    That’s a helluva good spec for a £180 helmet with the new 22.06 certification.
    Also, Tony, your video reviews go from strength to strength 👍

    Cardo SpiritHD is fine for me on this helmet. The neck pillow is not very stable after wiring , but i can live with that :)
    The helmet is very good , great visor and sunvisor , quiet , and has very good look , but its heavy for my neck. Next time I go for an ARAI. :)

    Would you suggest this over the LS2 Challenger and the Scorpion 1400? Thanks

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Před 22 dny +1

      I don't have any personal experience of the Challenger, but it has been popular with customers and is a higher spec than the Vector II (it's 22.05-rated rather than 22.06, though). The Scorpion Exo-1400 Air Carbon is very well liked by customers, but the fit is different to the Vector II. I would suggest trying both and going for the one that best suits your head shape. Cheers, Tony

    Your reviews are great. Bought my Evo ES because of your review. Do you ride regularly in any LS2 lids? I almost bought the 180flip from them but ended up with the Evo ES. Kinda want a full face now. Would you happily ride in this daily for years or would you pony up for something like a Shoei RF SR.

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Před rokem +3

      I wore an LS2 Valiant for about 2500 miles in 2018 and did a couple of hundred miles in an Explorer last year. I wouldn't expect an LS2 to last as well as a Shoei if I used it for years. The build quality of Japanese helmets is superior to anything else and the extra money spent will definitely tell, especially over time. LS2 build quality is similar to other helmets for the price. Thanks for getting in touch, and the kind comment about the reviews. Cheers, Tony

    The switches in the visor mechanism are indeed a waste of time. Curiosity got the better of me and I changed both. It moves the hinges backwards. Problem is then the visor wont close 😂. Easy enough to unset them using a pen.

    This or the AGV K3 ? I like that this is fibreglass although it does seem to be heavier than the plastic K3

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Před měsícem +1

      If you're able to check the fit beforehand then I would try both before making your decision. The Vector 2 felt a bit more enclosing than the K3 when I wore it, but that could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your preference. If you go on customer ratings, the K3 scores higher than the Vector 2. Cheers, Tony

    is this helmet better than Lazer Rafale Evo SR in terms of protection and safety? I wonder which one I should choose

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Před 5 měsíci

      I have no experience of the Lazer helmet and can't find much reference to it online, but it appears to have been introduced in 2019 or 2020, which means it's likely to be approved to the ECE 22.05 standard. As the Vector II is approved to the newer ECE 22.06 safety standard I'd have more confidence in that. That's not to say a 22.05 helmet is poor - some older models are passing the new standard after what seem like minor modifications - but the new standard sets a higher benchmark. I hope that helps. Cheers, Tony

    My last LS2 (An FF323 Arrow) leaked around the visor and meant watery eyes. Put me off LS2 a bit. Is that a problem you've seen in helmets before and have you noticed any issues with these LS2s?

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Před 7 měsíci +1

      We do see that problem in helmets, but it's not particularly common and LS2 don't stand out as having frequent leak issues (in fact, no brand stands out for us as having frequent issues with ineffective visor seals). Cheers, Tony

    Hi Tony, nice rev. Question to you or anyone who own this helmet, what about : 1. noise above 80/100 km/h ? 2. what about areodynamic with speeds above 180/200 km/h ?

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Před rokem +2

      Hi, thanks. I didn't suffer any issues with noise at those speeds, but it may be different in your circumstances (and you might have a different idea to me of what is noisy). I'll have to defer to others on the second part as I didn't exceed those speeds while wearing this helmet. Cheers, Tony

    Hi Tony, would you say this helmet would be suitable on a sportsbike? Swapped from a 790 Duke to a gsxr1000 and now feel I need a slightly taller visor aperture than my current HJC IS-17. Thanks in advance 👍

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Před rokem +1

      Hi Dave, I think the visor aperture would be fine. If there is going to be an issue, it will be the depth of the helmet around the jaw. If you're riding in the crouched position then I could see how the shoulders might bump into the rim of the helmet as it does offer extensive coverage in this area. I didn't wear this lid with a sportsbike, so it's only speculation and perhaps someone who's reading this and has worn this lid on one will be able to help further. Cheers, Tony

    Currently in a dilemma...If you had to compare ls2 vector 2 vs agv K3/K5, which one would you choose and why?

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Před rokem +1

      I've not used a K5, but our review of the K3 is nearly finished. This LS2 stacks up very well against it. The LS2 is a bit heavier, and the visor is a bit fiddlier. I'd expect it to be a bit quieter, though I've not back-to-backed the two so that's pure guesswork. The LS2 suits my head shape slightly better so I'd probably choose that, but if it was the other way around I'd happily run the K3 instead - they really are very closely matched. I hope that helps you. Cheers, Tony

    Hello, whould you recommend this one or HJC I71?

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Před rokem +3

      It entirely depends on what you want from a helmet and how well it fits you. The LS2 has a simpler chin strap and it's a bit easier to fit an off-the-shelf intercom. The i71 has a D-ring strap that many riders prefer, and the venting is superior in my opinion. Comms integration is very good on the i71, if you're happy to spend on the official unit. Then there's the fit, which is always the key thing in my opinion as the best helmet in the world will be unpleasant to wear if it doesn't suit your head. Cheers, Tony
