How to Install JB4 Tune on the MKV Supra! - MEGA POWER GAINS!

- In this video, I show the step by step process of installing the Burger Motorsports JB4 piggyback tune onto my 2021 Toyota Supra. This plug and play tune requires no ECU reflashing and claims power gains of up to 100hp on a stock vehicle. I opted for the JB4 Wireless Mobile Smart Phone Kit which allows the JB4 to connect to my phone via Bluetooth. Burger Motorsports also recommends optioning the EWG Add On Connector which allows your JB4 to directly control the electronic wastegate.
Watch as I prep the JB4 for installation by plugging in the Bluetooth module and wiring the EWG harness to the JB4. Then follow along as I show the step by step installation of the JB4 and EWG harness onto my MK5 Supra.

If you bought yours used , then contact JB4 and let them know coz it could be registered on the previous owner email. They will just re-set it and hook it up to your new account.

What functionality do you lose if you dont have the EWS harness installed?
Hey man hows the supra running with this mod? Any other mods done to the car? I just got a 21 last week with a locked ecu as well its a bummer.
It actually only gives you about 40 whp with just the JB4. You might see about 50 whp with downpipe. You almost have to go with eBlend tune for more power or bigger turbo, LPFP, intake manifold, and port injection to see some decent numbers.

I did not. All I did was open the hood, close the doors and let the car sit for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the car to shut down before I started plugging in the wiring.

@@andylam4350 speaking about the dealer Here in Saudi Arabia, if you take of the JB4 and take it to the dealer you will be fine . But don't go and tell them that you had a jb4 😅
@@andylam4350 you don’t void warranty. It’s a hack that makes it seem like you have nothing done to your ECU. Plus fuck dealerships, find a trusted mechanic that will do all work for 70% less the price.

What’s the WG connector for
For the amount of money Burger charges, you'd think they would do this pre-wiring themselves. Kind of weird how you have to spend $700+ and then have to go through the hassle of assembling it. Yes I know it isn't difficult to do it yourself, but still, a bit of an odd experience from the consumer standpoint.
I get your point but it’s such a minimal thing for what you’re doing. If you can’t do this instal then you shouldn’t be tuning your car in the first place.

It is prewired. Least mine was as i ordered it specific for 21 and up. I only had to disassemble for the Bluetooth module which really should be standard. Who has a supra but not a smartphone? We aren't driving an 87 iroc where you may still be using a flip
Pre wiring would bend the wires and stress the plugs in that small container. Thats why they do it this way.

will this work for the 2021 supra A91?
Yes it will work on all 2020-2021 Supras including those that are ECU “locked”
im having a really hard time removing the tmap sensor. any tips? dont want to break it trying to force it out
T map sensor was definitely more challenging than the map sensor for me as well. The biggest thing is to pop the white piece out with either your finger nail or a small flat head. Be carful not to rip it completely out. Once you’ve done this, press down on the white piece you just popped out and then pull the plug out. The white clip acts as a lock for the sensor so if you don’t press it down it wont come out. I believe there are a few short videos on how to unplug a bmw sensor.

Been super busy man but I definitely recommend the JB4 especially if you’re concerned about warranty. Noticeable difference on map 2 and 3.

You can check n54 tech/ burgers dynos, they usually post a bunch
Mega power gains? Probably should have base line dynoed it and then dynoed again after the install. That the only way to know what the power gains truly are.
or just buy mhd or bm3 for half the money & no hassle to install anything and have better results.

Have you figured out what holding the bc button on the blinker lever does? It flashes left signal or right signal or both arrow signals. Fuckin stupid that burger motorsport doesn’t have a stupid manual for our car
Cycles through the mpg/mileage data in bottom right corner of the instrument panel. It's in the owners manual...
@@domlouis2179 are you that stupid? The jb4 has a function that gets changed. I figured it out it changes the exhaust valve from open to close. Ffs you must be dumb
