One of THE greatest comedians to EVER walk the earth...Rodney Dangerfield
Yup. Too bad he passed away 😢
I saw Rodney in the 80s. He came out and rattled off jokes non stop for over an hour , I was laughing so hard I couldn’t breath . Thank you for all the laughs Mr Dangerfield, a legend
I saw him in 1989. Same thing. He did 90 minutes of one liners (that works about to about 360). By the end of the show, people were exhausted. That night, he was as funny as any comedian I have heard, before or since. He _killed_ that night.
I saw Rodney in the '80s, too, and he was excellent! Long live Rodney Dangerfield!
rodney was the best, he could really make you laugh, and forget all your troubles!. shame all of them are gone now ed mac man, johnny carson , robert goulet, and rodney dangerfield. now rodney tells his jokes to a higher level, god bless you, and thanks for all the laughs. Louie Vaccaro, Las Vegas.
Exactly 😂💯 killing me
Porn
I never get tired of Rodney's jokes.
Same 🤣🤣🤣💖💖💖
*GIANT* *KILLER*
If you're having a BAD DAY....watch these...you WILL better!!! 😭😭😭
Noticed, how Johnny used to let Rodney go loose without interrupting, but only to back up or reaffirm what he already said for comedic effects, Carson was the best and so was Dangerfield, true legends.
Imagine today’s night talk hosts back then? none of them would have made it.
In my opinion none of them make it now.
Seth Meyers in 1982 would be mocking "The Donald".
Except for the spark plug, but he interrupts him at the end of the joke, and I can’t hear it?
@@ut000bs 😂
@@AFMMarcelD no argument…. I was just hoping someone can fill me in the punchline to the joke
Even after all these years it's still funny.
It's just mind bogling how a guy can go on endlessly with all these one liners on such different subjects! There's only one answer. Comedic genius! PERIOD! How we miss Rodney!
Plus, I believe Rodney wrote his own material.
@@jameshorton7496 well it's a well known fact that this is what he did! Could you think of anyone else that could write this kind of stuff for him? 🤣🤣
What is amazing is that his material got even better over time. This is nothing compared to his later quips.
That...and cocaine 😂
@@PhoenixAscending Nah! He was way before cocaine became popular! Besides you can easily recognize a coke head, because their noze are so affected that they constantly keep on sniffling
Rodney was a natural born comedian. He was born to make people laugh.
Rodney never breaks character. You gotta love it.
Carson and Rodney,Still Timeless.More laughs in this clip then talk shows today.
This was 50 years ago, and we’re all laughing harder with Rodney than we would with anyone today.
What laughs on talk shows today?
Mr. Dangerfield was one of a kind. ❤
No he wasn't.
I never get tired of watching Johnny Carson smoking on TV
Rodney Dangerfield going non-stop for 11 minutes, Robert Goulet losing his mind with laughter--this is excellent!
I'm so old I was watching the night Ed Sullivan introduced Robert Goulet as .... Robert Gullet !!!
@@jamesalexander5623 😄
I watched it a second time just for Goulet's reactions.
I was just wondering who that person was. I recognized the three others. I was born in the 1970’s so Robert was a little before my time. Thanks for the info
I'm going to the Goodwill to get me a Jimmy Davis album
There were some ALL-TIME gems in those 11 minutes!! LOVE Rodney! Johnny set em' up perfectly for Rodney!
The children's zoo joke's turn caught me off guard, so I laughed at a joke that many would not find funny today. Rodney was non-stop.
Yeah their were like Abbott&Costello😂😅
Rodney was my dad's favorite comedian he loved all his movies R.I.P. Rodney and my pop ! ❤
Caddy shack my all time fav comedy with Rodney and Chevy Chase and Bill Murray.... You'll never again find a comedy with the funniest comedians in one movie
Rodney was awesome, I saw his last two shows at The Tropicana in Vegas. R.I.P Rodney, you've all the respect in the world.🙏🇺🇸
He was the best!
Don't recall him ever using four letter bombs like Eddie, though I do like Eddie.
@@youturd55 Eddie who?
@@m42037Murphy
@@youturd55he did in his nightclub act but never on TV shows
Rodney Dangerfield spent a LOT of time rehearsing his new material over and over in not only his club, but other little clubs. He wanted to get it perfect. I think this is one reason so many other comedians look up to him.
What a treat this was. I never saw this show and I've seen him a lot on Carson
My two favorite Carson guests were Rodney and Mr. Baseball, Bob Uecker. What a great show
Loved the appearance where Carson showed pictures highlighting Uecker's baseball career and Bob shared the jokes and stories behind them. It was hilarious. Johnny always made his guests look good.
Bob Uecker is one of the very best "deadpan" comedians ever. He was a great addition to the "Major League" movie.
I'd take Rodney and Robin, Bob I never cared for. Eddie Murphy and Rich Little also
Don Rickles?
I agree
Having seen a few of Rodneys clips from his many Carson appearances it really makes me wonder just how many...jokes this guy had in his head. A few I have heard before but many are new and they just KEEP ON COMIN. He was killin Bob Goulet in this clip and of course Carson figured out early just get Rodney pushed away from the dock and he'll go for 20 minutes solid. All time fav. Classic delivery keeps even the older stuff fresh. Amazing
He wrote jokes for like 20 years while selling aluminum siding
The lying face down on the psychiatrist couch joke held up!
There was another, shrink joke of his telling the Dr. He had to see him he was REALLY really down.....Doc said sure anytime but it's cash up front now
My wife and I made a pact. Only smoke after sex. I've had the same pack for 10 months😂. She became a chain smoker. Just one of his greatest.
For eleven minutes, I laughed myself out of breath! Thank you for this classic entertainment! Love Rodney and Johnny together and this clip was one of their absolute BEST!
Note that Johnny was smoking . No PC/WOKE stuff then.
...Ha!
...aired November 21, 1973...the day after my 10th birthday...
...Love Rodney!
This was 8 days before my 11th birthday!
@@suzannefisher3969 A few month before my dad said, "There's nothing on Carson tonight turn out the lights."
Robert Goulet was having a blast lol. Back when we had true entertainment.
Carson and Rodney,Still Timeless.More laughs in this clip then talk shows today.. Mr. Dangerfield was one of a kind. .
Great times staying up as a kid at my grandparents house watching Johnny Carson. Everyone else was asleep. Just me watching The Tonight Show on a huge Magnavox color TV with a remote that weighed 5 pounds. Watching the boring local 11 0 clock news till finally at 11:30 and then...here's Johnny!
Yip....it was great. Now we have left wing activists like Kimmel attacking conservatives...and America.
These were the years of total Class on late night television. Johnny wrote the book on it. The respect he had for his guests was a wonderful thing to see.
Rodney was one of a kind.
The one and only
A golden age in entertainment when comedians were actually funny and could capture a audience without every other word being the f bomb.
I'm not sure what brought me more joy, Rodney Crushing it for 10 minutes or Goulet just losing it!
I saw Robert Goulet in a Safeway grocery store in San Francisco in maybe 1983 and he was walking up & down the grocery isles with his shopping cart loudly singing opera. I'll never forget that!!!!!!!! 👍😆
I had always thought of Robert Goulet as suave and debonaire and sophisticated-to see him busting a gut like any other schmo was an eye-opener!!!
The magic of Carson: being the straight man and letting the guest shine. Rodney was banging them down one after another.
So wonderful to see these 4 legends having such a great time.
Was 11 when this aired. Wasn't allowed to stay up that late. Would do my best to sneak close enough to hear, though, and always got caught. I just wanted to share in the laughter, but was always denied. Thanks to this platform, I can finally watch.
No respect
Don't you dare watch these YT clips... GO TO BED!!!
He was truly one of a kind, and the last of the burlesque comedians, though most people didn't know that.
Robert Goulet , looked like he was having the best time ,out of all of them .
I love these videos of Carson and Dangerfield they have chemistry
This is the third one I'm watching in a binge and he's told the same two jokes 6 times.... no respect I tell ya.🤣
Rodney's delivery is perfect! Johnny is great alongside him. I love his jokes, they are timeless!
Forever missed!
Carson and Rodney,Still Timeless.More laughs in this clip then talk shows today.. So wonderful to see these 4 legends having such a great time..
Total respect Rodney nobody ever could fill your shoes😊
This is real comedy!
Johnny's hysterical through-out, i.e. participating in Rodney's act.
Once Rodney hits the chair. It's like Abbott and Costello.
He Never Stops!
Rodney was a genius
I die laughing every time Dr Vinny Boombatz is mentioned.
Oh man Rodney's on point, he had me crying!! Lol!
You will never see legends like this ever again how they respected and joke with each other man I miss these good times.
Rodney Dangerfield was very funny and very clever. The rapid-fire delivery was perfectly timed.
Childhood memories 😁👍🏼
Great guy! Thank you 😊
Always has Johnny laughing...both legends
i love rodney and johnny. they are both so much funnier and have more personality than anyone alive today.
When Johnny pretends he don't know who the doctor is and Rodney's reaction was absolute Gold. The way he yelled angrily: "Dr. Vinnie Boombatz!"
Goombatz.
@@reneadinaro8183he’s used both.
Whoaaa!! Rodney kills it again! Caddy shack. Back to School. The man had the riff and rapid fire brain. Easy Money. So swift and right on target!! Goulet cracked up repeatedly. Classic funny
Loads of laughs from a man who could still hit the "Triple Lindy" well into his 60's.
Cool to hear the jokes Rodney would have been telling when this pup arrived!
That's that good 70's yayo for sure!
I love the forced continuity. He just throws things together and pretends they follow some kind of logical sequence.
Hence the flop-sweat! His brain was whirring!! Trying to think of jokes that the Network would allow.
After many years of Carson Rodney videos, first time I've seen this
Absolutely my favorite comedian!
Performed so far out in the woods-was reviewed in Field & Stream!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🌷
The good ol days...
Yes, heartwarming, yet strangely sad, considering our current times.
If you notice Johnny was an expert at playing the straight man supporting the talent. Kudos to Carson.
Love when Rodney breaks a character when a joke doesn’t do that great or Johnny derails his routine. His reaction is priceless
That nonstop series of zingers only Rodney could do.
Legend.
Dangerfield, he got all of my respect. True Legend!
Rodney was on his game ! killer ...
I saw Rodney live once, back in the eighties. Thought I was gonna die from laughing! The man was a genius.
Could you imagine being Robert Goulet with the ringside seat to this flow of consciousness? Not only couldn't he hold it together but he was probably in shock for days...
This one was hilarious. The good 'ol days in the '70s.
No cursing just pure jokes… Rodney and robin were the greatest of all time
No they weren't.
You can't tell jokes like this it's so good
Dr Vinny boombatza what a legend
He will always be a great comedian and there will never be another like him
The GOAT of stand-up!
👍
Rest his soul. Rodney Dangerfield was brilliant
A new Rodney video. Epic.
God bless Rodney and jonny...both funny guys😊
Joan Rivers called Carson "the greatest straight man ever. He knew exactly when to stay quiet and when to set up the punchline." He proved it every time Jack Roy was his guest.
Good one!! (Jack Roy: Rodney's original stage name).
or Jacob Cohen.
Johnny is the perfect set-up man.
His jokes are timeless.
Rodney Dangerfield gets MY Respect as the Best/Funniest Comedian of All Time - The 🐐if you will....
Rodney truly was a legend.
Fweddy fwinstone 😆😆😆
Now that is real and honest comedy. No foul language, no politics, no agenda pushing, no boobs and flashing lights.
He did stand-up and sit-down comedy in one show 😂
Robert Goulet had a ring side seat and enjoyed every moment of it.
The king of one liners!
Henny Youngman
It was a PRIVILEGE to grow up with these guys. Respect, Rodney!!
This is what comedy is no foul language at the minimum. Clean real Era when talk shows where talk shows entertaining and promoting there movies and schedules.
this was one of his best, in my opinion, performances on Carson...Fonzo's Knuckle Room...Fonzo was tough He'd say to me: "Be funny. People come here to forget their troubles." How do you forget you're up for manslaughter.
Rodney Dangerfield...The best...😂😂
The Best Always Has The Best.
Thanks for posting this. Truly great.
I wonder if Rodney made more people laugh than anyone before or since. Johnny and he had great chemistry and milked it many times to large audiences.
Johnny and Rodney are f-king awesome!
Rodney, Don Rickles, Johnny Carson, Comedic Geniuses.
Two great comedians sitting together that I miss
This celebrates an era back when the adults were in the room. I miss those days sometimes.
I can't think of a current comedian with this much talent.
None better than Johnny and Rodney!
The very best guy delivering one-liners. The master.
It's always a great pleasure to start a day with laughter. Thanks again Rodney Dangerfield. Would have been a pleasure to have seen one of his shows.
Genius....funny as hell and like Rickles, these guys were hilarious.
The one and only...we miss him.
Rodney is the greatest!
One of the Greatest.
No doubt about it.
