- Abraham had never celebrated his birthday before he was adopted and moved to the U.S. So when his mom appeared with a cake for his most recent birthday, he became overwhelmed with emotion. "It's not just a birthday cake. It's a blessing cake," he said. Steve Hartman shares more in "On the Road."

"It's a blessing cake"
Ok well I wasn't prepared for that 🥺💛
I felt my heart melt 😭
That young man is wise beyond his years.
@@VIpanfried He truly gets it.
Such a beautiful response. This boy has a beautiful heart ❤️
I am currently crying ✋🏽❤
I'm glad they were adopted together, what a beautiful family ♥️
Weird self aggrandizing diversity adoption if you think about it. Over a million black foster kids need adoption here but the parents go out of the way to get a real African. Bizarre af.
@@yourfinalhiringagency3890 Jesus buddy, I don’t think their goal was to adopt a “real African”. I have a feeling there’s probably a little more reasoning/story behind just randomly selecting two brothers from Sierra Leone ;)
@@Auszug it is what it is
@@yourfinalhiringagency3890 Who hurt you
@@Auszug Over here, these kids will be subjected to the systemic racism that CBS has been telling us about ever since the death of Fentanyl Floyd.
those boys have been through a lot, I'm glad they finally get to experience childhood.
Smiling happy boys, nothing more wonderful!
What beautiful boys.
"It's not just a birthday cake" hit me so hard. These two brothers are in a house full of love, and now they have a future they can hope for, all because they found a place where they were wanted and cared for.
“A blessing cake 🍰 “ what a beautiful story.. 💕 I lost it when he said that 🫤😢
Me too!

Same!! 💔🥹😭🙏🏽
“It’s not *_just_* a birthday cake, it’s a *_blessing_* cake” … that hits *_DEEP_*
The way these boys have taught their parents a whole new level of appreciation. Everything about this is beautiful.
yeah, there are places in the world where getting just the basic needs every day is a challenge so when they're brought in first world countries; they're easily amazed at things that most people take for granted. Being from that hardship makes you have a new level of appreciation for things .
I am from a third-world country but knowing that there are people that are going through life harder than me makes me appreciate what I got and see problems are not as hard as it seems .
@@jjhaya you have a very beautiful mindset💓
Just the kind of young Americans we need. Welcome young men.
👍
Wow when abrham said “its not a birthday cake, its a blessing cake” made me cry like yo thats the realest thing ive heard in years
Same😢
Same bro.
These guys already look financially comfortable.
And they even had 4 kids.
And yet they saw that and could have done nothing. But they chose to bring two kids in not separate them and give them a better life.
That's not at all and easy thing to do. But they did.
So props to them. Because sometimes doing nothing isn't enough
You don't need to be financially comfortable to adopt because the government pays people to adopt. Pays very well.
@@DerekOfRivia i wouldn know im not american
The US government does not pay people to adopt kids, just so everyone knows. Not sure where that other dude got his ideas.
@@DerekOfRivia it doesn't pay well if it all lmao, it just gives tax breaks if you do get money its usually not a lot and SUPPOSED to be for the kid. You're think of foster homes, which still don't make much money. But if you wanna harp on the money benefits, why don't we just get rid of adoption? no, exactly, shut up
So true. ❤ 😢
"What may look like a house to you"
My guy... THAT'S A PRACTICALLY A FRIGGIN APARTMENT BUILDING.
Fr😭
I thought "mansion" 😮😮
Teary. I myself am adopted from Mexico, but I was adopted as a baby and never knew life as an orphan. I shudder at the idea of being homeless or growing up without my family like these boys did. I am so thankful there are people out there who are willing to adopt brothers like this, especially older ones from around the world. What a beautiful story!
💯💯
The way the boy speaks is so poetic! 😮 It’s amazing! 😃 I love it!
Sierra Leoneans are expressive whether in word or in deed.
because he read bible..tht why
Guarantee that these young men will grow up and succeed in life.
Such a beautiful family to adopt the 2 together, so happy for them. ❤️
Their smiles are beautiful
This is just a gimmick. As if there weren't any American orphans to adopt. They did this as a publicity stunt
@@srji489 Or they just liked the children? Not everybody does things for a publicity stunt.
@srji489-I get what you’re saying man, and I feel the same way, but in the end, these people gave a home to two kids who otherwise wouldn’t have had one. Bottom line is it’s a good thing
@@srji489how? why would americans only adopt american children, that’s the stupidest thing i’ve ever heard, there’s kids all around the world who need families like this beautiful one, what you said is disgusting get help.
The way he explains it, he's so thankful it's amazing, it really puts faith in me.
This broke my heart. I'm so happy those young men got a home. Think of all the ones that don't. Unless humanity gets it's priorities in order, I fear for our survival.
We are here at this time in human history TO MAKE IT BETTER. WE are going through so much ugly to teach us ALL that our human flaws like GREED, SELFISHNESS, LUST FOR POWER, ABUSE OF OUR EARTH and each other MUST CHANGE if we are to go forward and make this all better. But the change starts from within. We are seeing the ugly and worst to make us fight for the decent and better World we want.
I agree. It's so nice to see the ones who are lucky but it's terrible to think that there are enough resources for everyone but not everyone will get them.
I will adopt one day. God bless this family.🙏🏾
God bless you just for thinking to adopt.
I would love to adopt as well!!!
Being adopted, please do. All my friends with biological parents raising them, always talk about my mom and dad, and how amazing they are. I was blessed, and as an adult, if ever given the opportunity to meet my biological parents, I would be just fine only saying thank you, and keep moving. These people with a huge house, didn’t do this for fame and clicks, they obviously don’t need the money, and that makes this right. Those kids will be soo loved.
@@yourdaddy9622weirdo
I know it isn’t the point of the video, but this is one hell of an advertisement for adoption
"It's not just a birthday cake... It's a blessing cake" 🙌🏾 My hormonal self can't take it!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Beautiful story. Brought tears to my eyes. Bless those boys hearts. I’m glad they’re in a loving family now.
Our local black orphans weren’t good enough I guess
@@yourfinalhiringagency3890 We're all people who need love and family. These boys are just as deserving as kids living nearby. Your comment is just sad.
@@lhp-r3923 they’re choosing self aggrandizement over helping someone here. It wastes a ton of resources to get one of the African adopted as opposed to a local orphan. Also many historians argue the loss of Africas able bodied people throughout history has helped contribute to its lack of modernization. It’s sad that people like you agree with this kind of bs, obtaining a trophy child for some fetish.
@@yourfinalhiringagency3890 I hope you find a way to lose your bitterness and learn to enjoy life. (For real.) ✌️
@@lhp-r3923 I find it by being outspoken against unjustifiable stuff. Lots of people are complicit smooth brains, and they don’t even see something as wrong despite it being blatant. I’ll die peacefully when it comes knowing I’ve already changed a bunch of people. ✌🏿
I have no hatred 🤣 but can’t let smooth brain actions just slide either. GL kid
We can all learn something from this wise young man.
"It's not a birthday cake...it's a blessing cake" What a beautiful sentiment from an exceptional young man. Sierra Leone has been through so much with the civil war. I hope these two kids have a wonderful life
If only the whole World could get on like that family.
One day!
God has truly blessed this young man.
Damn ... this got me all teary eyed. We all need to be more like these boys. We take things for granted here and forget how lucky we are just to have a roof over our heads and running water and food at the store down the road. I wish the news would do stories like these more often instead of constant stories of violence and division.
You better preach!
@michaelwashington4550 I am so glad that you sent me this small response. I just lost my wonderful mother this month and my dog that I had for 14 years. Little things mean a lot when you have hard times. May God bless you and all of those that you know and love. Take care and thank you !!!

What a beautiful way to express himself. I got teary eyes watching this. I sponsored a sweet boy from Sierra Leone and it brings so much joy seeing his progress. God bless this wonderful family ❤
This is so awesome. I wish these two young men nothing but happiness and success for the rest of their lives. My only hope is that they are not jaded by living in the United States and don't become by all the toxicness of our country. May they keep their loving and outgoing spirits forever.
What a wonderful couple to adopt 2 brothers so they can enjoy growing up together! Extremely admirable. So often siblings are separated during the adoption process.
I feel the love this entire family has in their hearts. Thank you for sharing with them the blessings you received from God. May God continue to protect you all and increase your riches millionfold. I pray also that these 2 African brothers and your own kids will succeed in their education and in whichever career they later choose. Wishing you all a long, healthy, happy and blessed life.
A great reminder for all of us not to take anything for granted. God bless this beautiful family!!!
We should experience life with this wide-eyed wonder.
Seeing his reaction made tears well up in my eyes. How beautiful. Those boys truly are a reminder to love and appreciate the little things ❤️ wishing them the best life… with parents like that I don’t doubt that they will
Well said.
This video has taught me the true meaning of birthdays. And that is to look forward to the joys that are yet to come from a new year of you being alive, no matter how major or minor those blessings may be. I think the older people get, the less they enjoy birthdays because they forget what birthdays truly mean. So remember to enjoy being alive and treasure all your blessings.
Geez!!! finally a great story and people still have something negative to write! Bless that family for making a POSITIVE difference in these young men's lives! God knows that they didn't have to do anything to help those young men but they did. now with that being said all of those negative comments let's see how Karma works!

@@gcook226 Yes! I totally agree with you 100% You would think that after surviving the COVID situation people would be more grateful to hear some positive news, but I guess not. Have a great day and stay safe!
I was an orphan, ward of the court my entire childhood. I have never had a family, ever. Pray I get a family. I want a family so bad.
These are the sort of young men who are going to be such an asset to our nation. So glad they’re here.
"It is a blessing cake". That really resonates and is a paradigm shift for me. Especially since as I grow older, I tend to look at birthdays more as time lost. Thank you, young Abraham - for reminding me that birthdays are blessings.
This was so sweet. I legit cried when he cried at the cake. I’m so glad for both the family and the two boys found each other. I hope there is more cheer and love for all of them in the future.

Thanking God for Abraham's parents. It's not every day that children are adopted at that age.
Great story of compassion and the beauty of adoption. The real tragedy here is that mainstream media no longer presents honest news reports on all sides of world's issues and events.

No not just with any black orphan, we want one from Africa specifically, and not the ones in our community! Yeah great job.
What do you mean
@@inrrazzor2863 That individual there is insufferable. The point they are conveying, although poorly, is that there are many orphans in all countries of the world, and for the family to adopt from Africa instead of America is somehow wrong or ill-intended. Makes no sense.

Very admirable for the family to open up the home and hearts to the boys. They have respect. There are good people in this world.

The two boys show more appreciation for so many things that too many take for granted especially here in the U.S.
