It was insensitive of the church to have gone ahead with the birthday party. They should have postponed it until after the burial. For a man who contributed so much for development of the church, they should have acted more sensiby. The choir department of my church cancelled a proposed New Year party because a member of the choir died few days to the party. We cancelled the party to show respect late woman.

You are wrong. Celebrate and Mourn later

@@temitayoatanda8588 At least we all can see the result of their celebrating first and mourn later has gotten them into. It has tarnished the reputation of Redeemed Church. If your assertion is right, why didn't the family invite the his church to the wake keep or include them in the planning committee. Even the Bible says, it's better to be in a place of mourning. I insist that his church should have been sober and mourned first and have the party later. If you were to be in the shoes of family of the deceased, what will be your reaction to the church. Am not referring to the church headquarters but the church he and his family was attending directly. For crying out loud, it wasn't one member that died. I come in peace.

The so-called “spiritual leaders” have revealed their true colours & the congregation should believe & learn from what has transpired. If a person who supported the church immensely can be treated with such insensitivity, what about you.
We all need to wake up. The birthday celebration was a clear indication of no deep relationship, care, concern or compassion. Whatever they seem to have had was pure pretence. Disappointing and heartbreaking.

Are those pastors really spiritual leaders? Are you just a spiritual leader because you run a beautiful building with the creme de lá creme in the society assembling every Sunday to sing and dance and entertain yourselves, does that make them spiritual leaders. NO. We all now know better, they are patorprenures. Catering for their interest and their families. Up till now even after the public outcry, there are still no apologies. What a world.

The wife is 60, if it was a biological family member would they have gone ahead with the celebration because it was planned?
Please let's do more as the body of Christ.
    Wrong is wrong please.

3 people from the same family will die in a church and the church pastor and members will behave as if nothing happened. That will be very strange
