Lol I just started watching these Vlad interviews not to long ago I never liked that you couldn’t watch a full interview it came out in parts. That’s what took me so long on watching his shit. How can you go against what Franzeses says. There’s literally plenty of FBI documents that shows him as a capo, his financial situation is well documented.
My guess is he is playing down his situation. I’m willing to bet he killed at least one guy himself, and certainly had plenty of guys killed.
No one calls him a fraud for the money he made the family. The only ones calling him anything was John and Gene didn’t believe he ever murdered anyone and only made it on his dad’s reputation, but neither of them are in that family, and neither of them were made, so they wouldn’t have a clue

Out of all these mafia "characters" my favorite is Michael Franzese. Calm, composed, used his head more than anything else and was a freakin' money machine.
As a person, I like him. He's articulate and intelligent but I think the whole "born again Christian thing" though is a bit of a front. Not only is it a huge money making racket for him, but he doesn't come off as a tough guy, and a lot of - and I'm not saying Michael is this way, just a lot of guys who do this -people in jail who aren't cut out for it claim to "turn to God" and become religious whilst inside. People with bad charges do this too (and Michael was known as an informant, whether he testified in court or not) but anyone who's done time will tell you that people who usually become massively religious in prison are ones who aren't cut out for it.
Obviously there are genuine cases, but Michael seems too intelligent not to see the whole preaching thing as a tax-exempt racket that's legal (although some things those Evangelist and Baptist preachers do, especially televangelists, in regards to conning their congregations is fiercely immoral.
