I have not sat in a BYD Seal. My iX3 is 2.5 years old and one of its best features is the very effective air-conditioning in our climate. It even works extremely well with the engine off and sitting in an open waiting area under the sun whilst waiting for someone. Anyway, I will never buy a car with a glass roof without any additional sun blinds. No Tesla for me.
I visited the Tesla HQ in Cyberjaya the other day and there was a little brochure for a sunblind accessory
@@Autophiles Yes I'm aware of that. My son has a Tesla model 3. He had to fit an aftermarket sunshade. It is fixed in place and not openable. The entire front portion is not covered and at certain angles the sun comes into the cabin and drivers' spots.

this is not a killer Seal for 3...... each car has its own target audience.... just let them coexist together
The only thing I don’t like is the panoramic sunroof, should have an auto cover just like atto 3..
Yeah, we were initially quite disappointed when we got the car... haih at least got some form of shade unlike some EVs we've tested
Its treated with a silver coat. It doesnt get as hot compared to its competitiors.
@@UgglemannenFTW the strange thing is that nearly every panoramic sunroof EV, the marketing people tell us the same/similar thing. Max tint/some coating. Always hotter than no sunroof
@@Autophiles Yes its hotter than no sunroof but there is tests that show a big difference compared to like an tesla. There is a CZcamsr in Australia called Tom showing the difference.
Your review not accurate
1. AC need to put free than can turn.
2. Rear seat space is as spacious as lexus es.
3. AC need to deactivate comfort and set auto will be good.
1 and 3, maybe. But I just found it so needlessly complicated versus a normal ac system
2 I have to say is untrue. It's probably about as wide as the ES, but the battery pack takes up so much vertical space. someone with long legs will have little to no thigh support
The battery is part of the chassis on the seal. Its not another layer vertical like other EVs.
@@Autophilesu are true in some point. But my previous car is es300h 2019 model. Leg room and headroom is for sure comparable. ..❤

Ac have to set to free mode thn its easy , seat are real nappa leather calfskin , there is a bigger version , theres alot more models but not in malaysia yet , aiyo u guys do homework nicely 1st la 😅
The point is one literally every other car (except Teslas) the air vents are intuitive, easy to control and understand. This one needs to be explained...
As for the real nappa leather, we'll look into it. This test car was passed around the team that week so we didn't get a lot of time with it. A lot of companies claim 'genuine' leather as actual cowhide but with EVs especially they tend to just use high grade synthetic. It felt real to us, but didn't crease like real leather

@@boonchewchan8245 nope, but I've test driven about a dozen EVs, most of the time 3-7 day loaners.
My condo (and most condos) don't have charging facilities, but there are at least 2 EV owners in mine. Don't know how they cope unless there's one at work their workplace

Tesla is far better...
But lots of recalls and lots of quality issues aside interior for Tesla quite empty. Not worth than BYD

There are 2 sources of battery
Battery CATL is more effective, efficient and consistent than BYD.
There are so many channels reviews many cars from both makers,
Overall Tesla car is far better than BYD,
Open your eyes and have a look...
