I like your approach to these topics. It's very realistic. You have a good understanding of what non-tech enthusiasts, do and think and take this into consideration. Tech enthusiasts, including myself, often don't understand how "normal" people think. Keep up the good videos. :)
3 years is quite a long time. Worst case scenario we can probably still just install windows 11 in an unsupported state to still get these updates. I have used 11 on a few unsupported systems now and no real issues.
There are many times people want to use older computers. And properly managed, a computer can still work 20 years after it's initial build. Pretty much any machine that can handle 64-bit can run Windows 11.
Incorrect Windows 11 only supports Intel CPU's 8th Generation and higher which is needed for security concerning TPM 2.0. AMD Ryzen 7 CPU's appear to have issues so it appears your better off with Ryzen 9.
It's 2023 and I'm using an i5 desktop from 2013 that has more than enough power for what I use. I think Moore's Law has pretty much died. In 1995 I could not run hardly any software anymore on my 1992 PC because of the speed of change, but now 10 year old PCs can run most software as long as you're not doing gaming or high intense video work, in which case you still can but will take longer.
Would not be surprised if the European Union forced an extension for environmental reasons to avoid disposal of pefectly functional PCs ... or enable upgrade to another operating system
Guess it's just a wait and see game. My PC is 5 years old this month and still running low, although the battery needs replaced soon. But I'm happy with it. Transferring data to and learning a new system is a pain in the butt. Hate going through that again.
Perhaps you can do a video on Windows 11 and if it is NOW a stable version with no bugs. I keep hearing that there are still some teething issues and some programs may not work. I am still holding onto W10 even though I can upgrade to W11. Not sure when is the time when Microsoft will have finally perfected W11. Does anybody know? Is anyone using W11 now, are you pleased with it? What do you miss from W10? Is W11 faster than W10? Is W11 more stable than W10?
Its very weird knowing that Windows 10 has only a couple years left. Please use it while you can. Or upgrade to Windows 11 (which maybe you shouldn't do). Unless Windows 12 is real, Windows 10 Users, beware. Upgrade, or wait until the next edition of windows
… Not to forget that there are also alternatives like chrome OS Flex and Linux distro’s widely available and free. Plus businesses do not move on until they absolutely have to. Windows 10 is like you said the most popular operating system Microsoft has ever developed. That is fact. I believe we make it a few more years extended support especially for businesses. Chrome OS flex and Linux. maybe the reason why windows may Extend support for Windows 10.
Now I purchased a refurbished dell laptop, about a year ago.. And watching this video made me think, just how old is this one now?? Especially at the end of '2025'! Hopefully I might not have to buy a new one, at that time (??) Not gonna count on it though.
Do you know what's crazy? 2005: You buy a powerful computer with Windows XP 2014: You upgrade to Windows Vista 2017: You upgrade to Windows 7 2020: You upgrade to Windows 10 2025: You buy a new PC with Windows 12 20 years of support.
But the difference in performance between a pentium 2 and a pentium mmx was significant. I have a core i7 6700 cpu which is holding me hostage of windows 10. Yet, the most demanding game I play is cyberpunk 2077 which runs above 70fps. So why should I throw away a perfectly functioning machine? I have TPM 2.1, I have 32GB of ram and a decently fast sad… So just fuck to the environment and let’s fill up the dumpsters?
I don't hate Mac os cuz I'm a android and windows user but why Microsoft why? Why remove the UI of what I recognized as windows ever since I started using windows XP :( I don't want a Mac feeling in windows.
i used the tool to put windows 11 on any thing i used rufus and made an bootable windows 11 flash drive so im not buying a new computer for a long time
Well, I can use Windows 10 on my Acer Laptop (i3, 6GB, 256GB) three more years. Great! Windows 11 should be well tested and work well then. Next Laptop will have i7 or i9 processor, 16GB memory and 516GB storage. Like my Acer since it is completly noice free.
or just they can support windows 10 and windows 11 and if Microsoft the biggest company in the world don't have the money and the people to support 2 operating systems at the same time they can just remove these stupid restrictions from windows 11 because even my old hp pavilion 6 laptop with i5 intergraded graphics runs windows 11 without problem (it only has UEFI and secure boot) i don't now if they doing it to just sale some potato surface laptops and tablets and after all of that they want every computer in every desk to run windows (bill gates slogan) but why i have to spend 800 euros to a new gaming pc because my motherboard dosen't have TPM 2.0 for my "SeCUriTY" the most funny thing is that they claim they put these restrictions for windows to be more secure

@@wapperjaw8282 You can easily bypass that.

But will Windows 12 require yet another upgrade in hardware from Windows 11?
Nobody knows yet.
12 will probably come on an SSD that has to be installed in the computer.
Highly unlikely
@@writerpatrickWindows on HDD is not great anyway

people are not buying new pcs that's why they are forcing people to buy new pc. just search the decline of pc sales.

what about all my 12 custom built pcs
I am 1 year late in commenting. I think using Windows 11 on unsupported system would be the best idea.

I will convert them to GoogleChrome
Will Windows 11 be ready in 2025?
Yes.
