@@m.o.t7283 That’s right I think he should’ve been made boss. From all accounts he had all the makings of a boss. What I did like about him though was how loyal he was. If he did feel some type of way about not being made boss, he never expressed it and stayed deadly loyal to the structure of Cosa Nostra. Even when John was telling him how unfair it was, he never once agreed with John. Gotta respect that!!

I agree. There really should be a film about him. He was the most successful Casa nostra boss of all. Even lucky got pinched a bunch of times and eventually got kicked out of the country. Carlo somehow managed to treacherously and strategically get his way to the top without getting killed or ending up in prison himself. He was a single greatest godfather. Some people argue Tony Accardo was the same level but I disagree. New York at the end of the day was ithe main power at that time and Carlo Gambino was head of the commission.
