Great stuff.Keep uploading this vintage football.Too many people today think football started in 1992/93 with the creation of the Premier league, and forget that football was around LONG before that.’Oh it’s better today’,’The players are more skilful’,’They’re much fitter’, the pundits shout.Maybe so in some cases, but the array of talent on the pitch,in this match,Keegan,Dalglish,Coppell,Jordan,Robson,Butcher.Brooking,Shilton,Souness,Hartford,Mcgrain’,any of these players would walk into Premier league teams today.

I grew up on these players.
Players today lack imagination & initiative.
They are fitter & better-drilled, but they lack character & individuality. They are robots.

Agreed..They maybe better Athletes today, but how we're really supposed to know, when serious hard Tackling& Physicality frowned upon,a lighter ball,"Bowling Greens for fields, more Subs,Water Breaks,I cld go on&on..Na I think the Football up to possibly late nignties was top class!..But enjoy these Vids👍☘️

Er, sorry to tell you that I was there with a mate from England and my mates from Glasgow itself. There were about 12 (10 Glaswegians)of us altogether behind the goal where Mariner scored. When he actually scored I was at the toilet and couldn't believe that there had been a goal. About 75 minutes in the Scots fans were beginning to become really frustrated by the failure of their team to make much headway toward the England goal. So, began to sing 'What a load of Rubbish,' which me and the boys all heartily sang too ay the top of our voices. Nobody and I mean nobody seemed the least bothered that there were two Englishmen in the middle of it all. Different kind of supporters are Scots not hooligans like the English at the time. And as for 'hostile' we drunk together before and after the game and there was no trouble at all. When we went back to the lads' homes in Queenslie the people in the tenements were aware of our presence and were hanging out of the windows shouting out how, 'ach the English have beaten us again.' They wer delighted to welcome us and that's the honest truth. Great people in the East End of Glasgow. Love em to bits!

God, adverts now are so boring, unimaginative, zero humour & especially PC. What's happened to beer ads? Guinness! Banned? Whilst 24/7 gambling ads are ok? Gamble Responsibly!
