I lost. My whole family. I put my baby brother to rest ! I'm the last one standing. I had cancer twice I fought so hard . I truly believe my. Angels help me get threw 2 car accidents critical condition in shock I heard, them saying she's going she's going all I kept saying is I'm not going anywhere! I don't remember much but I recently went to the dentist for a root canal any freaky thing happened bacteria went down my right lung gave me Cavitory pneumonia!. I lost my strength! I couldn't think .I finally went to the hospital 5 days,of antibiotics and I'm gaining my strength back slowly! I'm truly sorry 4 your pain you turned into into a beautiful song . Your story touched my heart I got diagnosed with cancer when I was 23 I fought it for alittle over a year and right after I was cleared no cancer my dad pasted away a day before thanksgiving. It hurt so bad loosing my father he was my hero but I am blessed to spent allot of time with him while I was going through cancer and he was there when I was cleared cancer free.

First time I heard this song on Tv, I choked up and cried. It brought back memories of my childhood friend who had died in a car accident in 1997. This was a powerful performance. This guy needs to be the winner!

Lost my dad 12/26/22. That man was everything to me. Was that father any one could ever ask for. My hero, rock, hunting buddy and best friend. They say you gotta move on and not die with him..easy to say. Been over a yr and still fighting the tears everyday. He died the day after Xmas and 6 before my bday. Only a week after finding out his cancer returned. Didn’t even get to finish the hunting season with him. But I was there when he got his last deer and he was there when I got my last to date. Hunting was a special thing between him and I. We spread his ashes at the creek right behind his favorite stand. Was called the bucket stand but now in honor of him the club named it ….Terry’s Stand. Never thought at almost 36 I’d have to say goodbye so soon to the main person in my life. Now 37 and still struggling to say it. Great song! 🍻 to our fathers in heaven. Love you dad!

I know that I have never met this guy before but I can tell you that just by listening to that song it has filled me with the inspiration that I have been searching for a very long time. I couldn't begin to imagine how difficult that had to been for him to sing it let alone write it. I am very close to my Dad as well and he is in his 80's. I know time is running out and I am not ready to let him go yet...

I am balling right now. My father was complete opposite and I always felt he couldn’t care less about me and my brother. I now have a 2 year old and feel exactly like he does about my boy. I wish I could have felt 1/4 the love he emits in this song. I have listened to this song 1-2 times a week to remind me to not get complacent showing love to my son.
