You can tell this father was singing from his heart and emotions for his daughters. Thank goodness his mum and daughters tricked him to go to the show. He was fantastic and emotional from start to finish. I even started crying at this. In my opinion, he should have received the golden buzzer. He deserved it.

I’ve watched this many times now and it always has the same effect, floods of tears. I have two sons but I totally get the lyrics as they are as important and loved as this wonderful loving caring gentleman’s daughters are to him.

This really makes me cry. My dad passed away when I was 13. I will never experience the feeling with him walking me down the aisle, checking my boyfriend or getting angry when I come Home far too late. I tried to keep him alive in my memories for the past 19 years and I am trying to continue. Such a lovely song and a wonderful Dad enjoying the precious moments with his daughters. ❤️
Heartbreaking to hear you lost your dad at 13 & m so sorry you won't get to experience thoes precious things with him here but he is always viewing. God bless you. My dad passed also at home unexpectedly in my arms 3 days before Christmas in 99 & it's such a terrible loss.

Yes definitely. My dad died during a hiking trip. It was a sunny sunday in october '03. My mother, my older brother (18) and my dad (54) left in the morning and I was staying at home alone. Had to tidy my room and did not want to go hiking that day. Three left in the mornings and only two of them came back in the evening. My Brother and my Mum had to see him falling down a canyon - not possible to save him. I'm glad I did not have to experience this feeling. Later the day the Police found his body and I hope he did not notice a lot of it or any severe pains. He was hit on his head by a falling stone and was unconcious when he fell. Always difficult when loved ones die. You think that the world just has to stop for everybody - just for a minute or two. But everything continues as usual and you are trying to work through your loss and live with it.

The saddest Christmas we ever had.. and Christmas celebration for us had a different turn from then on..

I try to separate the feelings the best i can because Christmas has a super special meaning & I love jesus. It's for sure never been the same. I can't say sorry enough to you. Just gotta hang on to the fact that love & trust in God & you'll be reunited with your loved one again & the next time will be for eternity with no separation ever again. Just gott believe & trust in the Lord.

This was gorgeous... As a father of 2 girls (teenagers now) I know the feeling of just sitting at the side-line seeing them grow up so fast. All you can do as a parent is try and do your best to let them know what's right from wrong and hope your words land and remembered. while tears are running over my face I'm going to try and learn this song because I really want to know it by heart. Very well done and I hope to hear from this guy again very soon with songs like this.
