has details we don't notice yet

On point, as always Marq :o) P.S: yesterday, i've played with a sim of mine when the next scene happened. My sim took the newspaper and read it outside, sitting on a garden chair. A few seconds later came Olive Specter and riss out of his hand, ran away with it, i was in shock for a few seconds. And my sim screamed after her, with the finger pointing and arguing.

I’ve noticed that when sims are indoors, their voices have a little echo when they speak. When they are outside, it goes away!
Stuff like this makes me think about trying Sims 2. I bought the base game and didn't like how aging worked, and then I got slammed with that invisible npc bug. So I went back to Sims 1. But 2 exists out there for free now, and it looks like it has just as much attention to detail as Sims 1.
Use mod or cheat to prevent aging. I have 3 of sims games. I love both of them dearly
So the part about the paintings, reminded me that you can also do that with the music files. You can add all of your own music into the game. This will play depending on the file its placed into. You can put them into build mode, buy mode, or whatever radio station you plan on listing to. This is also available to do in sims 3 and 4 I believe.

I found a detail you might know already, but when a sloppy sim is eating Chinese food they’ll just dump it into their mouth unlike sims that arnt sloppy which they will just use the chopsticks

When sims go "nuh nuh Nuh" I go red with anger. Like death by pool red.
If a sim breaks an electronic appliance while another sim (household) witnessed it, the other sim will lecture them and their relationship will take a negative hit.

Same! I wonder what the trigger is, maybe just a single-sim household? Everytime I do university I have multiple sims together and I've never seen this cutscene play.

I have problem with The sims 2 ultimate collection. I downloaded from origin and in the first place everything was fine but second time when I tried to play with random family from game its says error and kicked me out of the game . Anyone had the same problem and found solution ?
