I hope one day we see these warriors rematch. This fight had an aura around it.

Jiri got robbed of getting CTE. That, I agree.
He was gone already . Any more time seconds he’s only gonna be out cold . No point
The referee is not supposed to stop when your unconscious on the floor like of course if one hits you on the chin and you go straight to sleep then dif story but a referees job is to Protect the fighters from unnecessary damage and to prioritize their safety and prevent a possible career ending injury or just an injury in general. If you take so many significant blows to the head in such little time and your also wobbled the referee will most likely stop the fight lol and there is nothing wrong with that especially with Alex Pereira he literally hits harder than Francis Ngannou lmfao .

Alex's power must be crazy, he hardly threw those punches and took Jiri out
Its cause he stays relaxed till his fist make contact so his speed turns into power. It’s the same thing how he KO Hill. It’s a technique only some fighters are able to comfortably do
Marc Goddard lets prelim fighters almost die but stops almost every title fight early.
He just carries out the UFC’s instructions. This fight, the O’Malley vs Aljo fight and the first Alex vs Izzy fight.
I always find that extremely irritating. We get real bangers, wars, between nobodies with no stakes. But when there's a belt on the line, Main Event....and they stop it with little to no warning

That was a wrap. It was a good stoppage and jiri said he was out and lost.
he dropped to his knees from a clean left hook, shot a hail mary take down, failed, recieved about 10 or 11 unanswered strikes (starting at 10:31) to the side of the head in that position, had his legs give out, fell back, with a still fresh looking alex periera in full mount. If you want him to get some more brain damage "just to be sure" then just say it.
We see this all the time. Most of the fights where you see a fighter go down and recieve one or two really hard strikes when they're defenseless, they could also "stand up quickly" if the ref stops the fight before the last couple of unnecessary shots. May be the occasional derrick lewis or ngannou knock out is an exception, but that's about it. every other time its: fighter goes down -> is basically out -> recieves couple more hard strikes to the head -> now everyone one's sure he's out -> fight ends.

And it's only Jiri's fault
He had full mount after the ko and you think he would’ve gotten out 😂?
@@TGTg06 That has to be one of the most idiotic comments I've read in this channel.
@@macironiminer9338 Maybe, maybe not, we will never know now, because it was way too early.
@@senoresquina1715 I’m not like the delusional DDP fans who don’t want to see their boyfriend beat up by Sean, I think the rematch should happen for sure but I think the same outcome would happen
Alex's career has been electrifying! Amazing striker.
I just watched Hill vs Texeira and then watched this 😂😂
wish we would’ve gotten that Goddard 😂
When a fighter's hand goes limp and falls back, it's a good decision to stop the fight but this really need a rematch. Hopefully Jiri can make his way again as a top contender, all props to Alex for achieving 2 Division Titles in just a short time.
Jiri: good stoppage
Jiri fanboys: bad stoppage
He said that at first, later he changed his mind that Goddard should have let it go for at least couple of seconds. It was a bad stoppage.
@@Matthew-cze so his opinion doesn’t have weight. He is either lying or talks out of his ass.
It was early without a doubt. Jiri kind of has that noble way about him so of course he's going to say that. Also he later retracted it and said he wished it was allowed to carry on
I'm not jiri fan but that stoppage was a bit early too
he said it in a interview that it was early@@heavyartillery-qm5hu
Yea that stoppage was a tad bit early. He shouldve let him work on the ground a lil bit…. Those elbows were nasty tho
WHAT A FIGHT
I don't give a shit what anyone says, Marc Goddard fucked up this fight
He saved Jiri. It was inevitable
He fucks up damn near every fight he refs
Never let him ref a title fight again
Jiri himself said it was a good stoppage, bro was finished he had Alex on top of him full mount and already landed 10-15 unanswered elbows before that.
Marc is a terrible ref he has a massive ego
Still can't get over how Alex was a middleweight after seeing him here
Pereira is a beast, but jiri is an ARTIST, so different.
GREAT FIGHT💪
Two great Warriors
Samurai vs Great ancient Brazilian Spirit ❤
Love you both
Jiri is one of my favorite fighters of all time, love his fighting style!
It was hard to see him gown like this, the inactivity affected him. But I love Alex he is so humble and a badass
No walkout or staredown ?! Thats criminal
