There were several extra law enforcement officers on hand for Nigel Sanders' court appearance. Prosecutors want him held without bond but his attorney disagreed.

Oh please. It's not like this fool is Harry Houdini or something. He was able to escape due to shitty / lax security overall. But he was a low-risk inmate as well, not a murderer or rapist (that we know of). No reason to treat him like he should be in a SuperMax.

And stop harassing the mom, etc. Unless she dropped him off a cake with a file inside of it, she did what just about any mother would do in that situation. My mother was the most straight-laced, law-abiding, "god fearing" woman on the planet. But if I turned up on her doorstep in the same situation, she would have absolutely sheltered me and probably put me in her trunk and driven me to Canada. That's what being a mom is all about.
