- In this video we tell our story of why we decided to buy Narrowboat Thistle & Rose, the continual changes to our decision making process; should we keep a house, stay in a marina or just say 'Screw it , Let's do it!'.
We also show footage from our time cruising the Leicester Ring with Rozzie learning to steer the boat.
And finally we reveal how we bribe Ralph to sit still before we turn to drink from the pressure of becoming vloggers.

Just recently joined your vlog, and i hope you have a fantastic time. Am i correct in saying you have bought a reverse layout semi trad, something that appeals to me. Any specific reason you did a reverse layout? With good wishes from Victoria Falls.
Hi Victoria, we have a cruiser stern which is gives us more room at the back. We wanted the bedroom at the front so when we coming in and out of the boat we weren't go through the bedroom. It's also easier to pass up the cup of tea with the kitchen at the back when cruising. ;) Glad to have you onboard.

New boats are north of £100k and can be up to £200k, it depends on what you have done and the extra's. Bit like buying a new car. Thanks

Yes it is! We had a mooring there for a short time before becoming continuous cruisers. We met Love Life Triumph a couple of times, lovely couple! 😊 thanks for watching

Nice vlog, with so many narrowboaters on CZcams it will be difficult to build a large following unless you can produce something different. There are several who post videos suitable for Insomniacs, yes, we know its tranquil, nice scenery etc, but who wants to watch 40 minutes of a narrowboat making its way from one place to another, I'm afraid this happened in your vlog from 10 to almost 20 minutes, sorry but it's been done before many times. Good luck I wish you well. Hopefully you will take my comments as they were meant, constructive criticism. 👍🙏
