Comgrow Z1 Laser Engraver, Rotary, Air Assist, Honeycomb & Cover - Full Test & Review

- In this video I'll be unboxing and testing the Comgrow Z1 laser engraver along with the rotary attachment, honeycomb bed, air assist, and protective cover. This laser engraver features a large 400x400mm work area, a 10W laser, fixed focus beam, and more. I'll be testing this machine on different types of material to see how well it actually performs. The dust cover is also said to be fireproof so I'll be testing that out as well. A link to where you can purchase this laser engraver and attachments can be found below. Suggestion:
When cutting thicker material, take the thickness of the material... divide by 2... subtract from the normal focal distance.
The thinking is that you are *slightly* out of focus until the half-way point. You then are *perfectly* focused and moving back towards *slightly* out of focus. The way that you had it set up, you were *perfectly* focused and getting worse as you went deeper.
That’s exactly what happened. I should have lowered the laser more but I didn’t. It was more just a test 🤷🏻♂️

This is definitely not something you want to operate in your home. Fumes from the burning/ cutting....run in a well ventilated garage.

I was just wondering on the first test that you did where you lowered the the suggested settings and you liked how it came out , did you even try to do it at the settings it suggested , and when were showing how many times it took to cut it all the way through it would have been better if you did it to the eagle and cut it off the sample piece of wood !
What value did you put into $101 when going from the rotary to the standard setup?

I also own a laser comgrow z1 and I have quite a lot of problems with it.. does anyone own it and can help me with some settings for it... I use lightburn... thank you very much
Ya I just bought one got $650 into it can’t connect to LightBurn can’t update the software for it I’m like seriously!! Tried to get ahold of them no response ask for a refund no response! Try to find videos on set up ain’t crap out there on a step by step of updating your software/firmware for the device itself and then showing connecting to lightburn!! Waste of money wish I never got it!!

Unfortunately, Comgrow products are cheaply made, and their 'support' is a nightmare.
I bought one of these. It was DOA! Power supply has 24v output, but the controller doesnt power up. Defective Chinese junk.

hei I just unboxed mine and since start keeps throwing various alarms at me and I cant make it work. /Have you figured your issues out? What were they? I cant seem to find answers online and also the customer service sucks.
