Thanks for this. I’m on my final Toyota care free oil change and my dealer said it’s $365 for the annual oil change plus taxes and fees 😂. I have a lift at home and will do it myself.

A 32mm also works on the oil filter housing.
I did the filter first and left that open while draining the main plug. 6.5 liters
Dub, you did it the correct way. The filter drains oil into the pan once it is opened.

Dealers are already liars but then stick on the supra and they make it sound like it's some complicated special job for the supra that needs to be done by a toyota certified supra technician

Kies Motorsports Hey can you guys figure out a way to upgrade the supra to Android Auto capability? I just recently got one and keep looking around for solutions, I feel like MMI prime should work but apparently is incompatible

Pro tip for anyone doing this put a very thin layer of grease of the threads of the filter cap. They can get really dried out and you can break the housing or round off the plastic nut trying to get it off.

How to reset oil light before miles due when it says “Reset Impossible” ? Due month date has already past. Clock and date is already setup up properly in car.

DIY Car maintenance is a good thing to do as manufacturers charge a lot of money.
Not that much prob in tune with their other fleet cars 60-70$. Maybe full synthetic (hopefully at that price smh)
Most of the time the dealership loses money on oil changes. They only do oil changes for the MPI and upsells. Its cheaper for me as a Toyota tech to pay my dealership to do the oil change than to just buy the parts alone.
@@Sademu69They charge like 50-70 for an oil change meanwhile indie shops can do it for you for $15-20 bucks if you bring in your stuff or $30-40 if you don’t. I really don’t think they are losing money. If they were, they would quickly get you in and out the shop and not take an hour to change your oil. They buy filters and oil in bulk, of course it’s gonna cost you more to go out and buy a single filter and two jug of oil.

I asked the advisor and according to him, an oil change costs around $550…

0w20? Wow In Europe we at least use 0w30-5w30 most common never even heard off 0w20
For some reason in North America Toyota specifies a ACEA C5 compliant oil which only seems to be available in 0W20. Do they not require/recommend ACEA C5 in Europe?

The sad thing is the Supra is more popular than the dying Z4. Haven't driven the Z4 but the A90 is awesome!
