Thank you Lyndsey! I have dreams of building my own some day! I want a huge work tables in front of a row of windows sort of like a sunroom. I also want a lye room where I mix lye have it be crazy ventilated and closed off from the main space. :-)
@@moriversoap that does sound pretty awesome! I'm hoping that in the next couple years that I can be setup in my own little workshop with my own viewers and all my variety of micas and oils and everything!! I want to be mad soap maker like a mad scientist lol. Just kidding on that last part.

How exciting! I know what it’s like to go through a completely stocked soap room/shed and redo it for easier access of certain items. I probably redo mine about every 2-3 years just because it gives me a little excitement for starting fresh and clean all over again.
Yours looks amazing!!! Can’t wait to see some of the rainbows come out (if you were able to) I also understand the heat situation. We have a shed that is not Insulated fully yet and the heat is dreadful! I’m so happy for you and your new style there!

What about, during the warmer months, film your soap making vids, but leave all your fans and such on and just put music over everything during editing? During essential parts, like adding fragrance or color, type of swirl ect, type it on the screen and add a product list, unless it's a custom mix, in the description box. Then we can enjoy watching you create fabulous, usable art AND you get to stay comfy!
Thank you Brenda! That's pretty much what my Short & Sweet videos are. ;-) I'm really reducing the amount of talking videos that I am doing right now. It really helps to just have fun with it and not be talking all the time. Haha!

Thank you! It does take a while...I thought I had it the way I wanted it before too. This arrangement is working much better. I have just accumulated shelves and tables over time. Eventually it all starts coming together.
I love your space. We are a functional family as well and with me being a crafty person I always trying to figure out how to use my space to the max. Not sure if anyone gave you this tip but you mentioned having a hard time filming in the summer maybe doing a voice over would help. Just an idea! I love your soap and videos.
Thank you! I've thought about doing voice overs...I don't think I could talk straight enough to get that done. Haha! I just love doing them 'in the moment'. Plus, I think I'd have to hide in a closet or something to do them. LOL

Hi Holly, my germaphobe sister soaper! Lol, I come back after 3 months of no videos and you've redone the studio! I thought for sure I'd be catching a rainbow soap video. Sister, just talk louder and run your air and fan, I would. I've missed a few videos, so I'll catch up. I just wanted to say "Hi!" and I'll be around a bit till I start fall things, which with the blasted heat, can start any time as far as I'm concerned. Take care and I'll be around!

You should be able to place a portable A/C unit near the window and have it vent through it. Even better, you could look into getting a mini-split. Both are quite and totally worth the money.
We originally tried doing the portable units and with two, they couldn't even put out the cooling that the one window unit could do. We'd love to do a mini-split but that isn't really a financial option at the moment. That being said, I don't mind it much for myself but it really doesn't work the best for videos.

What a blessing this video is~ I just moved into a larger production area and was agonizing how to organize. This is amazing~ I love the dedicated work spaces~ I have 2 assistants so this is pretty helpful~! Looks awesome~ I know it's probably hard to get re accustomed to the new areas~ LOL~ I'm always lost the first few days when I reorganize. But it looks awesome~! Great job~

This is so inspiring! How do you go about cleaning the bars if they have finger prints for example on them? I've been wiping every side with a damp cloth and buffing dry with a dry microfiber cloth. But man is that time consuming.

Love your studio, Holly! My studio is about half that size, but growing. My biggest problem right now is the filming setup. I would love to find the overhead track/trolley for the camera, lights, etc. Is your set up something you designed, or can you refer me to companies that specialize in this kind of filming setup? Everything has come from Sam's Club or Costco for the wire stuff. :-)
