- I was very kindly invited to ride along on a humanitarian aid mission in Kenya with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) to see the work they're doing to connect remote communities in Kenya and South Sudan at first hand.

Beat aviation channel. So bored of the constant barrage of ohh look I flew on the best business class. Keep it up Noel. Awesome videos
To be fair his next video is probably one of those.
Agree
While content is great. Really starting to get worse with the ads 7 is slightly taking the piss. I mean I watch some to give him the revenue great content but really getting hard to watch with so many ads.
He does that also....anything to do with planes is ok by me 😆
you should inspire that pilot to make his own videos, something similar to Missionalry Bush Pilot. It would make some really nice content
Hi Derrick, I work for the organisation that appears in this video. They do make many videos all across CZcams that the BushPilots are involved in creating. Just search for Mission Aviation Fellowship.
@@checoetzee2746 awesome ! Will do
What an incredible video, thank you Noel. This has to be one of your best. I am very familiar with MAF, having worked with them in Ghana, Burkino Faso and Indonesia. They do amazing work and facilitate a number of very worthy and important charities in the developing world. Thank you for raising awareness of them.
That was one of your best videos to date. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I used to live in Kenya and visited MAF a few times in the past. Thanks.
Amazing to hear Sam’s Northern Irish accent, in Kenya. Especially for me as I’m from Northern Ireland myself. Sounded like I was flying from my local airfield. Really Interesting Report - Definitely learned a lot from about MAF. ✈️
He is from Northern Ireland?!?
MAF is does great. Great opportunity Noel to go for a flight with them
Amazing country. Been to kenya a couple of times. The clouds always seem to look like fairy tales. Keep it up Noel, can't wait to see more.
I volunteered in Kenya for six months great to see the lovely Kenyan landscape again
Fantastic. Thank you Noel . Reminds me of the RFDS (flying doctors) here in Australia. Us in the rural areas would be lost without them.
Really interesting. The unsung heroes providing humanitarian services for refugees in the middle of nowhere where this must be their lifeline.
7:05..The whole town had come to watch our arrival..Proceeds to show 2 people minding their own business.
MAF are an amazing organization! Phenomenal pilots and work done. Thanks for this brilliant video!
I've flown with MAF a lot in east Africa. Awesome people. Both C206 and C208s all over. And yes, I've had my share of spotting to help out, including dodging one near midair over Wilson. Fun times. :)
Done a Flying Safari with Safarilink in Kenya, magnificent views when the weather is right........some bouncy landings also had to clear some wildlife before we could take off....even stayed at Governers Camp(now that is posh for a Nottinghamshire lad like me)..... great days.....
So good o MAF in action and to actually see Locichocio where we sen a container of aid so many years ago. The huge refugee camps never cease to affect me. So easy to forget how many refugees there are.
Now that`s a pilot form Northern Ireland, great that he has not lost his accent, doing some fantastic work sir.
You will often see cows on the tarmac at British airports too, most of them fresh back from Benidorm.
Great flying skills, thanks for giving us such a ride Noel, love your videos mate.
Yup I thought he was from our wee country
Dont use the word tarmac, if you're into aviation use apron or stand
@@julianthomson541 Sir, I bow to your superior knowledge, is the apron not the ramp? Is a stand not a gate? These cows are dangerous creatures, they wander
about willy nilly, often intoxicated and pose a real danger, especially to single males. They often leave clues on the tarmac, sorry, apron or stand (My Bad)
These can include, broken fake nails of various colours, false eye lashes and empty bottles of cheap duty free Gin.
@@amc3 the ramp is where an aircraft is parked and the apron is in essence what flight attendants usually call the tarmac so where you would walk across after getting out if an aircraft. No problem for the mistake I just get triggered by the word sometimes
@@julianthomson541 Flight Attendants is such on old word, they not called Cabin Crew these days?
awesome vid Noel, I hope you pinch yourself everyday at some of theses incredible experiences - keep them coming ! Happy Christmas to you and yours mate
I used to fly to school with MAF in PNG - great pilots
Great Noel, thanks for sharing. You slotted in so well with MAF, a brilliant and honest organisation.
Noel, you're doing a good job by letting us know about MAF. The video is great too which shows lovely Kenyan scenery from above.
Great video! I love MAF!
I LOVE MAF TOO!
I noticed years ago that there are good Christian charities which help in African and in the States in the American Indian coummunity with development and food distribution. God bless them.
Noel just giving life during this COVID, we don't want to see what they offer in business class....we want to see a plane land on a runway filled with potholes!!!
And motorbikes
It's awesome that you got to fly with MAF I love that organization.
Great video, would be amazing if you could team up with Missonary Bush Pilot in Papa New Guinea one day!
That would be cool!
That guy in PNG is a legend, his channel is amazing especially for avgas geeks like us...
You can watch videos on PNG Bush Pilot's if you search Mission Aviation Fellowship South Africa, they out up a video on PNG recently (September I think). They are the organisation appearing in this video.
As a Kenyan, I must say Marsabit is beautiful... I always assumed it was a desert over there.
Bana exactly,a hidden gem
It's nice to hear that some Africans also make this assumption, not just us Europeans.
@@exiletsj2570 It is because Northern Kenya is the remotest place in the country with marginalized communities. It so remote that local pastoralist herders own have guns there and often engage in cattle rustling that can turn deadly hence the insecurity that discourages most Kenyans from visiting those places.
Great vlog Noel !
Really enjoying the series
Great video noel, loving the African series! Also really great to acknowledge the work the MAF do! Thanks for the great content! Looking for to the next one. Happy Christmas to your family.
Noel.. Wow.. I've watched every single one of your posts.. This was great.. Amazing work mate.. And still funny to hear your accent as I'm from Tamworth.. East mids as you know.. Nice work mate.. Stay safe
Amazing vlog actually quite jealous right now especially the last airport You visited with all the derelict aircraft. Proper flying in my eyes and thanks for bringing this to us roll on the next vlog
Thanks a ton!
@@noelphilips Noel you looked like you were absolutely buzzing 👏 at the end of the video. It looks incredible out there. So pretty and such a tragic area. Great job Noel 👏 ......
What an amazing experience Noel. Yet again another informative and educational video!
Awesome! Thinking about whether I want to serve with MAF in the future.
Hi Oscar! I LOVE MAF! Pray about it... We would love to have you reach out!
This is brilliant work, as a Kenyan, i have never even been that far North... thank you Noel
I've flown with MAF in Tanzania....Great People...doing a great job.
Okay, I am seriously jealous of you for this one.
I am a huge fan of yours!! I LITERALLY JUST ADORE YOUR VIDEOS! Much love from Cairo ❤️❤️
I’m from Saudi Arabia 😄😅🇸🇦❤️👍
Awesome flight Noel! Great background music :))
Awesome video, love your unusual adventures Noel 👍
Glad you like them!
Nice one, enjoyed the journey...
uuh - a dash7 @minute 22:07. Have many good memories onboard on a dash7, which for many years was the workhorse here in Greenland
Woah cool are you from Greenland?
The plane registration literally means 5 Jesus... Lol! Nice one MAF.
Amazing work and amazing flight!! Thanks!!!
Hi from NZ. Great video Noel. So cool to see a place we usually don’t get to see.
?
Great adventure thanks for sharing
I had the opportunity to work alongside MAF flight operations in Port Au Prince Haiti for two weeks after the 2010 Earthquake. Its was a great experience. I also used their flights to ferry from boarding school to our house in Guatemala as a Missionary Kid. Thanks for sharing.
Great video Noel really enjoyed it
What an incredible adventure. I used to arrange student travel groups to Kenya and would love to visit there someday. So enjoyed this video!
Fantastic.
Merry Christmas 👍🎄🇦🇺
Great video and really awesome experience!!! / Regards from Cyprus :)
Was that Lake Naivasha at 21:30? I visited there last year and it was incredible. Riding around in a small boat with a two-stroke engine dodging hippos. What an experience.
Great video and good to hear about this work out in Africa
Brilliant video - brilliant organization. Gods love in action.
Great video Noel 👍. I would love to see more videos like this one.
💯
Thanks Noel
Keep up the great content Noel thanks for the new African videos!!
Glad you like them!
Awesome video!!!!
Great to see you flying with MAF Noel. They do a great work. BTW, did they start the flight with a prayer?
You are right. Most Kenyans have never been to the upper part of the country because that place is so remote. The majority of people live in southern part of the country because urban areas and cities developed along the old railway line from Mombasa to Kisumu and Kampala through Nairobi. To make it worse, the Northern part of the country is the driest and with poor infrastructure. But I think that all this is about to change because of the ongoing road constructions in this remote part of Kenya.
Great video! Really enjoyed it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another awesome video.. stunning scenery that stretches for miles, beautiful shots flying through the clouds above lush greenery.. so fascinating to see the remote communities and that immense refugee camp. Really brought home how important aviation is in this immense and diverse world. Your content gets better and better Noel! Wishing you, Rach and the family a very happy and peaceful Christmas 👍
Thank you so much 😀 Yes and to you as well
Really enjoying your videos!
amazing video .thanks
Where's the pilot from?
He's a Northern Irish accent mixed in with abit of Aussie lol
Haha he's originally from Northern Ireland and went to high school in New Zealand
How does it sound Aussie lol he sounds nothing like us
Great, great report.
Great stuff Noel, hope you are enjoying your adventures. Pilot was really cool and engaging.
Great vlog as always!
What a brilliant video!
Fantastic story Noel.
That was a good one Noel ;o)
Trust you Enjoyed my beautiful country Kenya.
I think it's worth visiting Africa !
Amazing video...it's a shame that I'm learning about MAF just now when I've lived in Kenya for most of my life 😊
Great video!
Great video, a completely different take on aviation, and it reminded me of the series on TV called Bush Pilots.
Cool, thanks!
@@noelphilips I just looked back in my logbook and I have about 20 hours in GGALB back in 2009
BRAVO! BRAVO!
Utterly wholesome content
Loved it .
Best video yet my friend
Thanks Noel and captain ✅
Great Vlog!
Fascinating
Great content keep it up Noel best in class. You could be grounded for a while in the UK
nice one mate
Great Video as Always.
Thank you I appreciate that
Pastor and former potential as Presidential candidate is correct about the potential abuses in AI and IT.
Love your vids brb
Beautiful landscape. It’s great to hear that in 2020 HF Shortwave radio is still being used as a backup. Is the regular flight Comm. VHF AM? It sounds very clear.
I flew in one their new Daher Kodiak 100. Great experience. Jet A fueled turbo prop.
01:39 that control tower looks just like the control tower here in Trivhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal 🇳🇵 and an amazing video too
Both are probably Chinese.
@@AndrewTubbiolo its nepali over here
Fabulous really enjoyed that
If you get the chance go visit Ghana its also a wonderful place
"Sometimes I can't even find the airstrip"
Me: well, I have had nice life
So you flew on the flight deck of a regional airliner? Cool! I was on the flight deck for the landing of a 747-300 in Perth for Qantas in 1994. That was back when those things were still possible, before 9/11! My dad kept asking them for me, and the third time they said yes!
Just came across your channel, can you please make a video on
Your gears? The camera you use, your set up, how you mount them, how you’re able to film people without them freaking out etc.
Great videos
Great video show us more of Africa
Cool video ✌🏽😎🔥💯
Great content! One small question, how do you record the headset sound? Do you split the output from the avionics and feed it as line input into some recording device?
Thank you Noel another gem from you from your Kenya 🇰🇪 safari...this is really awesome!
Great video. I will be on the top of Mt Kenya in four weeks' time....
Good luck! Why not mount Kilmanjaro though
@@Ankunda717 mt Kilimanjaro might be the highest buh it can't match the beauty of the great mt Zion ...mt kenya
