    This video is strangely well timed. I recently made a large, 6"on side, dice out of .125 steel with tabs on the edges to self locate for welding on my Langmuir Systems Crossfire Pro plasma cutter. ( It weighs almost 7lbs...) The "dots" were cut out at 1.125". When it showed it to my friends at the local brewery one of them asked about the unequally weighted sides. We came up with the idea of engraving the dots instead of cutting them out. A laser engraver like this would be perfect.

    Hi Adam, thx for that review. I am currently looking into buying one of these laser and the Z1 has definitely caught my eye. But would it be possible, for us hobby people, to test some more cutting? I am into RC airplanes and would like to laser cut my own pieces out of Balsa and triplex (most of it is 3mm thick). also, would you recommend the 5W or the 10W for cutting? Grts

      @adamdebowski2037  Před 2 lety

      Hi Egon - you will have no problems at all cutting 3mm thick balsa. Problems with thickness start around 6-7mm balsa

      @@adamdebowski2037 thx for that answer. think I will take the 10W just to be sure.

    Hi, in your opinion, if you set the height of the laser a little higher could it widen the engraving line on the anodized aluminium cards?
    Did the package with the machine come from China or from an European country?
    Nice review (of a nice machine) 👍

      Yes - I think so. I learned after making this video that the 10W laser is focused at 7mm away - not 2mm like the 5W laser. I think you’re correct.

    Hello, thank you Adam for your video. Recently I bought the Camgo Z1 and I have a problem with the USB key. I put the microchip to him to download the driver and the computer asks me to format the USB. It's hopeless, in France nobody can help me. Does anyone have an idea please? Thank you !

      Hi cornel - why are you using the usb stick? I did everything in this video without it. No need for it.

      You bring up a very good point. For the 10W laser, I learned AFTER making the video that it should be 7mm. Regarding centering, I find it best to burn the origin into the spoilboard, and place the piece accurately with respect to that marking. Hope that helps!

    I would never use a open frame laser. its so unsafe, one reflection of that beam and your blinded instantly. I also wouldn't trust those goggles to be properly rated for that 10watt laser. If styropyro taught me anything, its that this is all wrong.
