      @2017 BMW X3 R Spec eh, I liked the pre facelift version, kinda has a smug look about it. Also the fact that they made a car with such a unique shape that was as cheap as it was is pretty impressive. Like cruising down the highway wind is a joke, you could be in a god damn hurricane and barely feel anything.
      Also I'm a sucker for 80s/90s wedge designs, so the 4th gen is pretty high up there in terms of my favourite car designs, especially when you count the firebird of the same generation.

I won't argue with the cleaning of the tire tho but you really just need to warm them up to get the water off of them(street tires that is)nothing more. Every company who makes radials has their own recommendations for launch prep and only then should you be worrying about heating the tires specifically to the standards of that tire.

      Didnt need a supercharger? LOL thats why the previous gen Cobra had a recall literally because it was too slow? They absolutely needed a supercharger, without it they were getting shit on by cars like this z28. Imagine if this Camaro was a Ls1 instead of the shitbox Lt1, the Camaro was ten times better than the mustang all the way through the 90's without a doubt. When Ford finally came out with the 4 valve the competition became close again, but no 90's mustang could take out a 90's v8 camaro stock for stock or mod for mod. Simple as that.

    • @xXxXcrosbykidXxXx
      @xXxXcrosbykidXxXx Před 9 lety

      Ya i did, because Ford recalled the Cobra for being slower and less powerful than they claimed. That is a 100% relevant fact to this conversation, nothing you said had any relevance at all. Chevy has tons of recalls but are any of them to do with the performance and the speed of their SS or Z28 F body camaros? Nope so fuck off with your random bullshit. Im not even a chevy or ford fan particularly. I personally own a 300zx twin turbo, so i have no bias. But the fact is the the gm f body, especially with the ls1 were far better, both in straight line speed and cornering ability, than any 90's mustang from the factory including Cobras. The Termi NEEDED a supercharger to make the extra power it did, the 4.6 4v modular engine made less power and torque than the Ls1 did in naturally aspirated form (Previous gen Cobras or Mach 1's) so without the 8psi being pushed through the eaton that Cobra would not have made more power than its competitors and that would have been bad for Ford. So it needed it.

    And I had a 3.8 camaro and that just wasnt enough power for me and now I have a c5 and will hopefully be getting some headers this summer. But most cat back systems go for over 1k new and the straight pipes go for about 7-800 but I got mine used for 310. I also have a set of zo6 ti's too.

    And I wasnt referring to the rear end more along the lines of the clutch, either way when you reach that hp range things get expensive fast.

      If this Camaro was Ls1 it wouldve embarrassed the stang, it was an old shitbox Lt1 what did you expect. If the Camaro was from the same year as the Mustang the Mustang would have no chance in hell at sticking with him. And also they are both direct competitors in the domestic V8 pony car market, size of the engine isnt an excuse. These cars are made to compete against eachother, Chevy's f body camaro was simply better than the mustang. And as this proves, both the Lt1 as well as the Ls1 are far superior motors to the 2v 4.6 v8 found in those stangs. Not cuz of engine size, because the 2v just sucked dick

    And you can get 8psi on a stock ls1, and the same things that you say a lst needs the cobra is going to need too. and you are right the blower is going to cost a lot more than 3 k its going to be closer to 7k( well thats a kit) but you will have everything but the tune.

Yes a 98 SS runs 13.5, but every year after until 02 they increased in power. 01-02 cars had Z06 intake and a couple other goodies if you opted for the full SLP package. There's no official word yet on HP ratings on the new SS. At least the mags I have state the Z28 will be in the 400 range and the SS closer to 500.
