While you were wasting your time fighting China, Britain, and the Soviet Union, Italy was conquering the world.
20:30 The reasons your losses are so high is because of the difference in spotting and air efficiency (the two numbers to the left of your plane count). Building radars, using air infiltration missions from an agency, advisors, and increasing your planes’ range can help to make them perform better and thus lose fewer planes.

I've done this challenge in the opposite side, play historical USSR and bump Germany and Italy to max strength. It could also be interesting to play Japan with strengthened Allies. You could also do this challenge but have a condition that you can't Sea Lion until the USA joins the Allies.
god, I tried that once, bumping germany to half strength and I got obliterated. Of course, that was in my earlier days.
@@kmmediafactory I ended up having practically a historical game, I got pushed to within a few tiles of Moscow, about the line between Rzhev and Kaluga, and their attack ran out of steam.

also my friends there was a section at 24:23 that showed occupation paint because for some reason loading back up the game turned norway into a checkerboard with italy splitting control and I am not going to have a chickenpox nation. That makes the map look very ugly and we are not about that life

Challange: Give the benelux max power and turn the speed bump in to a concrete wall. Play with historical IA off. You can play a country of your choice.

Here's a challenge idea: Play as Yugoslavia go down the monarchist path were you balkanize Yugo and then conquer Germany, Italy and the Soviets that are buffed to the max.

Stakuyi, you should totally do some 2023 HoI4 tutorial videos on how to best play the game (economy, army, navy, air, etc.)

What I would recommend for dealing with the UK a lot easier is to exercise the navy until you get enough EXP to create a cheap Heavy Cruiser hull that you can spam out by the dozen, while also doing the two 35 day naval focuses that give you dockyards to be able to spam out more Heavy cruisers. After you get France, set it on strike force, then go to town from there
Though I will say that spamming naval bombers does give way more air exp
Yeah the UK can just spam out ships as the empire has tons of resources you practically can't get invaded if your fleet is in the channel

Also, the Soviet buffs are just what the German tank commanders claimed the Soviets had. It's historic to a sense.
You should try playing the horror mod that was popular around last year. I don’t remember the exact name but you can turn Mussolini into an eldritch monstrosity and it’s epic.
Recommendation - Play Equestria at War and do the Genocidal Cult secret path for the Colthaginian Republic. It's genuinely one of the most in-depth focus trees of any HOI4 mod

Even tho I know you dislike New Dawn, the latest update added unique focus trees to a few new countries, and the Bulgaria one has a Balkan conquest path, which I think would be pretty interesting to see, especially given the fact that they start with a single civ and mil factories.

Tbh that's mostly how I play anyway(full buff on all majors, elite difficulty). If you're a minor nation, you feel like minor nation. If you're a major, buff and elite difficulty mostly cancel each other out. And both allow AI to do at least something beyond eating rocks.
I would also recommend using options to allow faction leader to get % of war score of faction members and allow overlord to get war score of puppets. Both are off by default for some reason and both limit the player conquest in "death warring".
P.S.: fair warning, AI with both difficulty and major buff gets a bit insane in terms of aggression in the war. No, they don't become more aggressive in diplomacy, they just speedrun "0 manpower" during the war by constantly spamming general abilities. Which is an exploit of its own if you focus hardness and soft attack...
You can annex Youguslavia, if you do the focus bevor annex Czecholovakia

Regarding your community post, I would love to see more Total War action!
If you want an exact example for a challenge, you could try playing as either of the Roman empires in Attila Total War. (With the West Romans being the harder one for obvious reasons) Alternatively you could play Attila with the Ancient Empires mod and play as Carthage (it starts at the end of the second Punic War and carthage is at quite the disadvantage) and win against the Romans (makes for a shorter video as opposed to the entire mini-series needed in the first suggestion.

20:30 because the Brits have radars and get some bonuses. You can get lvl 2 radars along the British channel and you will get the same spotting as them.
Another thing that might help is building a spy network, getting some advisors and aviation corp bonuses.
Play as Germany in the EndSieg mod with the 1943 start date. That would have you starting your game right after the disastrous Kursk offensive.
Challenge, do a mega campaign and make a run from ck 3 to stellaris of a DIY nation from CK3 that at some point rules the world and attempts to rule the galaxy in stellaris.

I havent seen anyone do this but, stakuyi i have a tip for you for getting collabs faster.
Get atleast 3 spies early asap then build a network on soviets until 50% and then assign one spy to do silent intel (so it would stay 50%). And those other 2 spies set them to automatically repeat the collabr government and u wont have a problem about it since ur network is always 50% sooo.
Plusssssss keeping intel silent will make u worry less about your agents getting captured

Reality: Italy taking over the world.
I actually did exactly this with ussr usa uk and france at 200 percent and it was the most fun I've had in hoi4 in a while. It's come to a nuclear war in 1946 and I still haven't finished it. the soviet frontline has gone back and forth like 5 times already
I want to see a world where all the nations are buffed to 100% and stakuyi has to pay as Belgium or something like that.

Feedback from my hoi4 experience as germany.
Rush the tank agreement focus with soviets so you get 1940 mediums somewhere in 38-39, avoid taking spains capitals, grind that army xp, start building mils only in -38 and from there only build mils, before -38 you should be making civs only. The medium tank rush cannot be overstated, that makes air almost obsolete against AI if you make good templates and designs

Generally, this just goes to show if you spend time learning the game, understanding your tactics and the strengths of your nation it doesn't matter what difficulty you are on you will always be the Ai.

HOI4 (No mods) - "Turnabout is Fair Play" - Yugoslavia rises and siezes the old Ottoman Empire from the Balkans to Iraq, and the Mediterranean coastal region from Anatolia to the Egyptian/Libyan birder. Romania must be at least puppeted, if not outright siezed.

Try Hearts of Minecraft: Sins of the Cohort, (or if you have already, do it again but with another nation) it’s really fun and has focus trees that aren’t just 70 day spam. I enjoy playing as Imperia and the Southern Player Empire.

My trick is to lend lease the outdated stuff to my allies only if I have new planes, guns ect
Challange: max buff all Axis and Comintern members and try to survive as Poland without capitulating. Also you cannot declare war on any of current or future members of Axis and Comintern, but you must wait for them to declare on you (so no eating Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia nor Baltic states before the war; you basically can declare only on nation that where neutral whole WW2 and never felt to Axis nor Comintern)
Challenge: World conquest as Hawaii. It can be vanilla or a mod of your choice

German potential is just crazy, although I wonder how difficult it would have been if instead of defeating the Allies and gaining all those factories, you ignored them and went straight for the Soviets from the start or actually did the historical war on two fronts...now THAT would make max strength USSR fearsome.

if you want more of a challenge, give the soviet union some of the national spirits that are very strong. sadly this does need to be through console commands unless you know how to mod the soviet union to have them naturally. Imagine. I tried giving them just construction bonuses and in 1940 they had about 400 military factories.

Was playing hoi4 yesterday, and for some reason, the Italian AI was being extra dumb as I got the event as Britain where I could send volunteers to Ethiopia 😂
