    In any civilized country that have a union representative must pay its union members when they go on strike only in guyana members pay the union and don't get any wages when the workers go on strike so the question is why is the union taking these people money and filling their pockets 😢 I say let the workers stop paying the union cause they only want the money

      A matter can be political because of one side politicising it (as in this case). That distinction was made in the video. Thanks for watching.

      Are you making a case that it is not a political strike, right now? I cannot remember the circumstances of why the teachers strike in 2018. Didn’t the APNU government do enough for them or not? But, even though, I know teachers deserve no less than $200,000 per month in wages and salaries. You cannot deny the fact that the PPPC government has done a lot for teachers and is doing a lot for teachers since they came into office in August, 2020. So, I, personally don’t like the fact teachers are on strike when it look to me like the government was working with them to increase their salary. After making my comment, I still will like to see teachers get pay at least $200,000 per month, immediately.

      Did the government at that time politicise the strike?

      The teachers have a right to industrial action and they are exercising it. The government should honour their obligation to engage in collective bargaining. It's that simple. @@josephwinslow7613

      @@BottomHouseTVYou are correct, I agree with you if that is all that matters. But the government, also, has the right to not pay teachers and to not withhold teachers union dues for the GTU. It’s that simple, too. Another thing, the government is claiming that the GTU and teachers are engaged in an illegal strike. We need either the government or the teachers to take this to court, so that the court can rule and pass judgment on this matter of who is in the right and who is in the wrong.

    Twisting the truth, We knows why Mohammad paying the union but keep up lying. We black are we own worse enemies.

    • @BottomHouseTV
      @BottomHouseTV  Před 6 měsíci

      What is your point? There are teachers of all ethnicities protesting.

    • @josephwinslow7613
      @josephwinslow7613 Před 6 měsíci

      Isn’t Mohammed’s money, initially, coming from an illegal source like gold smuggling, money laundering and etc? So, Mohammed paying teachers dues or salaries are not going to change that fact or reality. It only shows the GTU and teachers’ duplicity in ignoring and endorsing someone criminal behavior because it serves their purpose. Another thing is, we, black peoples, worst reasoning is saying things like we, black peoples, is our own worst enemies. Are all black peoples in Guyana support to the the GTU and teachers strike? If you are saying that or believe that, what is your reasoning. Give us an intelligent and educated reason for saying that and believing that. I challenge you.
