- The Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini is the compact ATX case we've been waiting for. In this review of the O11 Mini we take a look at how it can function as an ITX case and ATX case with very few sacrifices. We also go through the O11 Mini size, dimensions, airflow characteristics, price and availability since this might be one of the best PC cases of 2020. But how is the PC O11 Mini vs O11 Dynamic competition?

This might be the only channel where I don't skip past their promotional section at the start, they're always so well done
Haha B-Roll go Brrt
ugh, mice with holes in them... I hope it doesn't stay a fad :(
@@IcarusTECH have you even tried them?
@@toxicturkeyy yes, I hate the ones I've tried. Hence my comment ;)
My personal favorite promotional section is the ifixit from jayz2cents
Hello good Dimitri, I'm people.

As always, I just love Drimiti reviewing cases even if I've got no intention of buying that case. That's how good he is.
WOOO! Sadly this year hasn't been great for cases but hope it picks up soon!
@@HardwareCanucks I'm so happy you replied!!!I just ;love you, been watching you past many years :)))
So true, orginal o11 review made me purcase the XL version. Casual but still take care to talk about the small things. Not 10min with test graph, that can I look at if I am going to purcase it.
@@HardwareCanucks Really? :(
@@riba2233 Yeah, you'd think this is a great year for cases. Multiple companies finally dropped the ridiculous obsession with solid metal panels or tempered glass and created great airflow focused cases. Lian Li, Phanteks, etc... all produced great stuff.
If anyone from Lian Li is watching this, I would suggest that you make your cases available in Pakistan. There is no dealer who imports your cases. Corsair, Thermaltake have the major market share. Here we have to pay about 200% premium for importing a case through Amazon.
Yes I'm from Pakistan too
And you are 100% right
I'm 99% sure the most of the subcontinent has the same problem, so I would appreciate them doing this as well.
@@ajayadhisankar4139 You are lucky that amazon operates legally there
@@ghazankhan7600 Good luck, A4tech and audionic for you. Brands that inspire you to jump off from a roof or puke
It is astonishing to see how hardware is so limited here, what is borderline mediocre and cheap, is being sold as the premium standard around here. No variety in casings, PSUs, and major quality peripherals.
Dmitri: You are not buying this case for air performance
Steve at GN: SACRILEGE!!!!
I love how far cases have come in the last 2 years: the O11 was one of the best cases airflow wise in 2018, despite being designed for water-cooling, and now it's successor is near the bottom of the performance charts on air.*
*Which is fine because it is clearly designed for bottom to top flowing watercooling
My man i've waited all year for this review.
I have been waiting for this review, loved your content since day 1.
I'm glad they made this case, my wife and I love the o11 dynamic but wanted something smaller and here it is.
Dimitry and Eber always gave good solid reviews and pretty sure this is the only channel where i don’t yawn at all.
Keep up the great work team !
Very nice case. Love these case reviews. They cover so many aspects of user scenarios and this case looks lovely. Only reason for me to not want this case is the smaller PSU accommodation.
Almost the perfect case for me. 😁
Great review! 👍👍
I seriously love this case and it's versatility. Seems like the perfect case for future proofing.
SFX power supply requirement is the downer for me.. Would rather been slightly bigger and use a regular sized PSU since its not a compact chassis as it is..
Yeah... SFX is a lot less in stock these days. I think a lot of people overlook that.
@@narajung7186 not to mention they're quite a bit more expensive relative to an ATX equivalent PSU (at least whenever I've looked)
Yup not many SFX power supply can powered up 3 pin RTX3080 with 450Watt bios because its transient power peak sometimes at 800++ watt
@Steps for real though, I have quite a few nice 140MM fans, and would build in one of the O11 cases in a heartbeat if they fit a triple 140MM
@@MaxNorde lmao. Just use two PSU. Madman
Great review. I wish I'd seen it before I assembled mine last week! I'm running an ATX motherboard without the extension you showed, and I have a side fan that can be relocated too. Looks like I have some changes to make.
One thing I'll point out to others is if you are only running M.2 storage then the vertical SSD panel and the drive cage can both be easily removed to leave more room for cable routing, which is what I did.
I kind of like how with one case you could evolve the system over time from ITX to full ATX, not really a fan of front glass but still looks clean AF.
thank you for being the only reviewer that talks about air cooling CPU.
I was hoping you'd do a couple of builds showing AIOs, especially with ATX
Really interesting take on this great case with some valid critique!
Love the case like you guys. Keep doing awesome Content.
Didn't know these existed until now, very happy to see a cheap case with a lot of modular options. Might snag this for my ITX build
Great review! Love that they made a mini version, although I am not a fan of some of the design choices made like that handle and the front I/O being on the top. Not to mention that overhang when using an ATX mobo. I also prefer the case slits on the original O11 versus the small circles on this. I feel like unless you very specifically need a small form factor case, the original O11 is absolutely the better option for not much more money. It's still a great compact size, and the overall design is cleaner imo. But I always love seeing options, and I LOVE the modularity of the back of this mini case! I think more cases should definitely incorporate something like that.
Personally though, I already have the original O11 and have no reason to switch to literally anything else, especially a mini version of what I think is a perfect case.
The line style air intakes from the normal O-11D look so great. I don't understand why they go this boring hole beside hole design on the Mini and then also use other different patterns so nothing matches at all. However, it's a cool case and the price is fantastic for what you get.
Wonderful review as always from you, guys!
Ahhh finally. I've been waiting for this case to come out....It's my next build!
Looks sick- really considering this mainly as smaller as the original and so flexible will suit my needs for a long time to come.
Thanks Dimitri! Been waiting since the announcement, now must wait longer because I’m in Canada
ive been waiting for this exact video since it was launched at ces 2020
Pre-ordered today then I see this review. Well chuffed.
already reserved mine in caseking the first day it came out, for me it's the perfect case.
Was WAITING for THIS! Saw this in Geer Seekers too and also was waiting for your review!💯
Actually I like Gear Seekers review way more. Imo this is the most pointless case in the whole year

Great review!
ive been watching ur videos for a while now .... didnt realize i wasnt subbed $$$$ got you thoooo
Just pre ordered mine supposed to ship January 13th. This is my 1st pc build coming from console. I’m excited.
Worth noting for prospective buyers. The Black version and the (snow) white versions have a very specific difference inbetween them. The White cases have a fully aluminum white top.
The black version however as that the right strip with the front I/O is covered with a acryllic plate to give it a shine. Acryllic unfortunately is rather soft and very easy to scratch. It is worth to take that in consideration. (The newer AIR version does not have acryl, it uses brushed alluminum look on all versions, also does not require a SFX Supply)
This is the best case . Just perfect for my setup ❤️
Great review. I like that my Corsair 280X can support micro ATX and a full size power supply. If this could take a full size power supply I would be tempted.
Lighting compositions in this channel is SPECTACULER!
good review my friend awesome case!!!
Great video, although it would have been nice to see a bit more information on the airflow properties of this case and differences with air vs water cooled setups.
I was very pleased with how my 011D Evo turned out and wanted one of these for another build but they seemed to be unobtanium after the Air Mini came out. I finally tracked one down (and for a reasonable price) and can't wait to replace the Jonbro D31 I ended up using with this.
Amazing video 😊
Nice video. Can you please review the be quiet! Silent Base 802?
Wow the color of the wall in the "thumbnail" of your video is sick and reminds me of the color on my walls in my room
27 seconds into this... GREAT audio holy shit. I feel like so many people skimp on poopoo quality music for their videos. Got an easy thumbs up from me
I would swap to this case but dont wont to buy a sfx psu :( they only had to make the case 1 cm wider, what a downer :(
yeah, this would be bestseller if it had ATX PSU support.
Easy just take the case off the PSU.... Don't actually do this
If they did, then it'll become the regular O11 Dynamic... ROFL!
SFX-L fit in. You can get them up to 850W!
its quite wide as low atx mid tower
Dimitri, you need to put 3 140 top and bottom in a case like this to talk airflow. It's meant to be a convection orientated case. Otherwise excellent video, as always. Cases with 3 bottom fans usually offer very significant GPU temps gains. It is also an ideal case to fit in the ice giant thermosyphon. PS: Fits SFX-L.
Hey dimitri , nice video
Plz review the meshify 2 as well..
Thanks //
I'm in love with this case
I thought I saw Chris Pratt and spacy colours. Is this the set of the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie? 😉
Great review! Keep up the good work! 👍
I've been waiting so long for this case :))))))))))))))))))
I see you had a Corsair sf600, did you have the platinum one and if yes, have the pcie and eps cable been long enough for big gpus and a atx Mainboard?
Hey I would really appreciate some help deciding, do I go with the HP Omen 15 with the i7 10750H and 2060, the Lenovo Legion 15i with the same specs for $130 more or the Razer Blade Base with the same specs for $300 more than the omen. Is Razer's build quality worth that premium? Thanks :)
Thanks for the review. Is it possible to mount a 360 AIO at the top in an ATX configuration?
i have a question: if you put one radiator on the top and one on the bottom, can you fit an ekwb flt 240 flat reservoir with d5 pump in the slots on the right? it is 86mm thick
Would it be ok to have just a 240 mm aio and just three fans or would I need more? If I only need that what also is the best configuration for the fans and aio?
I was pretty much sold until SFX PSU. Don’t want to have to buy a new PSU
Same, I thought "yes finally the perfect case" but the. SFX PSU sadly. Still a nice case though
yeah...i've got a RMi1000. Can't fit it in there
Was my only hesitation as well but in the end I caved and bought an SFX, I can always sell my old modular ATX psu or have a spare rig already wired and ready to go.
@@ChristianStJulian Yeah i could do that too but i nearly just bought a plat certified 850 watt seasonic here a half year ago. I really don't feel like changing that
@@12ws12ws12ws Yea I hear that, maybe look at the original o11 dynamic again. Its not too much bigger and can take the ATX psu all day
Very nice video, but I would have liked a more direct (size) comparison with the non-mini version of this case
I'm still waiting for Seasonic new Syncro case and the psu review, looks dope for me
So ordering one!!
Still stoked on this case...
I want a dark tempered glass version of this.
Hi Dimitri, I saw in the manual that with ATX config bottom 140mm fans have only 20mm clearance. Can you confirm this? Kind of a bummer as most are like 25mm.
I’m so excited for it. Idk if I should get the white or black one
Would you recommend modding this case for an ATX motherboard and a 360mm AIO?
@Rowan According to Optimum Tech's video on the case, the 360mm aio and full-size fans does physically fit, but I'm not sure if an entirely new panel is needed, or just drilling some holes.
I see that the front feet which hold the lower dust filter can be removed. Can the back feet be removed? If so, you might be able to switch the feet thus the lower dust filter will point toward the back of the case
i already pre-ordered mine, i've read a lot of reviews and comments, and the general consensus is that people are mad that they don't know what the case is optimised for. It doesn't need to be optimised for anything, it's giving options at each level, atx, matx, it might not get the best temps or whatever but it looks sick, its a good option for people who want a o-11 case but don't want a huge case. six power unit but who cares? in general i think this case is for people who's going to build there first pc or an enthusiast who wants to build a sick custom loop.
I like the overall dimensions of the case a lot. The space I keep my PC in is poorly suited for deep cases but can easily accommodate width and height. I had to turn my old mid-tower sideways, which meant that the cables coming out the back were all too visible. I don't like the the fact that this case requires an SFX power supply. I'd also prefer four front USB ports to three, but three is technically adequate for my needs.
I'm planning to get this case but the only issue is finding an sfx psu that is not expensive. Any 750w psu suggestions for this case? I only found Corsair SF750 SF which is 158 euros here in Germany.
Hello good Dimitri,
For be perefect to me is support ATX PSU (non SFX).
Any alternatives that support ATX and same similar case dimensions ??
This case is insane
Great video drillitri. 2 things really sad, pcie-3 riser and sfx PSU only... So sad 🥺
Love you man
Hey Dimitri- Any chance you guys will do an overview of the Meshify 2 XL?
Planning on using this case for my $3000 build in the far future
Doed a normal power supply fit? I get it its an SFX .. but can we drill holes would it fit sizewise?
Hello Bro can you help me out?
Can i put a GTX 1050ti on gtx 1050ti on gtx 1050ti on asus P5G41T-M LX3 motherboard? If it's not supported, then what's the maximum supported graphics card that this motherboard can support?
(Without any bios updates BTW)
With an atx motherboard will it fit a 240mm aio on top without ram clearance issues?
What about the full fans supported installed test? The case can populate 10 fans plus cpu cooler fans if air cooled and with that im pretty sure temps get much better than just with 3. Also comparing with other cases with just 3 fans and full supported fans installed as well would be nice.
Hey, im a noobie when it comes to pc parts, and I was wondering what is the best cpu for Asus Cerberus GeForce GTX 1050? Preferably under 130 usd.
I really liked the O11D as a case in theory but had no reason to justify the footprint. This is perfect as it keeps the same design but makes it an SFF ATX case. Extremely unique, tons of flexibility. I'll likely be picking this one up and replacing my original Phanteks Evolv
Looks like another great case from Lian-Li.
I heard there was a comparability issue with that MOBO and case regarding the USB 3.2 Gen type c front panel port. That MOBO doe's not have sufficient USB 3.2 or Gen 1 headers to support the type c port on the case. Can anyone give some incite on this issue ?
It's so adorable I NEEED IT. But I can't find it anywhere, not even sold out listings, was it even released to the general public?
Probably will use this for my next build, which could be a while since large SFX power supplies are difficult to find right now, and also can't even find a 3080.
german guy who actually makes the best cases der 8auer
Will there be a bigger version of the O11D XL that can support 10 140mm fans?
3 side, 3 bottom, 420 rad top, 1 rear.
Omagooooood this case it’s dope!
Does this case really good airflow pr just good space look thanks 🤗
Can you swap feet from side to side and get filter handle on the back side?
looking at the LIAN LI O11D MINI for my msi mag tomahawk / aorus 360 liquid cooler but it shows in the diagram that if i use a atx there wont be enough clearance for my radiator. would there be anyway i could move the atx down alittle to "slot 5" and not use all the case posts for the mobo ?
basically what im asking is can i move the atx down farther then the retailer suggests?
im hypothesising that if you only run one bottom intake fan closer to the front of the case it may add clearance for the bottom half of the atx in the case if you put a atx in slot 5, or maybe its possible to mount in-between the slot 5 and 7
id like to top mount
They should do a remastered version of the original 011 with these new modularity features and other new improvements.
Does it have good airflow? Low temperatures?
will a mdtx board fit in the case?
Can I put big graphic card into this. Like for example Saphire Radeon 5700?
it just seems like a regular-sized ATX case with an sfx psu, bit confused, would rather just go for the regular dynamic
People love this case so much they just keep remaking it in different sizes.
@@SoterDave its a great case. It fix my EATX.
Worth noting that the regular O11D is a good bit bigger than the average mid tower so this is a good mid tower sized version. Also its really designed for water cooling, so they prioritized that over size.
It is a short ATX case. A lot of people want mini-ITX or mATX purely because they fan fit in places where is only height limited, rather than necessarily need a very small PC in all dimensions. Being ATX means they have more versatility on Mobo choices.
Can a air cooler fit on your cpu while having a vertical gpu(2070super founders)?
I'd like to see how it does if you fill all the fan slots - like that video you did on the regular O11. Might be interesting, would at least be funny.
The only other option then to have ATX in a compact case is the Meshify C mini and use a Dremel to let the card go through the PSU shroud and fit only and SFX-L ^^
Does pretty well from other videos I've watched. Those bottom intake slots can drop a GPU by like 10 degrees C if you stick fans in em.
@@Xfacta12482 I trust you, and I agree bottom intake is priceless on a GPU, but I cannot help thinking that from an airflow perspective this case would be far better with front intake instead of side intake which is very inefficient (the air is not pushed to the GPU and MoBo directly and needs a 90 degree turn...).
Can you still populate the top with fans if you're running an atx build?
The sfx power supply is killing me! But i want this damn case!!!
What psu do you have because mine is too big to fit in the back ?
I love the Hyperx product placement
