    --------
In this clip, Larry Mazza explained why he doesn't consider himself a mass murderer or a serial killer despite the host of killings under his belt. He also discussed how he felt about Scarpa's passing in the early '90s and why he only received a 10-year sentence for his crimes.

Serial Killer implies you are mentally ill in some way, it doesn't simply relate to the number of people you kill. Most serial killers kill for some vicarious thrill, this guy kill as it was part of his job. His sniper analogy was apt. You wouldnt call a sniper a serial killer.

Mob guys are soldiers LITTERALLY just like soldiers in the army. They don't kill innocent civilians like the crops n bloods or aryans, they kill each other when they break the rules of Cosa Nostra and when a war breaks out between a family or with another of the 5 families in New York. All 3 of the Columbo wars from the 60-90s were all internal wars so ya Mazza in my eyes can't be classified as a serial killer unless an army soldier can as well

I worked for Scarfo and Leonetti. Phil Leonettit brought down/convicted/imprisoned over 200 made members of their 'family' connections and he got 5 years, and now he lives a stones throw from me on the west coast (recently heard on youtube - by his own account).
Larry realized that this too was a part of the game they play - saving yourself, by sacrificing others. I was lucky to get out of their sick and twisted world before they killed me, even though I was put on 'the list' of people who needed to be terminally dealt with because I said 'no' to being extorted for a portion of my earnings as a concrete worker for Scarf Inc.
Now, theyre all dead, in jail, or like Phil, an opportunistic turncoat, who once enjoyed the life that he lived, but now acts like his uncle was the first born spawn of the devil himself and everything was his fault. Phil too, was a real piece of work, but he got to walk away scot-free, by blaming everything on his uncle. He could have done what Chris Scarfo did and walke away, and gone legit, but Philip doesnt want anyone to realize that he was just as culpable as his uncle. Phil loved his life and the power that it brought until the piper showed up and said it's time to pay up. He's still going to hell when he takes his last breath for all the things he himself has done.
I hope you read this Phil.
    Signed,
    "Rembrandt"
(my nickname given to me by Nicky himself - because I was so good at finishing concrete - and as you know Phil, nicknames were a big thing with Nicky)
I know you remember me Phil, you theiving, lying, murderous... and in the words of your own uncle, weasel-rat-fink.
Still going strong huh? Giving interviews, writing books.... I hope you live to a 100. Chin don, Phil. Because, a long life means nothing to an eternal residence in damnation, paying for YOUR sins, where by the way, your uncle will probably pick you up at the airport 'down there.'
Good luck in Hell, because there are going to be a lot of souls down there looking to get retribution for what you did to them and their families, just to save yourself. You earned what you'll get.

Mazzas comparison is spot on, you can't call a sniper in the army a serial killer for all there death counts in war bcuz there doing a job...
