Edit: My "rant" about shopping and social distancing seems to be causing some upset in the comments tonight. Just to clarify first.. When I say the word "fools" I don't mean that disrespectfully. I call everyone a "fool" including Sarah and the girls. For which lots of you will know if you watch these videos regular. Its just a word I use and it does not and was not meant to call out Asda workers as being "fools". However - I will state (maybe I didn't explain this in the video properly) but yes of course I am grateful that key workers like these are out doing their jobs so that we can eat and get the essentials we need. BUT - what I meant in my "rant" was that there is ways that people should be performing their jobs that don't then encroach on another persons well being. They too should be social distancing from other customers and people in the store. They are not immune and they are not wearing PPE (just to clarify I don't expect them to stand for a 12 hour shift in a mask). So they should be social distancing whilst doing their roles. Thats for their safety as well as the safety of the customers in there. AND from MY experience (not anybody elses) the staff in the particular Asda were not respecting peoples social distance at all. From close up chats in the isles with customers, stacking shelf items over the top of customers (including myself). Which right now should not be happening. Thats all my "rant" was about. I was NOT trying to insult any type of key worker. I was just pointing out the facts that no type of precautions were being looked after in that particular store. There is a world wide pandemic happening and there should be these safety precautions in place. Thats all. No offence was meant by anything I said in that "rant".
~ for people making comment about us "travelling during a pandemic" etc. Let's remember that when we travelled to The Maldives - there were NO restrictions in place here. Not even the non essential travel. That happened once we returned to the UK. We had a job that we could not cancel. It was not a frivolous holiday just because we could. There were circumstance that meant we were unable to change or cancel the travel plans at that time. Not to mention the fact that there were NO restrictions in place when we travelled. That all happened once we returned.

If you had issues with the store and it's colleagues who are risking their lives to keep their shelves stacked to deadlines in order to feed the country, you probably should have raised it with the manager instead of speaking about it on your social media platform to your large following who are very obviously going to take offence
I think some people have nothing better to do than to pick out comments and turn them into something over nothing.

Hey chris, I’m a big fan of your family but I didn’t agree with what you said about the asda key workers. I work in retail and have every day put my health at risk to provide everyone with a service and food and essentials on the shelf. If we waited for everyone to move we’d get no where, the shelfs would be bare and we’d be the ones constantly getting customers coming up to OUR FACES asking for that stock or complaining about the lack of stock. We social distance as best we can but sometimes it is just impossible or too hard and tbh customers aren’t the best at it either. We aren’t FOOLS or taking the MICK, we’re just doing our job the best we can at a tiring, busy and stressful time!! I’d quite happily have isolated in the safety of my own home for the past 12 weeks with no risk of catching the virus but I couldn’t! Xx

I totally agree that sometimes other people shopping don’t seem to care and aren’t respectful to others space which is frustrating really annoys me too.
But Chris I think it’s very disrespectful of you calling the supermarket employees fools. They’re working incredibly hard keeping the supermarkets going, they don’t get to stay home and stay safe so please think of this before calling them fools they do have a job to do. It’s also not currently compulsory to wear a mask in the supermarkets in the uk.

Surely if you’re that worried about catching the virus you would leave your camera and just get on with the shopping as quick as you can? And then you go on about the workers and call them ‘fools’? It’s almost impossible to social distance whilst working in a shop. The shelves need restocking almost constantly and it can’t just be done when nobody is there, we also can’t and aren’t expected to stick to the one way system otherwise we’d never get anything done! Yes customers still come up to you to ask questions or have a chat, can’t tell them not to when it’s your job to help them
Yes they need restocking but the whole point of the rant was instead of workers trying to reach over you to stack the shelves, they should wait till you’ve done.

Bit judgy regarding Asda colleagues who have been working flat out to stock shelves and keep the country moving, consider how people working in supermarkets feel having to work in these stressful times, they still have targets to reach and are also human and liable to have lapses in concentration a polite could you step back a second is all that is needed in this situation

Complaining about key workers who are trying to do their jobs and stock the shelves for you to buy from is bang out of order. If they weren't doing what they do, there would be nothing for you to buy... maybe think about what their day-to-day lives are right now in comparison to yours. You complain about having to shop once a week; they are in these environments everyday whilst most get to stay home safely, risking their lives for US...the last thing they deserve is a rant from entitled shoppers. I'm ashamed that I used to love your channel so much after seeing your terrible attitude recently. I just pray that you learn to think and love with a kind and genuine heart and not just for the benefit of what makes a good video. Key workers genuinely are heroes and I'm sending so much love and gratitude to any who may see this.

I’m not quite sure how you think it’s acceptable to call those key workers fools. They put your food on the shelves so you can buy it. They can’t always stick to the rules. I definitely can’t as a dental nurse and neither can those in hospitals. Are they fools for not being able to stick to 2m rule? No I didn’t think so, shop workers are still helping the public in a different way. If you wanted to protect yourself more I’d start by putting the mask on the right way round as it being that way round results in it being less effective. I’m not hating but I just think sometimes think before you speak as that single comment could have upset a lot of people who are trying their best and haven’t been able to stay at home through this pandemic and have put their own lives at risk to help everyone else.

Back tracking on what you said Chris good one. What was said was said. Asda workers are key workers during this pandemic risking their lives and loved ones so your family and the rest of the UK has food and essentials in to survive.

Lost a subscriber tonight and I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s unsubscribed !!!! You went on holiday at the start of a pandemic and said other people were over reacting, then to call Asda workers fools, they are KEYWORKERS. They work long shifts and will sanitise as much if not more than what you do. They go to work everyday whilst you sit and get scared to do a quick 15 minute food shop. Think what you said in tonight’s vlog said a lot more about you than it does anybody else. Extremely disappointed !
They went on holiday before it got bad and before restrictions were in place. I’m sure people were travelling home from holiday too🤷🏻♀️

My first grandchild was born in 2001. I bought her a real cute doll when Christmas came and everytime she heard it "cry", she would cry! It was heartbreaking to hear her! Her mother put the doll away.
When my two boys were small, we had gotten them some sock monkey figures, they were terrified of them! They were the kind with the large red grins so we got rid of them. Thats the only two episodes over the years that I can think of!
I love Christmas movies too, its never a wrong time to enjoy them!

my mums a supermarket worker so she is clast as key worker,and tbh im quite offended about what you said. lost a bit of respect for you.
I don’t want this to be seen as hate however when going to the shops you don’t HAVE to wear a mask. The shop workers are going out everyday risking their health for people to call them ‘fools’ and not caring about social distancing they are trying their best. At the minute you just have to look out for not only yourself but vulnerable others and maintain social distancing. Please don’t get offended I have been a fan of this channel for over two years.
Some of them are fools though... my local Asda has workers literally stood next to a customer having a conversation. Is that social distancing? No

Chris I agree 100% people think things are the same as last year. My house mates I live in a trip Plex with comunial areas and they think they can have people over, like nothing is wrong. My mum is a key worker. I respect every key worker BUT I have also had problems whilst shopping and the workers have come right up to me to put stuff in their trolleys. They have also been stood around chatting away blocking aisles so I couldn't get to what I needed. People need to stop being so soft and realise that not every worker is being tarnished its just the few that are not helping the situation right now. I completely get you and what you meant. Try not to worry. Good on you for explaining though. Shows you are a nice guy and you are worried what others think. Unfortunately some people will literally look for anything to pick out. X
