If you're a longtime fan, having her fall off the radar every now and then isn't concerning, but there's been a bit of discourse primarily on Reddit about her becoming a Trumpist, which unless she's _really_ lost the will to live, she'd find appalling. But her Twitter's been deactivated and her other social media accounts have had almost no activity. I don't think she's the type that hits a certain age and lets it get the best of her, so I'm just gonna remain optimistic and fantasize that she's finally found a music distributor and is merely putting the final touches on the album she's been promising for twenty-five years.

I want to sincerely thank you for this. Quality remixes/mashups of "Groove is in the Heart" are exceedingly rare, but this video did something even more profound for me: It gave me a momentary glimpse of what it felt like to have seen that music video for the first time when I was eleven years old, a tiny gay boy in the middle of nowhere (Wisconsin). I was absolutely dazzled by it and in the 33 years between then and now, it literally molded me into the person I am today. I've heard this song hundreds of times, took my stage name from it, and in a day that will always be a surreal dream that brought the whole story full circle, I even performed it live with Lady Miss Kier herself. Until today, the years had somewhat fogged up my ability to recapture that magic. I really needed it, so thank you. With the world as it is right now, we could all use a bit more Deee-Lite.
